No I feel like it would ruin it honestly. Sean, Kieran, and Hosea’s deaths weren’t as good because they were all cutscenes and we 100% knew Hosea and Kieran was dead, and Sean’s death was sudden but it was an ambush so you didn’t really have much time to feel impacted by it. Lenny’s death on the other hand was entirely unexpected and makes you feel bad because you feel like you could have avoided his death, and you wouldn’t have expected them to kill a main character without a cutscene.

(I know most of who died were favorites) But just to have him suddenly die mid game in a fight he’s survived so many times really help settle in the Tru mortality of the situation. Like u spent so many times not worrying about other charcutera cause they have this sense of invincibility like “they could never die”. The gang was truly lucky to survive what they had so many times and I think this mindset resulted in Arthur’s and the players lack of reaction when it came to saving Lenny. Even Lenny’s carelessness.

Their relationship makes me cry. I always felt like Arthur was the only one who truly cared about Lenny, and he didn't even get time to mourn Lenny's death
letting their relationship aside, I love how Arthur knows his way around guns. Making sure he pulled the rifle's bolt to make sure no bullet is in the chamber then aiming to check the rifle's sight is just *chef's kiss*

That was the worst mission EVER! Because the whole story gets progressively sadder from there... 😭 Fantastic game though. No other game has made me feel so attached to both the main protagonist AND secondary characters!
Lenny and Arthur was the best friendship in the entire game. Such a big brother/little brother relationship, with Arthur doing his best to help teach and protect Lenny, but ultimately failing due to a multitude of small and big mistakes that piled up and led to Lenny's death in Saint Denis.
I remember when I first played rdr2 and got to the saloon mission with Lenny. Love the relationship between Lenny and Arthur, no modern political social commentary, just wholesome

This really shows how Lenny is the polar opposite of Micah. He cares about the gang, he doesn’t want to do any unnecessary violence, but what really symbolizes it is that while he successfully gets the wagon to the camp, he doesn’t believe in himself or that he belongs, while Micah fails to bring in the wagon yet still thinks of himself as a stronger and better person than everyone else.
I love how in the second cut scene arthur turns into dutch but Lenny's death was unexpected and if you play in first person it looks like Lenny tries to say goodbye to arthur before he passed

Hosea was the last straw for Dutch's sanity and the gang but Lenny was the last straw for Arthur. He pretty much saw his young self in Lenny and wanted to give him a future better than that, away from all this gang stuff just like he did with women and Marstons. His death impacted Arthur a lot
