- You ever heard of Stockholm syndrome? Well, it's a psychological condition that was discovered ages ago, and one of the most prominent effects this has on a person is that they think getting a platinum trophy in any Yakuza game is fun. It's not. But it is now! For probably just one game.

I think one good part of Gaiden is how it divorced Achievements and the Completion List. Achievements were less like chores in Gaiden compared to Lost Judgment Achievements "Obtain all equipment", "Obtain 50 pickups in Hama of the Dead", and the reason I stopped myself from trying... "Achieve 100% completion of TownGo" with by extension includes bullshit objectives like "fly the drone for a full hour", "Get 2 million points in Space Harrier", and "Defeat 3 Tigers in Dice & Cube". In fact, I specifically recall see some of the completion list in Gaiden and thinking "oh god, I am not doing that for Platinum" only to learn it was optional. And that's what caught my eye the most about Gaiden's completion list: It's worse than Lost Judgment, but isn't required for a genuine major achievement!
To give an example, Lost Judgment and Gaiden both have Sonic the Fighters, and as such, have it in their completion lists... but not the same objectives. Lost Judgment merely asks you to defeat each playable character. This means you get all Sonic related completion list objectives in a single playthrough, and you don't even need to beat the Final or Bonus Bosses. Hop over to Gaiden, and there's less but more time consuming objectives. It asks you to win 20 matches total, which is two playthroughs. That's already double Lost Judgment... and that's not counting the objective that asks you to beat the mode as every character, which is 8x Lost Judgment's "beat every character".
The bullshit of TownGo Master would be worse if Gaiden's completion list was there... but it isn't. There's not even an achievement for getting Akame Network to max level 30, stopping a full 10 levels earlier. Achievements in Gaiden feel like they want you to at least give everything a shot, but focus on the core of the game. Achievements in Lost Judgment are asking me to literally 100% the entire game within a single save file except for Legend difficulty. Lost Judgment is still my favorite RGG game though, missing 13 achievements after 140 hours isn't going to change that.
The minigames and Haruka trust stuff broke me for a while on my 100% journey. Having Haruka be sad that I couldn't wipe a table in poker and get a billion yen or not getting a single completion list item because I was forced to fight the bullshit Virtua Fighter AI over and over until I either get a brain hemorrhage or win every fight broke me spiritually and mentally.
You really hit the nail on the head with Lost Judgment though, having to play as every Virtua Fighter 5 character and ESPECIALLY the Fighting Vipers shit really made my blood boil. If you are gonna make me play your old, coin hungry arcade games that have shit AI then at least make the completion of it not terrible.
Getting 2 million in space harrier isn’t bullshit, it’s literally asking you to just have a modicum of skill in a mini game. Honestly it’s pathetic how wimpy y’all are. “Nooooo, this game i paid money for wants me to actually take time to play it and invest myself in it! I just want to do the bare minimum and get a bright shiny trophy for doing nothing to make me feel happy”
great video!
that new persona 3 music at the end
it goes hard.
After platinuming 14 RGG titles, I can honestly say I would’ve preferred a 100% completion trophy. IMO it makes the journey so much more gratifying! However, I do acknowledge that it’s a huge undertaking. So I also wouldn’t mind them streamlining them to be more easier and smoother experience.
Tbh I do like how LAD does the Amon fight, just tying it behind another final tower which is much harder so it feels more like a natural progression than something like Judgment or LJ
Lol. Is My Name is Mayo your favorite platinum or something?
So far the only platinum I have for the series is from Like a Dragon. Took me around 70 hours according to the in-game counter. Thankfully it lacked all the stupid minigame completionist stuff from the log. No, I am not learning Mahjong well enough to win consistently in it just to get 100 % in Yakuza.
The only Yakuza game I got platinum in is Yakuza 6. Because no Arcade or Japanese mini games are required to get it. Was relatively easy
Like a dragon had the best platinum trophy.
And no i dont care about 100% achievements that much
feels like baby mode shit compared to past games, at least it's doable with not a ton of effort for once.
Now plat kiwmai 1 it's got terrible fighting system it will be extremely hard
2 hours later and I now have my first ever Platnium Trophey.
honestly it made me kinda sad how easy gaiden was i love every minigame (not those gamble shi is ass)
What if you wanted to take the platinum trophy, but God said: Complete a 1-Shot Challenge on normal difficulty.
The RNG on the last shot makes my toenails curl backwards
Yep, worst trophy by far. Had to re-do it multiples times. The last shot is 100%, factually RNG-based. I tried the exact same shot five times and got five different results from it.
Did it without trying while doing Akame's mission
At least it's not the awful yakuza 3 remastered pool. That shit made me furious
Still Beter than the 100% completion thropies or the true final milenium tower one
Fun fact, you don’t have to even play a match of poker, koi-koi, or even the arcade games
Just hit start, exit the minigame and it still counts as you playing it
Gaiden was my third Yakuza Platinum/all achievements, after 6 and Like a Dragon. The common point between them being no requirement to clear the completion list, which removes A LOT of the tedium and grind! I definitely hope games keep that direction in the future too.
Heads up, 3 and 4 don't require the completion list to be filled out either so if you like that approach you might be down for those, too.
@@MidnightLobster7 3 is kinda insane though
Yakuza kiwami 2 and the judgement series completion isnt too bad. Y0 and y5 is the annoying ones
@The_Princess_of_Kabukicho I found golf to he challenging but not that bad, Baseball on the other hand... that kept me away from the Minigame Master Trophy for a long time and caused worse struggle for me than anything in any of the games for completion.
@@The_Princess_of_KabukichoI found golf to be not so hard once you understood the gist of it like fishing, pool however is single-handedly the only thing keeping me away from the platinum, and I'm not sure if I'll even get it at this point because of how frustrating it is
As someone who has done 100% for all yakuza games, i can confirm i'm insane.
can back this statement
I can also back this statement 🥲
Now do it ALL over again through the Japanese version RyuGaGotoku
I platinumed Yakuza 0-4 and both Judgements and right now sit on 5th. When I first started this tradition at 0, I loved the game even when it drives me crazy with catfights and material shop in sotenbori. Because thanks to 100% I was pushed to try all the stuff game gives you - if I didn’t go for completion list, I’d skip lot of fun things. And usually after I get the platinum it just fills me with confidence and happiness, don’t know how to explain that further. Although I still don’t know why I did platinum in first borderlands - 8 hour arena grind solo is too much for anyone.
Maybe a hot take/unpopular opinion, but I love doing the Completion List for platinum. It makes the Yakuza games stand out to me, and without that requirement the platinums are far too easy.
Strong agree. These dudes have no sense of accomplishment
Same. I'm actually waiting for Gaiden to go deep sale because it's so short compared to the others for the platinum. "Having to" spend 100 hours playing is part of the appeal, so being able to finish the lot in 25 is not a selling point for me.
Might be just me but Yakuza Like a Dragon and Like a Dragon Gaiden were two of the easier games in the series to plat. Not as much bs.
Final millennium tower?
@@johnnyvincent69 cleaned it 👍
@@johnnyvincent69 TFMT is really easy it just takes quite a bit of grinding to get to that point, it's really not that bad though i've done it on the xbox version, as well as both playstation versions of the game
They really were the easiest to plat, I'd grind for Final Millennium Tower all over again over doing all the mahjong in Lost Judgment or doing any of the shit in Yakuza 5
That's because they are on the simpler side to do along with 6
I think you equate easy with good going by the title. I haven't watched the video yet but I thought this games plat was WAY too easy. It tied all the side content together nicely and I like that you can finish the story and get the platinum together on a first playthrough, but there was no major challenge in this one and I played it on Profession as well. Other than the One-Shot Challenge on Normal, which I don't think is required, nothings that bad this time around
There’s a trophy for the one shot challenge so def required. Was the most annoying trophy but not even that bad.
There was no achievement for eating at all the restaurants in this one (very sad, I always like getting that one), but I was relieved to see that the 100% was straightforward for once. This was also my first 100% for a Yakuza game, though I’m closing in on Lost Judgment as well.
While I do enjoy that they made the 100% for Gaiden a lot less tedious, I do think they may have pulled it down just a bit too far, and surely there could be some sort of middling ground between 'grind these side games until your head hurts' and 'open a minigame for half a second and closing it immediately'.
I feel like you just don't like the side content in these games lol.
More like on how it is executed. He enjoys them, but only in small doses. Problem is that most games' platinums involve going deep into the minigames, which would be bad if you can only enjoy them for a while, and worse if you hate them. At least Gaiden just makes you play them just once at most, and it is up to you if you wanna continue.
Maybe he doesn’t but I spent 200 hours in yakuza 0 and 100% the completion list but I still can’t get the platinum because the climax battles are too hard for me. I love the side content and it doesn’t change that those platinums are notoriously frustrating.
Dear RGG
please do not tie an achievement to a completely luck based minigame (Mahjong, the catfighting etc). It is not a mark of skill, it is a test of patience and getting your patience tested is not fun gameplay.
Yours Truly, FUCKING EVERYONE
As a person who is part of "everyone," you don't speak for me. I love playing mahjong. I'm perfectly fine with "having to" play it for the platinum. In fact if removing all of the completion requirements becomes standard in Yakuza games, I will stop playing them. Why don't you just play games you enjoy, instead of trying to make games you don't enjoy into something else just so that you can say you got a trophy?
I do really hope this isn't the standard moving forward. Yakuza platinums are very satisfying to get (i have all of them) but Gaiden felt like a spit in the face to those who do enjoy going for the platinum trophies in the rest of the series, which are who they should be tailored to. In an already bite size entry, they really should've given completionists something more substantial.
I'm playing 6 at the moment and it's way too easy. Knowing Gaiden is even shorter is upsetting.
What if i enjoy side activities in Yakuza? I 100%ed yakuzas from 0 to 4 so far and it was satisfying for the most part lol
The only thing i hated in gaidens 100% was pool, fuck normal pool puzzle. Should play Mahjong tho
7:36 ...Yes you can ? I did my Legend playthrough with New Game +
Back in the day, we had to complete perfect minigames just to appease Haruka... even the minigames that are RNG heavy gambling
So what I'm getting from this is that you like extremely easy platinums that require no effort behind them whatsoever. Which is fair since I'm the same way. Gaiden was my first ever yakuza platinum because it was just so simple. I haven't finished infinite wealth yet, and I haven't looked at the trophy list, but hopefully it's just as simple.
the interesting thing about Persona 5 royal
Is that they pretty much made the achievements in the game disgustingly easy compared to the original
THE amount of nonsense you have to do in the first game is AGONIZING
One of the ones I LOATHED getting was the passionate listener trophy. Trying to find out what lines you heard from Futaba was just.......well it WAS NOT FUN O_O
They removed a lot of those type of achievements from Royal in large part because we already did this once before.
NO need to torture us again
Maybe an unpopular opinion, but i really liked Gaiden's game size. I mean, as an adult, i don't have that much time to play a game. A game that finishes under 20 hours is a good ride for me.
Not only that, but story was a lot more direct. Sometimes i feel the story on Yakuza games take waaaaaaaaaaay too much turnarounds. One or 2 is great, but there are games that the bad guy is good, then bad, then good again, and then holy crap he's the final boss.
And the Platinum was also such a good challenge for me. I didn't feel overwhelmed at all in the whole experience. Yakuza 0 in the other hand i specifically remember being stuck for 2 weeks trying to finish the last 3 trophies....
TLDR: I hope RGG start delivering these shorter experiences again. Maybe with other characters that didn't receive much love in recent years. Maybe keep the 'Gaiden' name since it's literally 'side story' in English and deliver us some good stories that didn't get too much explained in the mainline games.
Games shouldn't be made shorter because "adults" don't have much time to play games. We should accept that they're long and decide if we want to play them. Plenty of us have the time and enjoy spending it.
This was also my first RGG platinum, for pretty much all the reasons you described. I've K2, 6 and Y:LAD at around 85% and honestly not having some weird difficulty spike for one last trophy made me much more interested in playing everything I needed to plat in Gaiden.
Honestly, I'm not a fan of how so many people are praising Gaiden's platinum for being attainable by everyone and not requiring you to complete everything. The whole thing about platinums was to be there for completionists essentially. There's no benefit to having or not having a platinum on any platform really, and the fact that the last few yakuza games have just nuked any rewards for actually interacting with the completion list, aswell as nuked the actual requirements for completion list things really hasn't helped matters.
For me personally, if it hadn't been for the platinum and the completion list, I would never have learned how to play mahjong, shogi, koi koi, oichu kabu and so on. I would have just ignored them entirely. Having them be required was the only reason I touched them, and I've gone on to love playing several of them, to the point that the moment I see them in a new title, the rest of the game ceases to exist because its now just mahjong time. This effect isn't going to happen as much if they continue to insist on things like Akame Network / Part Time Hero, and how there's no benefit to filling them out.
I literally just got the platinum
The hard trophies are two :
1. Pocket circuit
Just search a guide for what parts to use on every race
2. Finish 1 shot on normal
Just search them on RUclips and try to Mimic the moves in the video
10:49 i miss that dude. The baseball player. His character and story was very heart warming. Him and akiyama had most of the funny scenes in Y5
So far the only games I have 100% ed is Like a Dragon, and Yakuza Giaden, and I felt so much more satisfied finishing Like a Dragon, mainly because the final acheivement I did was the hardest series of fights in the game.
I got the cat achievment my first playthrough of judgment! didn't even know it was an achievment, as soon as I heard the meowing I went into full search mode lol, it was one of the best parts of the game.
Yakuza: Like a Dragon was the first and currently only RGG game I've obtained all the achievements in. While I originally had no intention of 100% completion, I felt motivated to pursue it after realising that I only had 6 achievements left to unlock after beating the game. That being said, I really hope LAD8 doesn't have a mind numbingly boring grind just to even beat the first room in the dungeon.
The most fun I've had in obtaining all the achievements in a game (and imo should be the gold standard for achievements) is Risk of Rain 2. While some are normally unlocked as you learn the game, most of the achievements generally revolve around specific challenges and discovering secrets within the levels, and completing them will either unlock a new character, or a new item that could allow for new creative builds. Both these rewards help keep the gameplay fresh while giving the player an incentive to unlock the achievements.
Also, after spending 3 hours learning mahjong just so I could fight Shin Amon, I actually like the game now and no longer relate to the people who complain about it (I still suck ass at it though).
Risk of Rain 2 mentioned 🗣️🗣️🗣️🔥🔥🔥 *synth guitar riffs*

Warning you now about LAD8, has one trophy that is VERY VERY VERY grindy. Grindy to the point where RGG is expecting you to shill out for the dlc dungeon to even achieve it in a sane amount of time. It is possible to grind without paying but it will take a loooooooooong time.

Laughs in Judgment: puyo puyo mean bean machine challenge.
Honestly I agree with the Amon part; Amon has always been either boring or extremely fucking annoying. I'm still pissed about restarting 20 thousand times in Judgment just so I could try to stop my phone from getting stolen. I think the only time I had an alright time with an Amon fight was Kiwami 1, for me it was just "How well can you Tiger Drop" since from what I remember he doesn't do his stupid healing or reduced damage shit. EIther way, I'm insane and 100%'ed every Yakuza/LaD game :)))))
Its a shame completionism in these games isn't for you. Personally, the vast wealth of stuff in these games is the appeal for me. I love all of it, and in my eyes the best way to experience these games is to get immersed in everything they have to offer. For me, RGG doesn't have one single main gameplay style, and the combat is one of the many side dishes the game has to offer, just one required to see the story to its end. I personally can't fathom liking the games as much as you do without enjoying every piece of content in them, but you do you.
That being said, I'm usually someone who tries to finish the completion log as that appeals to me. I could understand Platinum trophies being more accessible like they are with Gaiden if the completion log still fits my needs.
The real issue with 100% all the RGG games are:
1) Getting over your fear of Mahjong. (Love the Mahjong. Embrace the Mahjong. )
2) Actually having to learn enough Shogi to be decent enough to beat the lowest level AI shogi player RGG studios has made.
3) Having a LOT of patience to earn the amounts needed in the gambling games for the games that don't have gambling cheat items.
4) Figuring out how the physics/controls broke depending on the framerate for Pool in whatever version of the Remasters you have.
5) Drink however much caffiene is needed to see the frames individually to beat the small number of mini-games that require insane reflexes on their highest difficulties (like Buyo in Ishin, the Boxcelios Schmups, or the Disco in Zero).
6) Learn to be good at Virtua Fighter 2.
You explain all why Yakuza series has 23 entries and I ONLY HAVE 1 PLATINUM (YAKUZA 6)
I've been replaying the series lately and I've mostly been focusing on the main stories, and side content when I feel like it. The only platinum ive got so far is like a dragon but I havent played gaiden yet so possibly that'll be the next one, again only if I feel like it, which I probably won't. The only reason I platted 7 (almost twice now cause I frickin love the side content in 7 specifically) is because I just like grinding so it was (mostly) fun. Fuck part time hero though. Maybe when 8 comes out I'll plat it since I'll be grinding my balls off in that game too. It depends on the achievements you have to get for it. Throughout the years I've only got a few plat trophies anyway because it really depends on the game.
I dunno if this is Stockholm or whatever but I actually really like the plats in 0,1, judgment etc. only ones I didn’t like were 4 cause of the numerous files, 5 cause it overstayed it’s welcome a little, and 3 because of the minigame that shall not be named
Gaiden was indeed the easiest to plat and yet I still went 100% of the completion list making roughly 135 hours which the closest other Yakuza game was yakuza 6.
Why would you do that to yourself lol
we can weaponize this autism
@@SnowiestAngeman when you have completed all the RGG games 100% completion on steam, having Gaiden not 100% would stick out like a sore thumb. I know when IW will come out and even the devs said that it won't be good for my health I went "challenge accepted" and in case you want to know my steam time from most to least amount of hours here it is :
Ishin : 308.1 hours (I did it before they put the patch that gave easier drop)
LAD : 286.9 hours
Lost Judgment : 274 hours
Yakuza 5 : 266.1 hours
Yakuza 0 : 223.4 hours
Judgement : 218.5 hours
Yakuza 3 : 187 hours
Yakuza 4 : 170.7 hours
Gaiden : 138.4 hours
Yakuza 6 : 136.9 hours
Kiwami 2 : 116.1 hours
Kiwami 1 : 103.1 hours
Which in total I spent 2429.2 hours in total for the RGG games help me.
What the hell have you beeinf doing in 7 to come out with 286hours? Nowhere near you need that much hours
I got the Plat in both 7 and 0 and both have way less then 150 hours
@@xStanyyx True Millennium tower, I went the extra step to grind all jobs to max lvl also just being generally unlucky in the gambling mini games
You take the grind in the castle and the pocket circuit trophy where you have to win like 7 races away and I would say its a pretty easy plat.( also 100 % completion is a whole other beast enterly 😈)
I did K2, 4,5,6, Gaiden, Ishin Kiwami and Both Judgements platinum. And honestly I dont regret doing them they can become mind numbing ( running Ishin dungeons, slow ass saejima hunting, mahjong, Judgement Mario Party) but overall they enhanced my enjoyment of these games
I've foundered on specific Completion List requirements on some Yakuza-games - either because there was some minigame I just could NOT get into, or because the grind wore me down - but in most cases, I've got every trophy *except* the 'Complete the Game on Legendary Difficulty' one. By the time I finished 100%ing everything, finishing the Completion List and all that, I'm *sick* of the game, and absolutely do not want to start a new playthrough! So I step away, going "Well, I can just jump back in when I feel like it... oh, what's this? A *new* Yakuza-game I haven't played yet? Don't mind if I do!"
Aquire all main game trophies as DLC can add trophies which doesn't impact the ability to get a Trophy.
Xbox don't have anything outside 100% which can be harder than platinum.
Hard disagree, a platinum should at least be satisfying once you complete it. I didn't really get that feeling with Gaiden.
When I think of a platinum I imagine its completing everything in that game. Yakuza 7 (LAD) is a good balance of that.
i've 100% 0-7, and i hated every second of it. the bloat is insane. it was particularly bad on 0 and 5, on 0 i didn't know mahjong so i was just stumbling in the dark for 10 hours not knowing what i was doing and on 5 i was playing on legend and stuck on the colliseum with akiyama and shinada. i would honest to god rather kill myself the 100% these games again
ahm, someone forgot LAD 7.
TBH 6 was a fairly reasonable platinum, "only" requiring 75% of the completion list and the legend trophy only requiring beating the final boss on the difficulty.
To me the worst offender was LAD. Everything is pretty easy... if it wasnt for the stupid final millennium tower dungeon trophy. Why should I grind for hours and hours beating bums in the sewers to barely survive a bonus dungeon THAT IS NOT EVEN PRESENT IN THE JAPANESE VERSION?
I like Koi Koi. The funny thing is, I get so hooked on it, I started to memorize what cards each deck had, they’re not random. In fact, the AI will ALWAYS get the same suit of cards if you pick certain cards.
I think yakuza 6 was perfectly good. It was very easy compared to the rest of the series. No 100% completion list BS.
I think gaiden was a little too easy, i feel like you should complete everything a game has to offer before you get the platinum, just not the extent of a yakuza completion list. But I feel like I still had things left to do after I got the gaiden platinum
Gaiden is my third yakuza/like a dragon plat with infinite wealth looking like my 4th. First was kiwami 2, 2nd was 6. I dont remember either being too too bad but its been awhile. I remember kiwami 2 being tedious though. Gaiden was by far the easiest though.
I gave up on Y5 at 97%. Coliseum grind is just disgusting. Dogshit RNG darts and pool are just icing on the bs cake (btw, food is like 60% of the entire completion list). Still, I'm satisfied enough. On the other hand Y6 was an easy 100%, you can even "cheat" legend run by reloading an autosave before the final fight and changing difficulty to legend.
They pussified the yakuza plats
I wanna play Gaiden so bad but waiting for it to become free on PlayStation. I have an Xbox Series X and GamesPass, but I don't like using my Xbox or PC cause Microsoft is too stubborn to add platinum trophies. 🙄 I don't even wanna play on PS5. I exclusively choose PlayStation over Xbox because of the platinums. (Yeah I might be on the spectrum a little bit) but I am telling you, achievements just don't hit the same as trophies
I have to agree wholeheartedly with the Amon point - only 2 times I can say I don't agree is (spoiler technically)
The robot Amon fight in Gaiden and lost judgment - Gaiden one was just a normal coliseum team fight but with robots and lost judgment felt like I was actually playing the game and not going into the menu 20 times a minute to heal.
With plots already as long as they are, and how 75% of side content is recycled (be honest guys), it just wears down what should be an enjoyable game, to a tedious list that isn't worth it by the end.
I TRIED with zero when it was only Yakuza 0 on Steam, but after realizing the arcade games and mahjong would bore my brain in, I decided against completing any of them (including Gaiden, as by then, I wasn't going to change course).
I love these games, but good god, to complete them is an absolute nightmare.
While making the platinum more accessible in terms of time dedication and grid is always a good thing, I wouldn’t necessarily call this the best platinum trophy.
I have got the platinum for Yakuza 0 and on my way for Yakuza 1 (Kiwami), and for all the work putting into both, it’s something I feel proud of doing, not just having it as a thing I did.
I have platinums for 0, kiwami, kiwami 2, 7 and Gaiden, currently working on platinuming 3, and honest I'd say Gaiden means the least because it was the easiesy to get. Honestly think you're conflating "good" with "easy". For me, the harder platinums are the ones thata i feel most pride for.
I wouldn't be offended if they kept the platinum viability to something of this level, because they still have all the in-game achievements in every game. It'd be pretty easy to make the platinum easier to get, but still give some type of reward for players that went to the trouble of 100% the game. I'm one of the psychos that actually enjoys 100% every LAD game, so I'm probably going to do it regardless, but it would be nice to not have to grind for specific trophies like the seals in Ishin. That was actual hell. Even the 100% list in Gaiden doesn't require you to do/collect everything, so there's still wiggle room in that aspect which was really nice.
I did 5 platinum but it made me start disliking the game. The appeal of Yakuza games are their variety. You can choose what you want to do between story missions. Being forced to do it all and master mini-games like Mahjong was a chore and I did not really feel any accomplishment 100%ing the game. 6 and Kiwami 2 looked doable but after I completed the stories and most of the substories I just felt like I got what I wanted out of the games. Cool to know Gaiden is more straight forward.
I want to sigh relief that completion of Pocket Circuit is unnecessary, and vent how stupid the last tournament is.
The short of it is : There's no way the AI doesn't cheat, an impossible balance of acceleration and top speed with maxed cornering, stability and downforce.
For some reason you go just a smidge too fast ? The ramp has a 50/50 chance of killing your run.
Me figuring out you're young af or ive gotten old af cuz you didn't know achievements came before trophies. Xbox 360 introduced trophies
Mahjong ain't that hard, but 50 games is fucking ridiculous. All I really did to win Mahjong was just build one of the several hands and spammed square until the prompt came up randomly.
no. I think platinums have became too easy, make them an actual accomplishment instead of some silly ass participation award. Trophy hunters will specifically buy games to platinum them as fast as they can (skipping cutscenes/dialogue), anything to filter them would be great
You forget Yakuza 6 was such an easy platinum. You didn’t need close to 100% of the completion list unlike the previous game and legend difficulty unlocked after the ending and you could just change difficulty and beat the game again and get the legend trophy right away.
Minigames are The ones that trip me up in Yakuza games.. And The Cat thing in judgement IS annoying.and The management mini game in Yakuza like a dragon Even though stuff in Y0 wasnt as difficult
Only sort of completion i do in these games is whatever is needed to fight amon. After that, everything else acts as a bonus whenever I'm bored. Usually, getting to amon means you've seen the majority of the content the game has to a reasonable extent and got all the major rewards.
Ok seriously now - When are you gonna do videos on the KH games? Seems like you have a lot to say about these and it may be actually something interesting instead of the bullshit other hardcore fanboy channels contain. Especially since you're critisizing as much a you give praise to things.
u got soft hands brother, ive beat every game 100%. except gaiden. Glad to hear its easy tho
gaidens plat was far too easy and am worried for infinite wealths plat
Gaiden's platinum felt like I lost all purpose to play the game rather than any sense of achievement
Participation trophies for people who want to be able to say they platinumed a Yakuza game
Yakuza 6 was an easy platinum compared to the other Yakuz gams too. I look at the other Yakuza Platinums and am terrified. It felt good getting the Yakuza 6 Plat lol
I tried to 100% Yakuza kiwami 1 but i gave up because of how rigged the gambling is
I am already 80% out of 100% completed
And gaiden had the easiest Amon fight ngl
Playstation copy the achievements of xbox all know what Is a platinum dude
Spent like 2 months straight this year replaying Y3-5 on both PS3 and PS4 just to have the playing of both versions. Yes I’m insane, yes I also finished Gaiden’s completion regardless of necessity.
Yakuza Like A Dragon's Legend difficulty literally does start every enemy at level 60 like you asked, it's just in terms of stats and not the actual number of their level lol
beating the strongest weapon to get the strongest item/weapon/armor. What's the point.
Always hated that xD
The sync of the kick with the trumpet in Changing Seasons was great(and the other one with Changing Seasons Reload). I always love the care and attention you give to the music in these games, and especially in your videos. It goes a long way to adding a degree of depth and attention to detail. Good stuff.
Yakuza 6 was a godsend, since you only have to do 100 different things. Being able to choose what you want was nice, I'd probably die if I had to do advanced PuyoPuyo.
The mgsv plat is so shit 😢and mgs4 plat is still somehow worse, never gonna even attempt that
7:40 I don't think this is accurate? You definitely can in the remaster at least.
I feel like my decision to platinum Yakuza 0 was a mistake. lol
Got platinums in 0, 1 and 6 and don't regret a single minute of it. It was a very fun experience
Even Mahjong?
@@cyniam8231Mahjong is actually really fun, once you understand it.
Good for you
@@frate2727 it's fun even when you just barely understand the most basic aspects of it, ie make sets of 3 and a pair
I remember having to play 15 hours worth of pure Koi Koi just to get the hang of how it works, and then 5 more hours trying to win in Yakuza 5, or the absurd AI in pool. Yakuza 5 genuinely sucked all energy out of me trying to 100% it. Compared to THAT, Gaiden's platinum is a gift from God himself.
Yeah I felt that was silly when you defeat the hardest optional boss and get some really good item that you have no one stronger to use it on
It's meant for NG+
I liked this guy better when he didn't voice the videos and used text
Infinite wealths platinum is also prty good 👍
My favorite platinum was Ghost of Tsushima
