It's been a LONG time since I've played this game, and I don't recall ever seeing Super Macho Man fall back like he did at 0:37!!! That is hilarious!!!!
There is a time when Super Macho Man is preparing for a single Spin Punch. Before he does it, you can press UP to make him guard his upper body and then hit to the body. Depending on your speed and experience, you can do it a couple of times before he hits you. The same is possible just after he gets knocked down. Before his multiple Spin Punch combo, the same can be done but is more risky.
Very nice. I had always thought that Super Macho Man was the hardest fight in this game. Every one went on about how hard MT was, but that was just a memory and timing game because he followed the same pattern every time. This guy was fast and unpredictable.

Look at my fight again and when you try it, take your time. When he throws punches that you can counter with a body punch, you have to delay your punch. If you're too quick or too slow, he'll block or thrown another punch.

Other official versions without Macho? Well, there are 14 fights in this game and the only fight that may be different is the last one, which is Mike Tyson or Mr. Dream. The order for those 14 fights is: Glass Joe, Von Kaiser, Piston Honda, Don Flamenco, King Hippo, Great Tiger, Bald Bull, Piston Honda 2, Soda Popinski, Bald Bull 2, Don Flamenco 2, Mr. Sandman, Super Macho Man, then Mike Tyson/Mr.Dream depending on the version. Did you beat Sandman yet?
HalDanGhor Actually I was a few punches away from taking out the sandman just last night. he dumped me with a body shot though. Macho must be next. I haven't played this game in almost 25 years, I thought Tyson was right after the Sandman.

@@HalDanGhor , I managed to beat Mike Tyson/Mr. Dream, but the game literally not only trolled me, but it also simultaneously proved to be a sore loser, as it literally glitched the moment that I beat him on an actual NES, never mind that I never touched the game or did anything to cause it to glitch out...what the NES did was essentially like had an epic meltdown and it could not believe that I took out Mike Tyson/Mr. Dream in the first round.
What kind of controller are you using? By the way your amazing at this game. It’s taking me forever to beat this guy and I’ve been watching your RUclips video over and over like literally over 200 times and I still can’t beat this FN guy. Your excellent kicking this guys ass… LOL
This fight was played on a real SNES system back in the day, so it was a regular SNES controller. I used advanced strategies such as delayed punches and knowledge about when to try to land Star shots. I would suggest you to avoid getting hit and counterattacking with lots of punches. It also works and is better for somebody who never beat him. Good luck!!

This game is STILL bomb. I can beat without taking a single hit. Only time anyone would touch me is Tyson, beginning of 2nd round, the flurry of jabs (they get blocked, though). I used to beat this game, ritually, every morning before school. There is a channel where the guy shows video proving there is a major significance to whether you punch with lefts or rights, depending on the punch you dodge (whether it was L or R)- he is the best I have EVER seen on this game. Could beat me, for sure.

Can you do the same with Soda Popinski??? Watching both him and Super Macho Man hit the canvas with body shots is very satisfying. When I would play I would make that my objective💪✊😊

@@annwang5530 I was talking about the way Super Macho Man fell backwards when he lost his stamina. He did it at 0:37 and at 1:10!! I said 1:12, but I was off by about 2 seconds. This comment goes with my other comment on this video.
Hey, HalDanGhor, is there a specific strategy to putting Super Macho Man for the 10-count? I've put him down for the count on the second knockdown in the second round on a few occasions, but I never figured out how I actually did it.
Hello Deined. SURE THING, we have to put him down twice in round 1 in order to get him counted out in round 2. May be it has something to do with points too, as points help to win decisions except in title fights or against King Hippo... Means that we can win by decision against Tyson. Best way to make points or damage is to use stars, so it may help too for having Super Macho Man koed out instead of tkoed... :)

The key to putting Super Macho Man down for the 10-count is apparently for Mac to be at full health when he knocks Macho Man down for the 4th, 5th, or 6th time. Gonna have to try that out one day.

@@HalDanGhor i usually tko smm in the first round at 2:30 so like the uploader said it comes with experience. plus the delay hits that takes more damage when you know which direction to hit him compared to when u normally hit him that takes 2 hits to damage a health piece.

Of course! We can send him down by body shots. All characters in the game can be knocked down by a body punch.
