Since its been built we have been leaning on it hard... evey weekend its been out on track days and abused hard.
This little car on a B road or track is absolutely mind bending.
Super stable loads of grip and so much fun its crazy.

I'm 45, when I was a lad 225bhp was massive from a car. Now look. 3 cylinders doing 700bhp and 3's to 60. Madness.
I'm 32 and when i first got into cars i remember going in the backseat of a 400 bhp mk4 Supra to a car meet and turning all the heads, and being the fastest car there. Meanwhile C20XE Nova's where racing mapped Subaru GC8's and PD130's. Those were the early days of DSG and AWD was for rallying or old people. Those days were fun! It's amazing how far technology in cars has come but i just don't get that excited anymore for a M140i / RS3 / Golf R, and i find myself dreaming about how the scene was 15 years ago 🙂
thinking along those lines, im older when we thought a 200 bhp RS Turbo was good, heres a 1.6 with one less cylinder making the Escorts look like the shopping car!!!
I remember having a 106 gti then an Ep3 and both cars being considered fast at the time.
The thing is - Cris has a GR Yaris in each cylinder 😅

That air shift sequential is lethal in the right hands. If the SRD guy drove the whole thing then I think it maybe would have won the rolls as well. But on his feature the other day he stated he wasn't a good driver 😂. But you got to put some respect on them 3 cylinders that they are worthy of. Great builds and a great platform has just been paved for the Yaris GR's. Great watch as always Jamie and appreciate the content being laid for our eyes enjoyment 😂😂 much love GasGang

Cool cars I’m sure they are best on track and handle amazing but in terms of straight line times I expected faster times especially with the sequential boxes and the power to weight. Still cool tho
Yea, it doesn't make much sense. The guys in Australia only making 550whp on a stock block engine with head studs, sequential box, were running 10s two years ago... EKanoo Racing GR Yaris even has the stock transmission and goes 10.5".

I always look forward to OG on a Sunday.
My thoughts:
1. The far left lane (least hp) GRY sounded the best outside, and the far right lane (most hp) GRY sounded the best in the cabin.
2. Far right lane GRY driver needs more practice. He is the oldest driver, so reaction time might be slower due to age. He also is running the wrong tire for launches.
3. I do not like the sound or look of those sequentials. Just sound like crap and look wanky.
4. Middle lane GRY driver is the best driver in the group
5. Far right lane GRY needs to be taken off the manual 1/4 mile time leaderboard ASAP! It shifts itself! After the start, it becomes fully automatic! That is not a true manual and you know it!
At 16.39 was that fart real or edited? Either way it was hilarious 👏😂

I love these Yaris GR's... The new ones are like 50bags... Was a steel at 33ish for the mark 1's... Was thinking these man where changing gears way to early but they know there cars or what the price to fix it is more than us

Something about odd cylinder engines and or odd firing order engines that sound better than their even cylinder, even firing order counter parts. These 3cyl Yaris sound better than most 4cyl. The Audi RS3 5cyl sounds better than the standard V6 6cyl (excluding the VR6, that might be a tie) or the straight 6cyls like my M4 S58 for example. (My RS3 I had a few years back had a much better exhaust note). The V10s found in the R8 and Hurrican with their odd firing order sound like the RS3 doubled, both in depth sound, loudness, crackles, pops, bangs all just amplified 2x. The odd firing V12s, V16s and the flat plane crank V8s, V10s, V12s ect.... verses the cross plane crank 8cyls and up.
Chris definitely wins the people's award, absolute top drawer attitude 👌 the launches though.... 😂
