👉LEARN MORE ABOUT DRONES @ www.halfchrome...
I love this drone....i am not a dji junkie. I welcome anything that's not dji. Thank you exo,its a powerful drone, don't critisize the price just go find a cheaper one. They have a lot out there. Or simply get your "dji fix" if ure that obsessed with dji...
For the price of that thing you might as well just get a dji drone.
Yes, could be but no better than this one! Features bro'
@DefaultName-sq2yp correct
@DefaultName-sq2yp Because I fly at night mostly I have to stick with dji Their night Mode is superior and you can record 4k at 60fps and After experiencing the rc2 There's no going back for me that being said If the exo was in the 600$ range I would definitely consider
DJI is a Chinese brand. No thanks.
DJI will be possibly getting banned
Very over priced for what you get. I would love to see a good american made drone that can compete with DJI But there is none. This is just rebranded Hubsan chinese drone. Until then I will stick with DJI. I love my Air 3 with the RC2.
with you on that one
Sadly DJI is getting banned here in the USA I believe the act is in hearing now
I will say the same as I did about their previous cheap model Hubsans badged up for this slick glossy marketing company to pass off as a premium brand. Worth half of what EXO is asking. No way can this product be competition for the true drone companies who control the whole chain from start to finish - R&D, proving, manufacturing and marketing.Hubsan would be better going it alone as they used to do and set the price of the drone at its true worth. At a price of $350 this could maybe sway people from a DJI mini SE , but certainly not the DJI Air 2s ( which is still available) let alone the new Air 3 standard model which EXO appear to be aiming at.
You are one of the few reviewers who is truthful, honest, and not taken in by the hype and gloss, for adhering to those scruples Jack you have my respect.
Thanks
all this is is the Ace Pro Refined worth $649 I have been running that one for 6 months and I can say it is better than the EXO BlackHawk 2 but never been anywhere close to a DJI and I have all of the Hubsan Ace Drones even have the Ace 2 it is better than the Ace Pro Refined but for $950 with just one battery it is not worth it
Too rich for my budget.
The price is too much for what it is it's still made in China
HMMM. Every time I see that quad it so much reminds me of Herbie the love bug with those colors. Just saying it needs a 53 on both sides lol👍
Geofencing is the only reason we don't have idiots flying drones where they shouldn't (the very reason why drones are heavily regulated or even banned now in many countries).
Then again, I am looking for DJI alternative for many years, but nothing so far. This one is a good try, but hardly a real alternative.
Absolutely ridiculous price for the overall build and camera quality of this drone. Nothing compares to DJI.
Nine miles? 🤔🤗
@@omarjason1255who needs to fly nine miles haha??
@@ep4294Yeah dji is great, sucks it's getting banned in my country (USA)
No, it is not even in the same league. Although it boasts excellent light adjustment, image processing, color correction, and grading capabilities, it drifts too much, and its software requires significant improvement. Its compass calibration and candlelight hold features need work and lack SmartControl.
By the way, I love my EXO Blackhawk 3 Pro. However, it’s simple: do not compare it to an Autel or DJI drone. I will give you a real assessment of my experience as a 25-year Head Engineer, a former Air Force guy, and a drone pilot for 11 years.
DJI offers the very best consumer drone for under $20K. If you are looking for a similar performance from an American drone company, be prepared to spend much more. For example, the Parrot Anafi USA | Gov Edition costs $14,000.00, while I can get the DJI Mavic 3 Thermal Enterprise with Care Plus Warranty for $5,998.00.
If you go up to $10K, you can get the DJI Matrice 300, which is light years ahead of Anafi USA. I also own a Parrot PF728000 Anafi Drone, and while it is a great drone that flies well, the construction could be better, and it is no DJI, either.
I think EXO is doing some pretty good stuff with their drones, especially with the prices. I personally wouldn't buy an exo drone, because I just don't like the frames. They kind of look like flying bricks, but I think they're good enough for the people likes them and that doesn't want to spend a lot of money.
Thanks for sharing Jack. 👍👍👍
>especially with the prices - See this is my only real issue with Exo, their drones seem like good quality, but the BHP3 is nearly $1000. You can get the brand new DJI Mini 4 Pro for under $800 and it has more features to it, or the M4P with the RC 2 controller for the same price as the BHP3. I really wanted to like Exo but they're just not competitive enough in their pricing to ever threaten DJI. The BHP3 at $600-700 would be much more enticing.
@@aefilmsweddings your right, but if I'm not mistaken. I believe that drone just came out. That's their last and newest drone, but what about the rest of exo's drones. I don't personally like their lineup of drones but you cannot ignore the prices.
All of EXO's drones are rebranded drones made by various Chinese companies. Their latest drone is simply a rebranded Hubsan Ace Pro. EXO is nothing but a scam with good marketing. Not a single drone they sell is of their own design.
@@Namanoh true. Like I said, I personally wouldn't buy anything from exo because I don't like Hubsan drones and I don't like them period. They look very cheaply made and I don't trust them.
They may be good drones for certain people, but I prefer DJI. Reliable in everything on a drone.
Even though exo is an American company, it's exactly what you said. They don't have or make their own drones. All they do is sell them with a different name and price. Oh and have American customer service. That's it...
@Namanoh if you watch the video that isn’t new information
This may be my go to drone in the event that the government bans my dji drone
Same. If not these, then maybe Anzu
I would rather get an Autel EVO Lite + with 6K for a cheaper price.
Camera has it problems. I have issues with my Blackhawk 3. App freezes often, video quality is only good when you use a SD card. The internal storage has an issue on mine when recording at 200 mbps. Lots of waves on the 4k video unless recorded at 100 mbps on SD card, then its fine.
2.7k 60 fps video works fine. 1080p video has glitches on both 30 and 60 FPS. Recent firmware updates are killing this drone.
The drone is great when it works right. So much to be desired. Hope issues get worked out
Jay this is a hubsan ace pro refined, it's a sub $600 drone but unfortunately exo have shut the door on USA customers purchasing it. I suggest your US bases customers look as the hubsan ace 2, 1inch sensor and a lot more features over the exo bh3, but at the same price! And as exo do not have this model it should be flyable in the US
The Ace Pro Refined is $550 to $630 USD but the Remote has no LED screen. The Hubsan Ace 2 with 2 batteries is listed at $800 to $920.
I'll get the blackhawk iii
Half Chrome. I’m out here in Sugar Grove. Where you at?
Huntley
Thank you for your review. I don’t like dji and will never own one. I just ordered the bh3pro through Amazon and your discount code apparently doesn’t work there. I am strictly a hobbyist/recreational flyer and want a dependable drone that has decent photography ability. This seems to fit the bill. Thanks again!
Enjoy it. Thanks
Looks like a nice drone, I used to have a Hubsan Zino 2 Plus, back before Exo took over US sales.(And then a Golden Eagle mistook it for a potential lunch and knocked it out of the sky). I liked the drone, except for the fact that it tended to crab off to an angle instead of flying straight forward. I had to recalibrate the controller from time to time to lessen the problem, but it never went away completely. Are there any issues with the Blackhawk 3 Pro flying straight and true, or has Hubsan resolved that issue in current offerings?
Also, is it just my septuagenarian eyes, or is the image really saturated? Not that that's all bad...
I have one husban ACE pro, should be the same one, the battery lasts 35 mins or so, never be 52 mins.
EXO is rebranded Hubsan lol
I will say this, I switch from my Mavic 2 to the Blackhawk 2 and it was the worse decision I have ever made. It rarely connects, it somehow says it has a weak gps signal despite being out in the open and connected to 15 satellites. Then when it FINALLY connects, I record videos and take pictures, I come home to look at what I did and literally nothing is there. I have NEVER had this issue with my DJI and it pisses me off that I spent this amount of money on a drone they claimed to be great. I have had it little under 2 years and I have only been able to fly it successfully, 5 times. And I doubt I can return it at this point. DO NOT BUY THIS DRONE.
That’s my home town. My wife and I said, that looks like the downtown square. Sweet
H-Town!
Thanks for your efforts, but it’s a big fat No , looks cheap but isn’t cheap, camera quality is awful, way over saturated, there are far better options including DJI / Autel , whilst I look forwards to competition, Hubsan will never be it, I can’t get over Hubsans pricing it’s way off point considering the other options.
It is hard when it’s that expensive.
DJI is the best!
Evel knievel colors!!!!
Don’t waste your money. EXO does not have replacement parts for this drone. Their customer service sucks! Spend your money on a DJI.
I notice, I can't seem to find a decent drone beside dji that offers "follow me user"
Very nice drone and it ticks all the boxes for sure. Would i buy it the advertised price, instead of a DJI ? I don't think so, as i know DJI drones having flown them for years.
No. I think this drone is for people that hate DJI
@@HalfChrome : 🤣Maybe, but i will stick to what i know. 😊
Color science looks a bit strange , good camera quality though!
I wish it had a remote controller with a built in screen. I don't want to use a phone for a controller.
awsome review sir. but that drone is to expansive for me lol
I own an EXO Cinemaster 2, and I've watched the DJI stans straight out lie about its capabilities. So its good to see someone giving an honest review of an EXO.
I swear, the DJI fans remind me of the folks who wouldn't budge from their iPhones.
It's because EXO drones is essentially a scam company. They rebrand various Chinese toys. The "Blackhawk" is a Hubsan Ace Pro with their branding slapped on the shell, none of the drones they sell are of their own design.
@@Namanoh
Rebranding is not a scam, dude. Having another company make your drones is not a scam. This is horrific logic on your part.
Thank you for your review of the Black hawk 3 appreciate it they finally came out with the drone that was worthy of me wanting to buy instead of batteries that only lasts 15 minutes in my opinion this actually competes with autel
30 minutes at the most
Thanks for the "tutorial" This was not a "review", especially not an impartial one, which is what I was looking for.
Looks like EXO, like several other companies except DJI, still have horizon leveling issues. I have poo-pooed EXO drones until I saw this model.... mildly interested, but they need to add a controller with a screen and/or compatible goggles and they will be taking my money. Until then I will keep watching the rapid development of better drones.
Should not be recommending this drone it is an overpriced rebranded husban ... come on..
I like this dtone...suits my needs. Its good..and i understand the price...i checked every feature and accessories, packaging and all.
Yeah, I took the d j i mini s e two out at night and it can see a laser only when it's shined right at the camera. Horrid no night vision
All well and good right up until your realise that Hubsan made it and they are not worth spending a single penny on
It's the answer if the question is, "What's the most overpriced, under delivering drone of 2023?" This same drone can be purchased from Hubsan, Alibaba, etc. for around $600. You won't get the same service though... so there's that.
you don't get any good service out of EXO ether unless you don't mind being treated like you are stupid and do not want to stand by their warranty
Hubsan exo black hawk drones has moved up to 7th place overall. If but to capture 3rd spot is a battle between DJI , Autel, and Sky radio.
Please inform me of this top 10 list.
9 miles = 250 metres. "dont worry! your not allowed fly that anyway".
if not allowed fly it, what point buying it ? that's saved me some money!
Yeah, the distance estimates on a lot of drones is kinda pointless. I’m 64 and my eyes ain’t what they used to be ! My Mini 2 disappears in no time ! IDK why drone companies still make them with capabilities like that.
No quality erro app in atualization
Batteries are way to high
I guess Miami Labs sounds more ltech legit than Openstore, but still just a glorified reseller, not a real drone company. Customer service was bad when Exo was run out of a kid's garage in Utah and it's gotten worse under Openstore. Great support like paying a premium for "Exo Care" and getting your faulty new drone replaced with a used one.
Not worth the money at all. Nothing on this device justifies the price.
It would be great for $500…
Don’t do it.
Hubsan is Chinese? How do I know if it has the same potential data problems that DJI has been accused of?
They don’t. Neither does DJI
@@HalfChrome Can you direct me to a source of information that clears companies like DJI of using our communications infrastructure to relay information to the Chinese govt/military? I've read some of the bill and have listened to the testimony of well informed analysts who have warned of the problem I've mentioned.
@andrewlamb3585 your source is congress? Check their sources. That’s the trail.
@HalfChrome The bill and experts on cyber security.
okay.. You had what seemed to be a strong opinion so I assumed you mightve been able to show me how neither have the problem DJI is purported to have.
@andrewlamb3585 The idea is kind of crazy. The drones aren’t connected to the internet. There have been plenty of studies. The bill failed in the senate. It was funded by a lobbyists and an American drone company. I’m all for security but evidence is important and it’s lacking. If they had any they would not need a bill banning FUTURE drones. They would shut down current ones.
Thank you.
Hubsam 😂 dji
What are some good options for reliably over 30 min flight time per charge, as far as brands and models?
There are a lot of options. Depends on what kind of drone you want
Hubsan deixa muito a desejar 😂👎
whats the range on this?
Why does the American product look more Chinese than DJI
Made in China. Owned by American co.
No repositon parts
No geofencing? Pass.
And you want geofencing? Why? I’m not against it but…
Is there an option in the menu to disable remote ?
Disable remote? So you can’t fly?
@@HalfChrome FRIA ZONE
Do you mean remote ID? I don’t think so
Thank you for the review! Unfortunately because of DJI connection to china military it's not allowed in my house lol.
So it's nice to see another drone company other than DJI makes good drones.
