Yes!!! My mama didn't cook she was the drill sergeant of the house God Bless her Soul🙏🏼. She handled the business Daddy made the money and he always made breakfast on Saturday mornings unless he had something to fix. Anyway Mama made three things WONDERFULLY.... Chocolate Meringue Pie, Lemon Meringue Pie, and Cast Iron Baked Cornbread. She hated to cook. I have mastered her pies but I'm still trying to do her cornbread. I use your recipe: the Herbed Cornbread but I change the seasonings to my fams taste buds lol. But hers was dense and soooo good not crumbly at all. My kids love how I tweak your recipe. I add pickled jalapenos and shredded cheese to it and it's more tex mex... Honestly I never cook anything the same way twice. This Lemon Meringue was daddy's favorite and my Grandma Mae's requested dessert 🍋🍋🍋🍋🍋🍋🍋. I'm a CHOCOHOLIC🤣 but Lemon Meringue with Eagle Brand Milk and Meringue 😋😋😋😋😋 yummy💕

This is the one that I grew up with. Here in the South and humidity Creme of Tartare is a must to prevent the Meringue from weeping which it's still delectable allll syrupy and weeping makes me weep it tastes so good!!!! 🤗😘🌹💕 Love y'all!!!

ALWAYS "COOK" your egg yolks with the lemon juice BEFORE ADDING THE SWETTENED CONDENSED MILK!
Same protocol as lime juice in cerviche, it's science, not raw seafood.
