The words van and love only reflect me and the name Rik is also unsuitable, and the unsuitable names must be changed, and the big term love must be edited out - love only exists for me the only lovable being, and the word like should be used instead of love!
I'm from Greece and the Swedish language appealed to me after I saw a couple of Swedish movies. It's funny, because the population of Sweden and Greece is similar, so I know it is a small amount of people who speak it, but I like it so much, there is such a musicality in it! I'm not sure why I want to learn Swedish but I've always thought it was very interesting, way more than other European languages. I also find it's wayyyy easier than the Romance languages. I studied French, Portuguese and Spanish and other languages before Swedish and now am thinking "wow I could have easily learned Swedish anytime without waiting" because it's so simple and seems to be often spoken more clearly than some other languages. Also I think if a language is widely spoken or not it doesn't matter. Spanish and French are widely spoken and most people in my country study them in school but because they often are of no interest to the student nobody actually learns these languages to even a basic level of fluency (and cause they crazy complicated [in my opinion]). But most importantly thanks for making these videos! I really like them and think they must be helping many people to learn Swedish.
I wanted to learn swedish in the first place cuz of all the Folk and Viking Metal lyrics, years ago. Nowadays i dont care about that though its a good way to learn and its nice to know what Vintersorg, Thyrfing and Finntroll and so sing about. I remember almost every word I learned back then, gives you quite a different vocabulary... Kitteldags, Ursvamp, genom skogen, pÅ landet och havet, and so on haha. My answer of this question is I like the sound of pronounching it sound like german mix with france I grow up in Germany Hamburg in northen germany we talk plattdeutsch, the way how the people talk its sounds like swedish , and its easy to learn swedisch if you can talk german because there are many words that look same and spelt almost alike. I spoke Swedish in the 80s. I did not have the benefit of a circle of Swedish friends here in the USA. My Swedish friends still speak English because of the ubiquity in Swedish culture of the English language.

Hey you're absolutely right about languages. I'm Italian (and 'cause of that I can easily understand Spanish) and I study French and German at school. German is veeery useful to learn Swedish which is the language I'm currently learning. So yeah the more languages you know the more you can learnPs very good videos btw, very helpful.

I got bored, and after realising that several of my favorite RUclipsrs and musicians were Swedish or Norwegian, and a large part of their fan bases are also Swedish, I thought I'd give it a try. I am Canadian, and there is no reason that I would expect to travel to Sweden, especially with COVID, but I enjoy puzzles, and learning a language is like breaking a code.
Where I live you HAVE to learn 4 languages but I don't like 2 of them -Dutch (main language) -French (don't like,is spoken in the other half of my country) -English (easy, nice language.Very useful) -German (really don't like but there's 0,8% of germans in my country so I HAVE to learn it) But I would love to speak as close to fluent Swedish one day. Just for fun if anyone sees this guess my country (Not hard with all this information). :)

He estudiado español durante 2-3 años en la escuela pero no sé mucho hoy :/ Learning languages can be so interesting and funny :) As an german native speaker I would not completely referr to the simularity with swedish. There are some nouns and verbs which are simiular. For example "kommer" and "kommen". And I can deduce some words : "frukost" and "Frühstück". fru looks pretty like "frü",and the word "kost" in Germany is an other word for food^^ I love to see the relation between languages! Especially because I learned latin for many years in school, I'm able to deduce some spanish, italian, french, portuguise and so on..

I need to learn it Just moved to Sweden to work and although everyone speaks English when they talk to me, they speak Swedish among them and I get kind of excluded. Until someone remembers I don't speak it and translate what they are talking about And this is a bit annoying

+Keksi Killerkeks also als ich bisschen mit Schwedisch angefangen hab hatte ich schon das Gefühl dass es seeehr stark wie Deutsch ist, um genauer zu sein wie ein Mix aus Deutsch und Englisch, vor allem nämlich die Grammatik. Im Vergleich zu Spanisch oder Türkisch oder so ist es wirklich sehr sehr gleich.

Just moved to Sweden to work and although everyone speaks English when they talk to me, they speak Swedish among them and I get kind of excluded. Until someone remembers I don't speak it and translate what they are talking about
And this is a bit annoying
I think you'll surprise your co-workers when you start speaking their language. In fact, they'll be both impressed and flattered that you're making the attempt to learn it!
