- This procedure is used to treat male uretgral strictures that are short and has about 60% success rate. After the procedure a catheter is put in and the patient is released home. The catheter is removed after 3 days.
Utheral strictures are scar tissue build up inside the penis the presents itself with weak urinary stream and frequency of urination. Patients with severe strictures may develop urinary retention, urinary tract infections, and even renal failure.
