I still haven't got my promoto mx and I preordered it on June 24th. Sucks they weren't prepared for sales. They should have known it was going to sell. Big screw-up on Horizon's part. They seem to screw up every company they buy out. They can't even give me an ETA. It's ridiculous. Sorry about the rant. Those batteries are great I use them in my rc boats which draw more current and are harder on batteries than RC cars.
The demand for these has been really large, for sure!
Always had good luck with Ovonic batteries!
My experience with OVONIC has need 100% positive. I started using them a few years ago in my airplanes and ducted fan Jets. They are always balance when they arrive and last a long time IF you care for them properly as with any lipo.
The OVONIC dual charger is also excellent and the price is excellent. Great vid. Subscribed.

Nice to see options that fit and are less expensive. Speaking of that, I saw that there are some serious metal upgrade parts for these out now that run as much as the bike itself for the basic pieces. Waiting for more options and the bike to be available to see if I shuld take the plunge.
Metal parts for sure...but are they really "upgrades"? I'm not convinced so far.
The ONE part I have seen many people break is the crash structure behind the front wheel - so many, including me, are swapping to an aluminum piece.
But - all of those others parts....I'm not sure I would consider them "upgrades". Maybe just a waste of $$$....
@@RoadsideRC Some people love that bling for sure! I like a bit more function and a light bit of bling. But some parts need to be plastic to survive... or dont need to be metal to be good.
12 minutes and change is pretty good but i was hoping that it would last longer considering the capacity like 20-24 minutes lol. Oh well its still pretty good for a cheaper battery like that.
Were you able to get a better run time on smoother surfaces? I'm getting those batteries later today and then the bike the day after. Still excited to get it!! 🗣️🗣️🗣️
Smoother surfaces will extend your run time for sure.
Obviously, how you drive it will also make a big difference.
These bikes have A LOT going on with the gyro inside, etc. You are running 2 ESCs, 2 motors....it uses a lot of power.
@@RoadsideRC Ahh ok that makes total sense as far as smoother surfaces extending the run times & the batter not lasting as long because of the gyro and motor running simultaneously lol. I'll use 2 batteries instead of 1 to double the fun! Annnd probably get a higher capacity battery later on. Thanks for replying and I can't wait to pick my Bike up tomorrow evening! I do wonder why the 4 level battery leds are not working on the controller. Is this about the aternate battery?
Yes! You have to use the standard plug with the third wire in order to get that battery indicatorto work.
