I got a bit of an issue. All my wanted mods are installed and enables, as well as SKSE is working for Skyrim, however when I go in game none of the kids appear. Any idea on what I should do?
Hi! I used to use vortex all the time but then I reset my PC. Now when I try to use it, it often says access is denied for certain mod files during deployment. Even when I give permission, it asks for the permission again but nothing changes.
Mod Managers in 2010; "1 2 3 done" Mod Managers in 2020; "error, error, umm install a mod? i can't just do that, you have 3 hours of tutorials to read!"
Not to mention most of the times it's only for a fucking stone texture, feels like working a final exam, modders can't even wok together for whatever reason even though it's in the same damn game. So annoying that they can't even compile a simple file to a whole full content, let's be real, they rather seek attention to their own mod rather than caring about people's convenience.

Why do you think we are all here? lmao Mods are very finicky and when I was a new modder I was absolutely lost. I never manually downloaded and I'd have mods conflict with other mods constantly but I made it work. Vortex is a Godsend imo.

Honestly you should do some mod tutorials, your videos are so well done and high quality. for instance how to install the bijin all in one mod, i cant figure it out

I dont have this issue, instead I have a more stupid issue. Vortex is having a hissy fit about mods being redundant, a file not existing and 393 files not deploying correctly. The game im trying to mod is Fallout 4. The SINGLE mod im trying to use, is that script extender mod. F4SE Script extender. Idk. I've tried reinstalling Vortex. Trying a different mod. Sacrificing a lamb. Getting a friend to look at it. Reinstalling Fallout 4. Im getting annoyed. I would just use Fallout 4s in game mods and stuff, but you know, Nexus has some pretty spicy heccing mods lol. Thanks for the help if you can. Or if anyone else can

I don’t know if Vortex is necessary pr worth it but if it was not important then I welcome the pain at this point I welcome more pain and suffering in my life
heyy, vortex is what I use! It took a little getting used to but I like that it's so user friendly and can automatically find issues and provide potential solutions. Very handy for someone who's still getting used to modding

So I have a couple of mods for Fallout 3, they are downloaded, and vortex tells me they are deployed but when I go into Fallout 3 they're not in the game

@@mgm-jt8nd figured it out. If you deploy the mods, and activate them in plugins (you can activate all of them at the same time by selecting all with alt+a) and they still don't work, it's either because your WiFi is turned off (mods get disabled when you turn WiFi off, you just have to enable them again) or because you changed your skyrim resolution

My question is: I've finished downloading and enabling all the mods for Skyrim SE, and yet none of them show up in the plugins section of Vortex, the game also says my mods are (16) active and yet its still only Vanilla Skyrim. So, what am I doing wrong and what is the fix to get them to show up in the plugins folder. Am willing to pay a fee for help if wanted.
I'm having an issue where whenever I try installing a new mod, it will get stuck on the installation, then crash. I can download it, but when installing it crashes.

For some reason my Vortex is blurry and it gives me a message about a new update, and I can't click "close" for it. Also, the icons under the blurry message are black and generic ? Can't click anything. Just enabled a pip boy theme last night though.

I don't know if you bois are still having problems but i made the dumb mistake of installing normal skyrim mods instead of ones for special edition. It made it so I couldn't launch or anything. Hope it helps if you're having trouble!
I installed vortex and installed the mod the witcher 3 enhanced edition, it works normally, but any mod besides the one I installed doesn't work, it doesn't even appear in the mods tab in the game menu. ps: sorry for my english, it's from google lol

For anyone who have mods from vortex not working when you have Either reinstalled the game or transfered it from one hard drive to another try to just go into downloads and reinstall the mod and have to replace the old mod files. Just did that & it sorted out the issue for me

hey i've got a problem with Vortex cp2077 mods it says that "Deployment failed 3 files were not correctly deployed (see log for details). The most likely reason is that files were locked by external applications so please ensure no other application has a mod file open, then repeat deployment" and i can't fix it can you help?
Anyone knows how to fix "Installation failed, archive is damaged" and "Failed to install dependency"? I tried to install a mod list for Fallout 4 and I got those 2 warnings for 2 specific mods.
Do not get started in Vortex. You will regret the time wasted by not initially starting with MO2, which has community consensus as the better MM. Vortex is a pretty layout, but clunky/slow in execution and they will not let you manually change your load orders, instead restricting these basic user controls. The devs' philosophy is that the utilities can do a better job than you at modding, which is true in only some instances and entirely goes against the philosophy of modding: The user is able to tweak things to THEIR preferences, not a developer's. The fact I now have to move 700+ mods over to MO2 to resolve several persistent issues is the reason for this entire comment. You have been warned.

I hadn't played SKSE Modded skyrim using vortex for quite awhile. I have a few different profiles already set up and set to have unique saves and game settings. I fired it up and it worked perfectly. I had fresh saves and then I come back the next day and they are gone, instead what I have to load are different saves from 2019 to 2018 and I at first was scratching my head about this but still had some fun with these old saves that somehow worked with the slightly different mods enabled. So 3 days go by, and I'm like, "Hey, this is cool and everything, but I'd like to load up some of those brand new saves to build the rogue mage elf I was trying to build. So I go looking through the files of my computer and discover that there were 3 instances of Skyrim on my computer with varying saves. And I'm like, what the hell!? Why are we still here?" The vortex profiles are there in the save folders but don't work. Vortex sees them but i guess Steam doesn't? So i check steam and Skyrim is set to have cloud save on. 😱 Why!? How!? I deactivate that and continue to search for the files it's actually loading when i run Skyrim. So I give up after not being able to load the saves I want. Until I found it in a file that is a shared owner drive between two computers. Allows me and my dad to share pictures between computers. Like Facebook stuff. So for some reason my save files are there for a bunch of games including skyrim. WHY IS THIS LIKE THIS!? SHOULDN'T THE SAVES VORTEX SEES BE THE ONE'S THAT ARE USED SINCE I'M LAUNCHING THE GAME FROM VORTEX!? That's not even the worst part. All my .bsa files are somehow still bsa files but have a text document image next to the file name now and don't end in .bsa. the .esm files are completely fine but the .bsa are somehow different now and after redownloading skyrim and skse and tes5edit and having to manually change the load order in the skyrim launch window because loot didn't change them but still sees it and changes it within loot. My skyrim won't even launch. And all I wanted to do was have the new saves and the save I was having fun on. A Breton spellsword build for anyone curious. How do I fix the .bsa files?

I moved my game out of my SSD and it broke bad, I got lost trying to fix Vortex, This helped... Thank you man

I deactivate that and continue to search for the files it's actually loading when i run Skyrim. So I give up after not being able to load the saves I want. Until I found it in a file that is a shared owner drive between two computers. Allows me and my dad to share pictures between computers. Like Facebook stuff. So for some reason my save files are there for a bunch of games including skyrim. WHY IS THIS LIKE THIS!? SHOULDN'T THE SAVES VORTEX SEES BE THE ONE'S THAT ARE USED SINCE I'M LAUNCHING THE GAME FROM VORTEX!? That's not even the worst part. All my .bsa files are somehow still bsa files but have a text document image next to the file name now and don't end in .bsa. the .esm files are completely fine but the .bsa are somehow different now and after redownloading skyrim and skse and tes5edit and having to manually change the load order in the skyrim launch window because loot didn't change them but still sees it and changes it within loot. My skyrim won't even launch. And all I wanted to do was have the new saves and the save I was having fun on. A Breton spellsword build for anyone curious. How do I fix the .bsa files?
