I just hope they make the story more interesting than the first game becausa after a while it got quite boring and repetitive. I think that the background of the main character should have been explained instead of just being a random guy who somehow got discovered by a teacher and invited to hogwarts and got to skip 5 year of classes without a problem
I agree, but some of that has been explained not the important parts but skipping to grade 5 is because of the ancient magic and then throughout the story you learned where the ancient magic comes from I’m excited to see if they tied this into the main Harry Potter story and if so, how they’re gonna do it
Spoken as someone who only played it through once haha I agree there should have been more back lore but it still was a damn good game it’s easy to be critical on a game when it’s been out for over a year but you have to admit everyone loved it for what it was when it came out. I’m literally playing it again as I’m writing this and it’s still a good game of course there could have been more added but for the first Hogwarts game it’s pretty damn good man.

Perhaps darker, more young adult themes are ahead??
@chlopee2220 Well, that would be cool if it was closer to modern times! But i don't know... I can see how they'd tie the game to the show via lore. Like a special item you use heavily in the game, or maybe the things you did had a backhand effect on some subplots of the show... maybe? Lol I dunno

I don’t know much about that house, start a garden or something.

I agree, and I was really disappointed to find that the main story barely has you explore any of the open world. Every open world game I've played takes you gradually through each zone with quests across the entire zone, but in Hogwarts Legacy I was surprised by how little the story has you explore

It would be cool if they added Expecto Patronum and that you learn it after a while in the game. Your patronus is based on how you play the game, for recommendation, but that you can choose which one you want or go with the one they think suits you!

I think it would make sense for a sequel to take place a few years after the events of the first game. They can reuse much of their assets and put a spin on them. Would be nice if it was based around Dumbledore and Grindelwald. You go to school with them as their friend helping them find the deathly hallows. Time progression would be fun too. Maybe you start at year 5 and get to experience the tri-wizard tournament in year 6. The third and final act would take place in final year

There should be a correct animal approaching (bowing while interacting with Highwing...). We should be able to become an Animagus.
a direct sequel to HL would be nice, sure, but it sort of feels like they finished the story without answering many questions. it would be nice to know the answer to all of them, such as does anne ever get cured, etc, but like i said, it feels like the story itself finished. Ranrok gone, ancient magic... well, harnessed or put to rest, etc.
I need a rated R version of this game. Like RDR2 or GTA. I need more free will. More creatures. (I’m tired of spiders and wolfs) more details. The wizarding world is complex. I just want the game to reflect that.
i really want to learn how to make potions in the first game you only make the first one and all the others you just get the recipe and that's it it would be really cool if they get more and more complicated to make the further you go in the story
What if you played as James, Sirius, Peter, or Remus? They created the Marauder's map, so that could lead to the player having to physically search the castle for all the secrets passageways and rooms to create the map. Would also allow to learn about being an Animagus through the improper channels they went with, and play as a werewolf too! Could have the story start with them as students, continue with them fighting against Voldemort, and ending in James' and Lily's death. This would allow the player to see their world transform from the relative safety of the school to learning about and eventually becoming involved in the fight againt Dark Wizards and how it affected them (since a couple of them went all dark side).
I think this would be awesome but I doubt they'd do it for a HL game specifically, just bc it takes away the self-insert aspect. I do think it'd be cool to maybe be at Hogwarts at the same time as the Marauders and maybe get somd side content with them if you choose to be in Gryffindor, but i doubt they'd do that either bc then you have to account for the player character potentially having a meaningful impact on canon characters, which would most likely lead to retcons.
I just want to point this out, because a lot of people and websites (including the Harry Potter Wiki) have this wrong, but Voldemort had already killed his father and grandparents and made the ring into a horcrux before he opened the Chamber of Secrets and killed Myrtle. The diary was his second horcrux. That's a common mistake, because Dumbledore's wording is really weird when he explains it. It makes it sound like he was 16, but in reality he was 15. He says it was "In the summer of his 16th year." Voldemort's birthday is December 31st 1926, so he's 15 during the summer of his 16th year, which is 1942. It isn't until he's already back at school for his 5th year (1942-43) where he opens the Chamber of Secrets, and Myrtle doesn't die until the end of that school year, well into 1943. He likely learned how to push the Chamber from Morfin Gaunt that same day. The correct order of the horcruxes is the ring, the diary, the cup, the locket, the diadem, Harry, and then Nagini.
Even with slughorn’s memory, it’s more a question of if multiple horcruxes could be made- not how to make one, meaning he could very well know how to because he already made the ring.
I for one don't understand why they don't take inspiration from the Triwizard tournament tradition - this would provide strong focus on the castle (finding clues about the tasks themselves and how to conquer them) as well as helped structuring the story into chapters with their own minibosses and stuff...
what about a more than 1 year cycle, where we dont only spend 1 school term at hogwarts, rather we go back to wherever, then play a 2nd term? and in one of the terms, we could have the triwizard tournament implemented?
@@pleasedbat574just let us start as a first year and progres trough the years but like with skipped periods let your character grow from 11 y/o to a 17/18y/o
Sucks that it feels like a closed environment, no way to interact with the outside world or other people irl. Once you're done, the whole world becomes moot.
I really hope they do a sequel because there was so many unanswered questions and plot holes. Plus it would be great if we are able to graduate and take OWLS exam.
Personally, I have 0 interest in Tom Riddle and the 2nd movie was the most boring one, imo. Basilisk was boring and we've already had a game with it. I want something fresh. Legacy was fresh. I'd love more of that, but more detailed. Definitely detail over map size. More iconic pois, etc.
I know its a small improvement but I want more character customization like way more hairstyles and faces but also being able to change the body shape like why can you only be skinny in hogwarts legacy 1!?
Nah doing puzzles to unlock a tier of a spell would suck. It should be the more you use the spell, the stronger it'll get, like in real life. The more you practice, the better
I belive we should have difficult one on one fights in the open world as i find a barly trained 15year old going into a camp with 20 trained dark wizards and decimating them really funny and daft.
True but at least you become the strongest in school in the tournament, and everyone is impressed when you defeat the trolls, so it’s not a random 15 year old doing that, it’s like you are the chosen one who can use ancient magic and shit
I want to see somethings that were in bully. Perfects and professors patrolling the school at night getting caught gets you detention and losing house points, classes get you cosmetics and upgrades, students attire changes with the seasons
Why not have it set in the age of the Marauders, it can easily be done. You have Death Eaters to fight instead of Ashwinders or you can have Rockwood's Ashwinders still around. They are loyal to Augustus Rookwood who uses them to hide Voldemorts/Death Eaters' actions until they are ready. This will also allow the player to become an animagus if they are friends or follow/spy on the Marauders.
Your idea of losing house points for using forbidden spells is stupid as fuck. Basically no one sees us use it but somehow we are discovered to have used it? On top of that, it basically renders the spells Null. Might as well take it out of the game of using it gets you a automatic shit-score. But as you said you're not a game developer. Makes sense you'd think of something so dumb that actual fans would hate.
I think these games that allow you to make the protagonist there will always be a limit to how indepth your player can be cuz t's all just how you'd react or what you do so it's hard be drawn to a story's protagonist if they have to be a simple as possible so you never feel like a character in Harry Potter you feel like a shell of wizard with everyone around you carrying you through the plot
When I played the first game, the way they incorporated revelio as a base spell, hidden as a near sight search, rather than its “own spell”, was genius. And I half way expected there to eventually be a double jump using the same way but make it the spell “ascendo” or “ascentio” however it’s spelled. I hope they do something like that for the second game.
Really looking forward to the Legacy 2. I would also love to see diagon alley and Azkaban. Along with dementors and learning expecto patronum. Starting out only being able to use a weaker patronus light which keeps dementors away. And using spell mastery to fully summon a patronus animal to defeat dementors I only just started playing the first one this past Christmas. And literally just finished the main story last night. I’m about 82% complete and will be going for 100.
i think the moral system is not needed for the time period that the game is in. they made it clear, Hogwarts teachers believe in teaching all kinds of magic, and believe the students should learn in school where its safe, opposed to being out there learning it by them self and hurting them self. this general attitude towards dark magic makes sense before the time of Voldemort, where the attitudes shifted because Voldemort and his death eaters were knowing for abusing these curses.
Oooh imagine if you had a character who starts out like that. They got the potential but learned their magic via crash course learning because of their life circumstances. Perhaps our character runs into them.
More focus on the castle. Less focus on the surrounding areas, except for forbidden forest, black lake and hogsmeade. Id like more reason to be in the common-room. Its cool that we have friends in all houses, but the benefit of more house-specific companions, is strengthening the fantasy of going to Hogwarts. Id like to see multiple years as well..
I really hope they add more to the open world outside Hogwarts Valley. Maybe a little bit of magical London like Diagon Alley and maybe we could do a quest for Ollivander for example. And some more Azkaban content. For Azkaban they just need to expand the original assets they created. Plus more secret passages in the Hogwarts castle and maybe the Chamber of Secrets. Gameplay wise I agree with Wes but I think I spell mastery from a developer point of view would maybe make the game less attractive to some people and reduce the size of the possible target audience? Some gamers might not like having to work hard for their spells. But there definitely needs to be more to do inside Hogwarts. Maybe there could be some quest to discover the secret passages they should add?
@wesnemo You talked a little about the morality and it should be implemented and i agree, the thing thats grinding my gears is how NPCs can know when you use the unforgivable curses in say a dungeon? How would you enforce it? I could see it happening at Hogwarts and being sent to Azkaban. It's a great feature to have but i don't it to be like the police in GTA when somehow that kill is automatically related to you, even out in the middle of nowhere. Great videos! Subscribed!
have you guys played the old ps2 version of chamber of secrets? that game had fun collectibles in the form of wizard cards and a house tournament and quidditch. a ps2 game has all these things we have been wishing for in hogwarts legacy.
id honestly be happy if they just dump the whole Hogwarts focus, start the game at the end of our players school year, and how he/ she has to live out being a keeper, and being able to see ancient magic, the Goblins cant be the only ones after this magic, who else is? and have the player act out being a active keeper. this opens up the entire world and throws us right in it.
I think we need to have 3 to 5 spots that we can have companions so we can literally walk in to any situation with multiple companions with us 3 to 5 of them... With interaction.. Between you and the companions... And the companions with the companions too... Keep in single player.. So I could play The Game By Myself without any friends... Or have it have the capability that if I want a friend to come over and play one of the companions characters a timer too they could Do That too...
They should do a proper retelling of Fantastic Beasts. Like what was Dumbledore doing while Newt was of fulfilling his mission from Dumbledore. We has students could aid Dumbledore in some way and perhaps get to see that legendary duel between Dumbledore and Grindelwald that's been hinted at for decades now.
All I hope is that if buying the legacy 2 game while already having finished the first one that you don’t have to “learn” everything again, like spells
Yeah it really would be great like if we had all of that , but also….. It would be up to us players like if we wanna join Tom Riddle and to help him out , but also getting the ability to do some chaos and mischief and doing some or a lot of damages. But that’s only if some of us are as Slytherins but the house points should go up , like whenever there is chaos , mischief and damages but without actually killing anyone. And giving us the ability to choose to stay living in the Castle or actually be living in the deadly wilds. And also giving us the chance of making our own Magic and also making our own Spells.
@@WesNemo But I do have more darker ideas , but it’s actually depending whoever wants to hear them all. But honestly I would rather not be confined in the castle , but it really would be more better like if we could choose what type of a creature that we become as. But it’s actually depending on the creature that we wanna become as. But we still be as a player that we are , but as a human but combining us to the creature that our house is.
i really hope its a sort of original harry potter but with a own created character and the same exploration abilities and puzzles like hogwarts legacy. it would be cool i think to play harry potter years 1 to 7 but in one fluent game.
I'd like to see us being able to possibly design our characters parents and then they can introduce them in a quest or just randomly finding their house.
Toms first horcrux is his muggle fathers ring, myrtle was a utilized mistake hence he used what has on him at the time his journal is the seconded horcrux.
actually Myrtle and the diary were first. Tom had just found out about Horcruxes right before he killed her. that's what his conversation with Slughorn was about. he used Myrtle and his diary as an experiment to see if it would actually work the way Slughorn said it would. he just didn't realize that her murder would cause Professor Dippet (Dumbledore's predecessor) to close the school and force him to go back to the orphanage unless the killer (Tom) was caught. also the ring didn't belong to his father. it was his grandfather's. he turned it into a Horcrux after he killed him and his uncle.
A jump to Harry Potter in his 30, so little the last Scene in the Last Film, when he brings his Son Albus to the Train, would be Interesting. You can link the Story as an Addon and experience the School as Albus and also tell an extra Story, maybe even think about the theatre play and the Story can go beyond
I think it would be great if they had different tiers, in terms of the quanitity of quests. I would liken it to how games have Story mode/Easy, Normal, Difficult. So have that but for the number of quests you have to explore, before reaching the conclusion of rhe game. Just my thoughts.
I hope we get to do Mission to do with the 3 items ender want clok of invensibel and the Stone but also letting us keeping it upob compleation and also other bits and böses also making the World Equalizer like not only like ariund and the Castor but the whole World should feel full and better.
I wish they would do a game about The Marauders and learning how to transfigure into an Animagi, or even being a student in the first Wizarding War and your actions determine if you become OotP or Death Eater at the end. I think they could expand on the already existing world without going too far out of canon and also get into a world we only get glimpses of. I want there to actually be consequences for being out of bed and you have to sneak around at night. I think they could do so much with the story and making improvements on the gameplay aspect would be fun and more of a challenge. I loved HL, but I felt like so much was left on the table that they may touch on in the second, but I feel a lot of it will be abandoned.
I would really love the sequel to be like the app game Hogwarts Mystery honestly. For an app game it does pretty well. I felt like I actually belonged as a student to Hogwarts. You go through all 7 years at school, there is stuff to do after school, you really make some friends both human and beasts. I know people like to sleep on that game but I always felt that in some regards it was better than Legacy
I think another route we could go down is because of the loss of Professor Fig, that Professor Sharp steps in as our new mentor. There’s a lot of fan theories out there that he was meant to play a bigger role in HL than he did and with his ex-auror past he would make a great mentor for us
I wish they would come out with Ilvermorny School of Witchcraft and Wizardry as the second one. Call it Ilvermorny since Hogwards is feels too overrated with so many games out there based on Hogwarts
This is a wishlist not a reveal
that's what im saying
Bingo
Clicks
A pretty good wishlist in my opinion.

@v_oaklyn1127 Yes. He's even wearing the ring in that memory.
@ yes!
It takes place in your character's fifth year at Hogwarts considering you're there for 7 years they still have 2 years to work with
I for one don't understand why they don't take inspiration from the Triwizard tournament tradition - this would provide strong focus on the castle (finding clues about the tasks themselves and how to conquer them) as well as helped structuring the story into chapters with their own minibosses and stuff...
what about a more than 1 year cycle, where we dont only spend 1 school term at hogwarts, rather we go back to wherever, then play a 2nd term? and in one of the terms, we could have the triwizard tournament implemented?
I just hope they drop that dull, boring, and way overly repetitive lockpicking minigame.
I know its a small improvement but I want more character customization like way more hairstyles and faces but also being able to change the body shape like why can you only be skinny in hogwarts legacy 1!?
You ever see an overweight wizard with that type of cardio in the game ?
@@salemlee2592 lmaoooooo
be pretty cool if they added the similar quest to the triwizard tournament, so it combines all sorts of new scenes, actions and creatures
They could do a whole game in of itself for the tournament.
@@deadinside2326 ohhh good idea
Nah doing puzzles to unlock a tier of a spell would suck. It should be the more you use the spell, the stronger it'll get, like in real life. The more you practice, the better
Maybe they can do something. Like being given a bag like Newt scamander had where we can go in to it...
It would be nice to have access to a couple of other wizarding schools. Like Uagadou and Castelobruxo.
I hope that this time we can just sit down in chairs, it was so anoying to have chairs but not being able to sit on them.
Last time I checked, an unforgivable curse was a 1 way ticket to Azkaban, not 10 points off your house.
Let's keep it on the hush like part 1
Would love to see Aurors coming to find you if you use unforgivable curses
I would love to see the Tri-Wizard Cup in the game as well.
And have multiple challenges/events so you get a random set with every play through of Cup.
agree on the moral sytem part
I actually think "Ilvermorny's Legacy" would be a good idea. Almost totally clean slate with new storyline and history.
I would love to start as a first year and work my way through all the years.
And using spell mastery to fully summon a patronus animal to defeat dementors
I only just started playing the first one this past Christmas.
I also wish they would have said my name at least once. Bright called the “New fifth year” wasn’t cool
You should start as a kid in first year and grow more powerful as you complete each year into an adult
Subscribed!
I think bully is a good game to take reference from for spells. The classes in that game weee really interactive and pretty cool.
Mark my words, Eleazar Fig will be the ultimate Villain!
have you guys played the old ps2 version of chamber of secrets? that game had fun collectibles in the form of wizard cards and a house tournament and quidditch. a ps2 game has all these things we have been wishing for in hogwarts legacy.
0:16 Top Tier walking animation ..
It would be better if they introduce a new school and link it with Hogwarts and it would be better if story is extensively long.
You have a lot og great ideas. I really hope they will implement them !
id honestly be happy if they just dump the whole Hogwarts focus, start the game at the end of our players school year, and how he/ she has to live out being a keeper, and being able to see ancient magic, the Goblins cant be the only ones after this magic, who else is? and have the player act out being a active keeper. this opens up the entire world and throws us right in it.
They need Skyrim like NPC’s. Bring the world to life.
I want it to be in the same timeline as the HP movies and I want the chamber of secrets too. I WANT TO SEE AND FIGHT THE BASILISK
Yes!!
@@WesNemo
But I do have more darker ideas , but it’s actually depending whoever wants to hear them all.
Connecting it to the new show is a bad call. There is reason that it always fails.
Will it be on Xbox series X/S?
I'd like to see us being able to possibly design our characters parents and then they can introduce them in a quest or just randomly finding their house.
We need seasons that change still once you beat the game.
Uses Avada Kedavra on classmate
- 10 points to Gryffindor
It could be cool if Hogwarts legacy 2 was based with tom and Hagrid
We need dementors and patronus charm for Hogwarts Legacy 2.
Hope the increase the spell counts and and potions and plants and bae learn the spells fast just make it a lot more spells to learn not prolong them
I hated the ending of the first game. A goblin that transformed into a dragon…..bogus.
It would be nice to play Merlin when he studies in Hogwards...
Thank you! Can't wait!
I think another route we could go down is because of the loss of Professor Fig, that Professor Sharp steps in as our new mentor. There’s a lot of fan theories out there that he was meant to play a bigger role in HL than he did and with his ex-auror past he would make a great mentor for us
I need key shortcuts for herbs and pots!!!
It is going to be an extension on the first game or will we have to buy a whole thing
I wish they would come out with Ilvermorny School of Witchcraft and Wizardry as the second one. Call it Ilvermorny since Hogwards is feels too overrated with so many games out there based on Hogwarts
I want multiplayer and/or co-op!!
I would love a game similar to hogwarts legacy but going into ww2 with grindelwald and such.
mini games can be hell reall quick chill on that dude
Biomes, please, also extreme mode and call it Bloody Hell, if you know you know.
How about we get some damn romance that was cut out of the first game, character development is crucial.
yea i wish the main story was more tied to hogwarts
Whatever point in history the next game takes place in, I would rather not be second fiddle to an established character.
Spell skill like gun skill in GTA San Andres . You got good ideas. Also they could do a nemesis system
Damn we have a ball knower! I actually got the idea from San Andreas, also a nemesis system would be nutty!
