i dont know why this is so hard for you to grasp ...i'll try to help ...
Step 1 : Remove your personal opinion from the position of everyones opinion
Step 2 : Realize that the wider croud dictates the flow not your personal opinion
Step 3 : realize your own personal view is 1 vs millions
      The Answer:
      - people dont want to play someone elses politics in game form = presense of politics in the game will repulse those ppl
-people see force diversity as a flat out insult by casting a race or gender as feebel requiring a hand out to survive or prosper
-people want quality if the game is ment to be factual then do so if not then say so but dont repackage a lie and sell it as truth
      - people do not want nor trust paying for a game to then have it not only editable at any time gut also that it is not owned on top of not being finished.
these are the main reasons but there are more you should have been able to see it all at a glance
Note : NOTHING is too big to fail it only takes time before the players leave losing trust... name recodnission only works once

The overwhelmingly major reason some people prefer single player games is specifically because they are not constantly bugging you for your attention. You are not harassed with constant pop ups trying to twist your arm into getting battle passes, season passes, or showcasing new skins, crossovers, or MTX sales. I prefer single player games because they are games, not virtual storefronts bombarding you with advertisements.

The executives who run these companies don't create anything and they're counting on your loyalty to their brand when they cut costs and fire the hard working people who DO create the high-quality things we love. They're hoping no one will notice when they bring in a new team to stand on the shoulders of those who came before and pump out a passionless product for the masses to consume.

All of the problems Ubisoft is having stems from the woke mind virus, a strange perspective on the world, which China perpetuated heavily through tiktok in the west, for some reason...
If you haven't noticed, wokeness has infected all of western pop culture, politics, and news and entertainment media. Which have all begun to collapse.

As well as the confusion between China and Japan, AC Shadows is a game that represents a distorted, strange, and impossible Japan overall.
For example, if Japanese experts really existed, they would not tolerate such an insane and outrageous act as designing a chrysanthemum crest on Nobunaga's castle. Treating the chrysanthemum crest lightly like that is equivalent to stamping the national flag with your shoes and burning it.
Ubisoft disdains copyrights of other countries, disdains culture, tradition, and history, and disdains the Japanese, but ironically, they are so fundamentally uninterested in Japan that they don't understand or even try to understand what is insulting to us Japanese.

Red flags in Assassins Creed Shadows:
    1. Using an historical person as a main character.
    2. Using a main character not from the culture and region.
    3. Use of Chinese building structure in Feudal Japan.
    4. Ubisoft stealing a flag from an army recreational group.
    5. Hip hop music playing when Yasuke fights.
    6. Ubisoft working with Sweet Baby Inc AGAIN.
    7. Yasuke not acting like a Samurai in battle.
    8. Yasuke being treated as a God when everyone is just bowing to him.
    9. Ubisoft being involved with the edits around Yasuke on Wikipedia.
    10. Ubisoft using Chinese Mandarin in the Kanji in a game set in Feudal Japan.
    11. The pushing of LGBT stuff into the game (which also makes no sense in the realm of the animus).
    12. Ubisoft working with a writer whose main "prominent" work is about monks being in relationships with young boys.
    13. Ubisoft stealing the katana of Zoro from One Piece for Yasuke.
    14. Not wiping blood off the katana before sheathing it.
    15. Ubisoft got the seasons wrong.
    16. Samurai wouldn't be walking around with their armor on at all times.
Also the double standards media has to glorify Yasuke killing a bunch of Japanese people yet these same people attacked the likes of RE5. The double standards also continue with the people praising this game, a game that doesn't pay 100% correct tribute to Japan, were the ones attacking Ghost Of Tsushima, which did try to be as accurate as possible, simply because it was made an entirely European team.
Those devs did their research. Ubisoft did not.

    • @Blueslyfox
      @Blueslyfox 5 дней назад +12

I’m only going to tackle few of these points that I even consider valid.
      1. So little is known about Yasuke and his disappearance that he makes a perfect character for an assassin and he’s super malleable due to not knowing much about him in real life’s
      2. That’s fine, you don’t play as a native of the Caribbean when playing black flag, nor when you play Ezio when he’s Turkey and surprise he’s not Turkish or from there.
      7. What is acting like a Samurai because there’s plenty of brutal shit samurai didnt have. Shouldn’t Yasuke not fighting like a samurai be accurate too? He’s not been one very long and it’s a video game so they’re going to make the violence flashy and shocking.
      8. Bowing does not equal treating someone as a god, relax.
      9. just like how everyone else also ran to discredit Yasuke with equally false statements? Like saying he was Nobunaga’s slave, when there is no evidence of that.
      11. How is it pushing LGBT stuff in the game? Gay people existed during those times, and theyre just giving you the option to pursue a gay romance if you wanted. You don’t have to do it at all. Also what doesn’t make sense in the realm of the animus? You fucked women as Ezio in the animus
      14. this is a nitpick and you’ve made several other nitpicks. Did you also care that the bushido code Jin uses in ghost of Tsushima didn’t even exist during his time period?
      16. it’s a video game and samurai in all video games walk everywhere with their armor so it doesn’t matter that Yasuke does in this video game. Ezio also dressed as pointy hood white and red assassin everywhere he went which probably made things a lot harder.
Then your last paragraph Yasuke is killing Templars. Chris Redfield was killing infected. Also the backlash to Yasuke killing Japanese Templars is 1000% worse than resident evil 5 backlash. Every re5 video you go on nobody is talking about race or Chris killing Africans. Yet every video on this someone is just ignorantly saying hur dur Yasuke killing Japanese when it’s way more complex than that. Ezio was killing Turkish people. Tf?

I don't mind that Yasuke is in the game - I question why they made him a protagonist when historical figures tend no to be in main line AC games.
What I do mind is that Ubisoft for some reason thought they needed to deliver on the "Samurai Power Fantasy" in a game about stealth and ... assassinations. In a game set in a nation which are famous for two type of warriors... the Samurai and the Ninja... which is the reason players have wanted an AC game in Japan for a long time.
I dropped AC after Origin - since the writing was horribad and the gameplay was no longer about stealthing. If I want to play looter RPGs I have better options.
I definitively didn't get back into the series when they set a game in my cultural region in Valhalla. Here they seemed to want to make "Vikings the TV show the game" - instead of exploring Norse mythology and the history of Scandinavia.
I mean, Norse mythology has the Valkyria - the "chooser of the slain" who decides who goes to Valhalla. Ubisoft has wanted female protagonists for so long it seem, and here you have the perfect historical myth to spinn on.
Oh, and why set the story to England? Why not for instance set it to the Christening of Norway? Which was a brutal affair. Olav the Holy would have been an amazing Templar.
Long story short: Ubisoft have lost the spark that made AC interesting, and instead want to make bland "set piece" power fantasies.

The game is pretty well optimized with very minimal bugs, no extra dlc you need to buy, all cosmetics are free in game to earn/unlock, and no grindy progression where you feel pressured to "pay to progress". That in addition to it objectively being a better game thats also more respectful to its "source material".

Years of begging for a new Splinter Cell game and they stick Sam Fisher in that mobile game that only lasted 3 months on the market. People have been begging for a Japan-based Assassin's Creed since the 360 era and they choose to insult an entire nation's history to virtue signal an audience that never played their games in the first place. The Lost Crown is an absolute banger tho, I'll give you that.

I think it shows how far Assassin's Creed has fallen that a series that started with the mission statement of 'showcasing historical periods that don't feature a lot in video games', managed to pick the most overexposed five-year period in 2500 years of Japanese history, and one of the most overexposed periods in gaming as a whole. Either they couldn't be bothered to do any research, or they had no confidence in their ability to sell anything else.
...and even if Ghost of Tsushima didn't exist, Sekiro exists, and Nioh exists, so if the only thing they had going for them was 'high fidelity AAAA ninja game', three different companies have already beaten them to the punch.

Ok... I'm tired already even in this 1 comment section... imma give up after this...
This game is for me. I love samurai stuff, games etc.
Nioh doesn't count. Sekiro doesn't count. Those are fantasy games, in a 'high fantasy' sense. Many inhuman enemies. And also 'soulslike' of course.
Do you understand the pretty overt differences there?
I am literally not interested in having those experiences AT ALL.
For me, what I want out of a samurai/ ninja game.
There is ONLY the 'way of the samurai' series, which sucked. (but that I did very much enjoy since the PS2 era BECAUSE THERE WAS NOTHING ELSE)...
.... Now we have Rise of the Ronin... which I own... but it doesn't count, it sucks by modern standards... the animations are terrible... graphics are terrible... the era is too late... it just sucks real bad.
And we have GoT of course which is awesome and the ONLY. THE ONE. Good samurai/ ninja game.
So please.... tell me, what are these games that I desperately want to play, but that I don't know exist? 'Overexposed' you said... how? What games?
Tell me? Please? What games did I miss? Where are my good looking samurai fantasy games?
Tenchu? Yes, I did enjoy the tenchu games on the PS2, 360 etc... but... they weren't even that great.
.... the beginning, the 1st level of Ninja Gaiden? Yes... I played that over and over... after I finished the game, I just kept playing that 1 level AS IT WAS THE ONLY game that could offer that experience... for 1 level...
Please. Teach me o wise gamer of infinite knowledge! What are the games I do not know about?!
PLEASE FOR THE LOVE OF GOD?!!?!
(You get the point... I will be legitimately mind blown and grateful if you have some amazing game to teach me about that I did not know about that could provide me with the experience GoT does... I know them all. Nioh and Sekiro absolutely do not count. Those are not the experiences I am looking for)

Yes I've been gaming since the commodore 64.. I'm old, I own everything and can play whatever game I want... I've been a gaming nerd long enough to have earned a couple of decent samurai action games I would've thought!
How was there no more bushido blade after ps1!?
.... and of course as you point out... onimusha is more of a resident evil deal... absolutely nothing like what I'm after... I have no interest in that series either.
Rise of the ronin just had terrible visuals and animations... and in this day and age, I need those elements to be on point. Sure, the combat was fine. I just find it hard to appreciate a game on a 'next gen' console that looks 2 generations behind. It's an insult to my wallet.

@@Quasiguambo I'm a weeb too hence why I prefer nioh 2 to me it's absolute king of action games and nothing comes close with player input and character response. Once you get to Dotd it's a whole new game and your skills really start coming together and you feel like a bad ass destroying some of these enemies with style.
With stellar blade, the combat was just soooo good. The dance between using your combos offensively and quickly tapping parry to cancel into going on the defensive was done so well that if it had a better story and was about 10 or 20 hours longer or just had 2 more chapters it would be up close to rebirth and wukong for my goty.

Im playing that until the 24th when the expansion for Warhammer 40k rogue trader comes out so I can play as the new archetype.
It was obviously going to get overshadowed by bg3 last year but tbh rogue trader is the best crpg I've ever played and I've only gotten to chapter 2. then we get to the actual racist slight of embellishing this figure where they haven't done so for other settings. in odyssey, you were a greek in a greek setting. in valhalla, you were a viking in a viking setting. in origins, you were an egyptian in an egyptian setting. but here we are...setting in japan and they cast a black guy. the ONLY black guy to exist in japan for hundreds of years much less. they should have captain kidd'd him and made him some NPC character you interact with. do your messaging that way. this is nothing more than pandering and racism.

My favourite games back in the Xbox 360 era were Armoured Core, and Tenchu... and both were imperfect games, but the best their genres had to offer.
      I need more.
I am satisfied in terms of this is the best offerings that have ever been.

The AAA problem in general is that many games NEED to sell 10-15 million copies just to break even.
That requires a very large target audience that simply doesn’t exist, as a result most of these games have elements that one group likes but others hate and so forth.
    As a food analogy:
Let’s make a dish that everyone likes.
Everyone loves fries, so let’s start with that.
Oh, pizza is good too, so let’s add some marinara and pepperoni and cheese.
Thai curry is great too, so let’s mix in some hot peppers and coconut sauce.
Almost forgot the hot dogs and mustard.
    Ice cream is good too.
Maybe some quinoa and romaine salad for the health nuts.
Now just some refried beans on top and blend it all into a delicious smoothie….

Some are saying it’s possible for gta 6 but that’s about the only game I see that could do it successfully.
      Everything else just doesn’t work
And in general it shouldn’t be the norm cuz you’re looking at fails upon fails of game projects
By the time the game is done being developed it’s either out of style or people moved on.
The act man said it best
Making games smaller is the way
Especially when it concerns a new IP you want people to jump into
If it does well or is received well
You can put a few more millions into a second game of that new IP and build it up overtime
That’s how you make legendary game franchises
not start with 500 million straight out of the gate.

@@whysoserious4274 I think even GTA 6 might struggle, especially given how alot of people are feeling deflated when it comes to Triple AAA gaming. Ultimately we'll wait and see what happens but all it would take is for one thing to screw up regarding GTA 6 and it'll become the worst selling game in the series.

You pulled those numbers out of your ass. Shadows will probably need to sell around 5 million copies to break even

    • @mickypain2959

      Believe what you will.
But at 5 million sakes to break even, considering that 30-50% of the game price goes to Steam, Sony, Retailers, etc, that would give Shadows roughly a 150-180 million budget, including all marketing campaigns to play with, which would be one of the lowest budgets of any AC game ever.
Odyssey cost 500m, and who knows how expensive Valhalla was…
Cyberpunk cost 316 million and made ~725m in revenue after selling 25 million copies, so would break even somewhere in the 10-15m range.

"If the game is good it will sell" Well thats why Ubisoft games fail. You don't threaten your audience with not owning their games and put out mediocre garbage. Old Ubisoft isn't their anymore. Its like most companies today a shell that just looks like it. Just stop seeing your loved ones in a zombie and let it rot.

This ham-fisted approach to inclusion has done nothing but hurt minorities. Not only do failures get attributed to them, when in reality, it was poor game design, we automatically become guilty by association. This approach has made it to where any person of color in a position is automatically seen as unqualified and undeserving, despite whatever the reality of the situation might be.
How did they not think this was going to blow up in their face? You take a culture with centuries upon centuries of a rich celebrated heritage, and make an obscure outsider the representative and call him the hero. It's absurd on the face of it, so many figures they could have chosen and they do this. And then they also give him dreads, set it to hip hop music, stereotype him to hell and back, and have the audacity to call it historical. Guess who deals with the backlash outside of the developers.
Japan already has issues with foreigners, no matter how you view that statement, it's true. Whether it's how they behave in the country or how natives view and treat them, all before you add melanin to the mix.
Can't be dark anywhere on earth smh.
P.s. it was never about the characters: Baulder's Gate 3, Spider-Man, Cyberpunk, Returnal. Poor game design is poor game design, stop blaming us.

This Assassins Creed Infinity project also reminds me of an interview Todd Howard (Bethesda) gave some time ago where he stated that they (Bethesda) will not work on big games (like Starfield, TES6) in the same timelines as in the past. Instead, they want to make one big game each, say, 6 years and then want to support this game for a longer period of time (through additional content, DLCs and such). So this is another indication of a big developer who wants to maximise profit while minimising the creative work on new games.
I have the feeling, however, that this is not really what the gamers want. I am certainly not going to support any AC game or Starfield as an ongoing live service game when I can play new innovative games like Wukong.

While it's not a stealth game Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth really showed up Ubisoft's laziness. Having a big open world with charismatic characters, Interesting things to do and excellent music makes the clearing map marker process far more enjoyable.
Assassin's creed in Japan was the holy grail I'm still praying it's somehow good but Ubisoft are creatively bankrupt the writing is so weak.

Real reason why AC Shadows will fail is because of Yasuke, everyone and their mother knows about it. I guarantee you if male MC was your usual japanese samurail like Jin Sakai and if female MC looked like more feminine - the game will be successfull despite all gameplay flaws.

If they really wanted Yasuke in the game he should have been the quest giver for the assassination questlines chain.
In Valhalla the way I started the whole take down that cabal thing was killing a random horse rider and it just kinda became "go here for clues" fetch quests until the end.
But having an actual guy to report back to would have given that whole questline a lot of personality

So normally when it comes to stock stuff, I take it with a grain of salt as Harley Davidson has been artificially inflating theirs since the 70s. Companies themselves like cheap stock because they can regain more ownership rather than investors, they can buy back their own stock in mass, maintain its value, and regain ownership. I don’t think that’s Ubisofts case this time though. Their stock just a couple years ago was at around $120 per share. It is $12 when I checked yesterday. Couldn’t have happened to a more deserving company

On top of this, they took a niche within Star Wars that caters to a mostly middle-aged male demographic, within an IP that already caters to a mostly male demographic, and tried to make the game cater to young women. You can't make up how poorly planned this entire game was.

I think that ever since they said that gamers should get comfortable with not owning their games, everything that they’ve dropped after that has been a flop. I’m no expert, but I think that has something to do with it. Everyone has access to the Internet nowadays and when you the title to one of these games, and you see all the review bombs and what people are saying about the company. I think that plays a big part in their downfall
