Agreed. It's way harder to learn a language without feeling like you're speaking with/to a person. It's nice to have someone teaching casually instead of like a robot. I could buy a book and do much more than the other Swedish videos. This guy is offering just what I need.

I have just started learning basic Swedish and am moving to Uppsala later this year. Of all the beginner / basic useful Swedish videos I have watched online this series and channel is by far the best and easiest to understand. Thank y... I mean, tack så mycket! :)
Listen, and relisten and break down to sounds like little kids here in America are taught. Listen for the phonetic sounds. For instance You're welcome is varsagod, and it sounds like wash a goat. Also, Good bye sounds like Hey door:D hejda . Now the spelling/ writing no help there, but just to speak it just listen for the sounds. Both of these my Swedes approved that I am understandable with my breaking it down for things tactic. Tack means thanks it sounds like tic tack candy.

+Ina Ha There is actually a video here on RUclips where the Swedish comedian Robert Gustafsson imitates a bunch of Swedish dialects, and he is very accurate most of the time - it's called "Niklas Källner testar Robert Gustafsson på dialekter". I personally live only about 25 miles away from Mora, and he really nailed that accent - it's a classic example of a "Dalarna accent" ("Dalecarlia accent" in English).
How do you manage to pronounce the "j" and "i" in the throat? I have heard several swedes speak and somehow they pronounce certain vowels and consonants with a kind of guttural/slightly-nasal effect. Some words I've heard this particular pronounciation is with "hej", "ris", "fyra", "gillar" and some others I can't quite recall now. I really want to understand/know how to do that :D

Wow, the overtones are completely different from any language I've ever heard. To me, these vowel sounds are more difficult to produce than French.
