This brings me back to when I was 14 and my dad would take me to Best Buy to pick out a computer game. I love steam but man did it kill the Best Buy pc game aisles.
I love those big box pc games. Back in the early 90s when i was a 24/7 gamer me and my older bro had hundreds of them between us, sadly a lot of them got sold off, I've started collecting them again what will building a retro pc like i had back in the day, yea sure you can download 1000s through torrents with doxbox packages but there is nothing like owning the real game...a physical copy and the smell of the 90s as you flick through the manuals, good days.
2:52 Holy crap, NBA Inside Drive 2000. That one has Ray Allen on the cover, yeah? I bought that during All-Star Weekend in 2000--I was a kid and the All-Star game was in my hometown of Oakland that year. In the tent that game looked like the coolest thing in the world, and it was pretty cool playing it on my eMachines desktop when I got home too. Thanks for the flashback, LGR.

WOW! I have around 1600 PC GAMES collected , but only 300+ with BigBoxes. I see a lot of rare boxes ..rly amazing collection. Maybe in my country We have not so much games like in USA , but I hope during couple years I'll collect more ;) Can you tell more about your system of sorting boxes ? The most beautiful games are those in 5"25 inc discs. Old boxes are magic and old manuals are awesome :)
Like your collection LGR. Hopefully I can find some of those games. Sometimes, after I watch your videos, I find the game I was just watching in a thrift store.
DUDE , DUUUUUDE, I just came across this channel and this was like returning to my childhood years. I used to have quite a lot of these lovely big box game, when I get some , usually one or two on christmas I used to carry them with me over everywhere and reading through manuals and what was on the game boxes and so on, because I couldnt play them yet, as I did not have a PC that could run them. I shed multiple nostalgic tears when watching this video, thank you very much. I wish I could see this Wonderful collection in person. You have no idea how incredibly lucky you are that you can have these on your shelves I also wanted to see all of the games indivdually browsed from back to front at least, would be cool
Man I'm glad to see you appreciate these older games that are long forgotten, we get them in our store from time to time and I have to put a couple bucks on them and find a spot on the shelf for them. Every once in awhile somebody comes in and picks a few up, I agree with you on the older sports games too, the Golf and Baseball ones were pretty amazing just because the amount of statistics, etc. they could keep track of even back then was pretty mind blowing. The books with them are always huge too, even on things like the Genesis.
5:48 oh my. OH MY. THANK YOU SO MUCH CLINT! I remember playing a demo of Lode Runner 2 on a compilation CD ages ago. And now, out of absolutely nowhere, I notice a box in this shot with a character that is strangely familiar, read the title, something clicks in my brain and *BAM* _finally found it!_ I'm so glad Clint, thank you from the bottom of my heart

So effing awesome! I just unboxed by old school box of boxes that I've had stored for 25years. I am SOOO glad I saved all that and so much thanks to my mom for letting me keep it in a loft! The waves and waves of nostalgia I got from just going through what I saved...indescribable. I can remember buying and specifically playing nearly each one of the games. Possibly the most elusive/valuable is Space Taxi. I got extremely lucky and found it while thrifting once in Illinois, so you might say it wasn't exactly "hard" to get in that case. Glad to see you owning Spellcraft's big box. That's my favorite game of all time, even beyond DOS titles. Your collection is massive compared to mine. And I'm ok with that, lol. Mine just fill up a bookcase that I use as a backdrop for my own videos. That must be quite the feeling to have people donate boxes to you. Well deserved. Can't wait to watch potential videos on the rest of these games here. Thanks for sharing the collection. Looks great!
Pod! I remember that we got it bundled with a 200MHz Olivetti PC in about 1997. Great fun. Got quite good at the single player eventually. I played many, many hours of that... nice to see it!
This is making me super nostalgic for all the computer games I played during my childhood and I now also realize that most of the computer games I had were edutainment games.
Commenting from 2021 here, I`ve just watched your video back from 2017 and I must say this is a very small and modest games collection comparing to this year`s one.
Thanks for sharing! I was very happy to see Sierra & MicroProse well represented. Those were the backbone of my childhood gaming. Please do a review of the MechWarrior & MechCommander games!

I recall that ours actually played backwards for some reason. No idea why.
Yes, like warm, homemade, freshly baked, chocolate chip cookies! :)
Or like the plasticky smell of the case holding the 25-ish floppy disks my version of Win95 came in.
An overflowing feeling of nostalgia, especially the flight sims, and when that Win 95 chime kicked in, I felt like I was a kid back in 1996.

Also, the moment I saw that screen saver it brought my back to grade school detention watching the computer screens for something to do so I didn't fall asleep LOL.
You have a sweet set up dude, would love to see your other DVD case game collection one day! :)
Seeing those backyard sports games really takes me back to when I played them as hand me downs from my older brothers.
Holy crap, SO! MUCH! FORGOTTEN! MEMORIES!
Jill of the Jungle, CyberMage, Bioforge, The Last Dynasty... Damn, I don't know how to feel now.
I see one of the games I sent you at 8:43. I'm glad Shadow Of The Comet has a place on your shelf!
WOW, what an amazing collection!!!
That is the coolest freaking room. Great collection.
SOO BOSS!! Keep up the awesome collection!
OMG! Assassin 2015! jajaja I still have my copy of the game, wich an uncle of mine who used to live in the US bring to México and give it to me when I was a child after notice that the game was the sole reason I keep pushing my father into visiting him every weekend hahaha, thanks for the memories, sorry for the bad english, and greetings from México, I really enjoy your videos mostly because for things like this.
So many games there that I have memories playing and so many that I thought no one remembered.
I've been waiting for a new update on the collection for a long time. Nice stuff, man. I may have a few you're missing that I'll donate.
