Cleared the air without any confusion
I am working on academic h1b in the US and waiting for my i140 approval. My wife will be applying h4 from India. Will she be required a waiting period before applying EAD after arriving in the US if the i140 is approved by then? Thanks.

It’s gonna be very different from L2 visa then, on L2 visa I started working as soon as I landed in the US; any other document approval is not needed for L2

Hello Mam,
My spouse H1B was picked in lottery, and we are about to file H4 application along with the EAD Card application bundled with my spouse H1B application via premium processing route and I was informed that within 15 days USCIS is obliged for EAD Card approval subjected to H1B approval.
Pls. clarify and guide.
You won't be eligible to work right now. Along with H1b your spouse also needs an i140 approved for you to be able to apply for EAD. If she's just got her h1b lottery picked, she won't have it. Please check out our video on H4 visa. We've explained that in detail.
