@@ianjones2731 It's so difficult im a pretty solid musician and that part still trips me up massively because I haven't put enough time into that style of playing for the intro. its kind of like the drumming equivalent of a shuffle beat there's so much going on in the groove its massive mental overload

That is so true. I started playing in college and that's when begin to listen to and appreciate the guitar solos in songs wayy more than I had before. This guy fucking NAILED it.

Hey Devin, nope... took me 4 months but I eventually learned to play it real time. I used Riff Master Pro to practice at very slow speeds and then gradually sped it up... this one was harder than all the other songs so far (which surprised me)
I was but something got messed up in the electronics during the guitar's rebuild and the bridge pickup sounded bad... I have to rewire the bridge pick-up...
Bravo. You guys who cover Eddie's stuff so well have a special telent that other guitarists don't quite have. It's fun to watch. Great job.

pretty good playing there man but nobody can " swing " like the master ...
great player.... just grab those strings a little more for the pinched harmonics and that "sound" that comes from muting and squealing at the same time. Ed always has everything hammered down hard. Remember, even if you've seen the picks he threw to the crowd, those aren't the ones he was using. Until you have tried copper and Stainless Steel picks, you really won't get it. He didn't break strings either, and those copper picks will slice through strings like melted butter. Seriously.... and don't put them in your mouth. Learn to hold the pick in the crook of your middle finger. Ed was harsh in the beginning. He lightened up as he got older. I'm gonna look for some of your later covers. I see this was quite a while back. I'm sure you've got it by now.....
I have the Intruder guitar that was painted like Eddie's Strat I call mine the FrankIntruder. It has the double black pups that Meanstreet makes and they are super awesome. I am having my wolfgang painted up like the Frankinstrat right now by them and will have the zebra pups and I'm sure that thing will rock out.

Yeah... I picked up on the timing being off too in spots. But seriously, great version! It's funny how some players can lay a song out but have issues with keeping time; I read about players having that particular affliction apparently ending up being a "career" hindrance when bands were searching for a solid guitarist; Not to say William has that particular "affliction" as a habit as this is the first song I've heard him play. Timing is close enough where it seems curable or possibly a fluke on the song (My timing is excellent except "Panama" throws me just a bit sometimes) but William, you got chops! Super good playing ^5 !

Nice rhythm dude, everyone wants to "shred". As a bassist nothing is more frustrating than a mosquito‐pick guitarist only focused on solos and not practicing on strong rhythm. Awesome job dude!!

Dude I love the way you play, Eddie's the reason I started playing back in the 80s , but kids and a wife put that on hold, but man you rocked that cover, get a rocker wig and wear a red and white overalls, and you could bring EVH back to life.
