Agreed, the date on the Registry Act is LONG OVERDUE for an extension, ideally Jan 2002, but the law also needs to be amended so that that date can automatically roll forward annually and keep the act RELEVANT. It should have been fixed back when Reagan was in charge. Regarding the U visa, WHD will want to know what specific laws were broken and/or crime committed for them to issue the supplemental B form. I understand a criminal attorney would help make that assessment so that WHD can issue the form, at least in those cases such as mine involving employment law. Is there a good criminal attorney out there who can help with this?

Hello gray law, I wanted to ask what are the necessary things to do if you want to permanently stay in the U.S. while using J1 visa as a point of entry in the U.S.? What's your best advise that you could give? Thanks In advance.
@@GrayLawTV first of all thanks for responding of my query. This is just a follow up question how about if my J1 visa states that 2 year rule does not apply? What's the best approach to this.?
You would have to look into eligibility for adjustment of status if your Visa does not require INA 212(e). You could also look into changing your nonimmigrant status but that’s not a permanent solution.
Thank you so much for all your info about immigration. Pls, i have a 10 year visa, but unfortunately i have overstayed over a year. I didn't know i was supposed to leave before 6 months. I wasn't told at the airport. Pls can you advice me on what to do. Thanks.
Yes, the US embassy gave you 10 years..But, at the port of entry you have I-94 fill up..and it depends to the immigration officer how many months your stay in US soil..if it’s 1-3-6 months only..The meaning of 10 years visa, is you can go back and forth in the US only at certain period..Not you can live/work there for the whole 10 years..🤑🤪😳😵💫

love101a3 0 seconds ago If you have a ED card for five years on an overstay visa for more then ten years and you can get an extension ED card , can you get a greed card with GMC form ?
As far as TPS, if they’re approved for tps, get an i-131 approved to travel, travel outside the U.S, admit in; do they need to file an i-485 to adjust by themselves or they need someone to sponsor them, and file an i-130 or what form ? Thanks
TPS has its own advance parole form and that is only used for admission into the US. The recipient still has to adjust with a petitioner (even if they wanted to file as a self-petitioner) and meet other eligibility requirements when filing the I-485.

@graylaw I think to get vawa you have to be married to the person that was abusing you but I think they should have it for women that weren’t married but was living in an unmarried relationship.
1. VAWA is not just for abused women, it includes men and children. 2. The self-petition is in place of the petition that would have been done by the US Citizen or lawful permanent resident spouse/parent so no, it can’t be an unmarried abused partner self-petition.

@graylaw I think to get vawa you have to be married to the person that was abusing you but I think they should have it for women that weren’t married but was living in an unmarried relationship.
@saddy, now that would be an amazing update...remember there is a U visa!!!!
1. VAWA is not just for abused women, it includes men and children. 2. The self-petition is in place of the petition that would have been done by the US Citizen or lawful permanent resident spouse/parent so no, it can’t be an unmarried abused partner self-petition.
Could that 61 year old doctor who just found out he's not really an American citizen because he was born to diplomats, apply for a green card under the registry?
@opzwill, if the doctor entered the US before January 1st 1972 yes!
@@GrayLawTV his entry was by birth
