    Hey Mel,
This is a very powerful video. You have a lot of people who are in your corner and who support you, both close to home & all over the world. Literally all over the world, think about that for a minute. That's how large of an impact you have made, you are worth it & you bring more to the table than anybody will ever be able to measure. I for one, value your friendship immensely & if you ever need anything you know my wife & I will always be there. We both miss you. Keep fighting the good fight.
I appreciate everything you do. You're the best.

Gahhhh Tech. You truly don’t know the impact you’ve had on my life. I have so much to thank you for. Please know that you are changing lives with sharing your knowledge and helping people be great. I value and am listening to everything you’re teaching me about money both in business and personal finance. Never have I wanted to learn as much as I do right now.
      Thank you my friend 🤜🤛

I don't know exactly why, but Tech's comment made me tear up. He's just a good caring person, and I'm happy he's in your life. I think you've hit upon a wonderful subject to talk about... money! I don't know what investing looks like in Australia, but that's what Google is for. I hope you look into that. On a smaller scale, you should also consider throwing a small amount into cryptocurrency. A small amount into some high risk crypto can result in life changing money. Other investments can center on blue chip companies. Everyone should invest. Do the research and decide on a schedule for investing, maybe weekly, bi-weekly, or monthly. It's called DCA, an acronym for Dollar Cost Averaging. This way, regardless of the current cost of your investments, you will buy when it's low and also when it's high, and it will average out. The most important thing to know about money is to PAY YOURSELF FIRST. Before the bills, before entertainment, pay yourself first. If you do it last, I can promise there will be multiple reasons why you can't that week, or month. Do it first and it will always happen. Don't burden yourself with credit card debt. The more you learn, the more you know, the more you'll grow. Love you ❤❤❤

Mel you will make it. My first marriage lasted 13 years. My wife said she didn't want to be married to me anymore and asked me to leave. I took my bed and stereo. Then I met Patty, my second wife. We where married 32 years. Together we had an Ebay store. I lost her to cancer a year and a half ago. Sitting alone in a 4 bedroom home, where do I go from here. I had my stuff but I wanted Patty. Then along came Anne. I dated her 51 years ago in high school. Now she fills my life. I believe God brought Tom in your life for a reason! Surround yourself with family and friends. The road is bumpy and sometimes rough but there is light at the end of the tunnel.

My husband of 24 years abruptly left without warning Jan 2018. I was 59. I actually thought I was going to die due to the blindside. Like you, I had to completely start over. Good thing I knew how to do it from previous tragedies in my life. I had a few “starts from nothing” in my life. This time though, I moved forward in a solid relationship with God. I didn’t have to struggle as I have a good career. Fast forward 6 years - I’m perfectly fine. I listened to Gloria Gaynor “I Will Survive” sung it on the top of my lungs for the first few months. You will survive! You have your children. You’re still young. This is your chance to do life your way. You might feel lost right now. Unsure of yourself, your decisions. Feelings of loss are pervasive. Feelings of rejection unshakable at times. Grief comes in waves 🌊 and demands your complete attention when you least expect it. Large task ahead of you, but when you find smooth sailing one day - you’ll be so grateful-to yourself and the process. You’ll be amazed & proud who you are, and of your accomplishments. Lean on those you love & who love you. Expect that it will take some time. This is different than a death - yet the same. Allow grief. If you shut it down - it will just come out harder & uglier at some other time. You’ve been part of a couple for 2.5 decades - now you get to do things your way. You’re going to LOVE the new you! ❤

Mel, I understand how you feel. My mom kind of went through what you're going through. She was 46 years old when my dad died of a massive heart attack at 52. They had 5 kids and four of us were married and out of the house and she had my 15-year-old brother left to raise on her own. Mind you my mom had never had a full-time job outside the house. She was devasted and didn't know where to start. She only had a 7th grade education. A neighbor helped her get a job at the hospital where she worked as a nurse's aide, and I talked her into taking a night class to get her GED. She had to learn all the shorthand terms for drugs to administer to patients. It was a lot, but I helped her study until she got it down. She kept saying she wasn't smart enough to get a full-time job because of her education level. I told her you have raised 5 kids. That takes skills that you've learned and applied to everyday living that you can use on a job. You have to budget your money to pay bills, to buy groceries and gas for the car. You know how to multitask to get several things done at once. (Clean house, wash clothes, wash dishes prepare and cook meals, etc.) You've had to manage 5 kids - keep them going by scheduling all the things they are involved in - which means you know how to manage your day and people. After telling her all of this she sat back and reevaluated her life skills and realized she had a lot to offer someone in a full-time job. She didn't have to work long though because she met a really nice man who was widowed, and they got married within a year and he told her she could quit her job which she did promptly! 😂 By the way they had 35 years together before she passed away. I'm just telling you all of this because you are so much more ahead of her in your life and in your business than where she started, and I know you're going to make it. I know it's scary and seems impossible, but you are strong, and you can do this!! Good Luck in your future endeavors and I'm looking forward to watching more videos from you about all of your trials and tribulations - because if any of us live long enough that's what we all go through, and it's called life. You will have sad times and happy times and I pray you enjoy the journey along the way. Like some of the other responses say if you need to vent because you've had a hard day, or something didn't go as planned that's alright because we're here for you anytime.!!!

Then my brother died in 2020 and had to move to be closer to my mom. 2 years later I met who I thought was the love of my life. January 15, 2022 was our first date. Wonderful year. Then came 2023. I never thought anything would be worse than 2020. 2023 I was diagnosed with Breast Cancer. My job went south. My relationship broke up. Didn't see any of that coming. Started a new job at the end of 2023 and moved in 2024. Health is getting better. Job is challenging so it's taking up all my time. New church. New friends plus my ride or die friends. I can only say welcome to the adventure!! And then, just remember we get what we focus on so "stop" turns into "continue" whereas "This is what I will DO" turns into more doing (what do you think about when I say "DON'T think about a banana"). It also doesn't mean you have to always start big. Small steps allow you to learn and make course corrections. The group also helps shorten the learning curve. The one thing I have learned about business is that there will be great up's and hard down's, but if you hang with it and give yourself a little grace from time to time you'll find it was worth it!!

Thanks for sharing and being vulnerable with us. In my life I have learned that many people start over and/or reinvent themselves in many different ways (divorce, lost job, fed up in general). That cat is also absolutely beautiful. I love your new place too & I'm so excited to see how you decorate, get settled into it and make it your own. You are an inspiration. I want to also say that youre not starting from scratch. It may seem like it materialistically but you have experience, you have knowledge & youre able to retain new knowledge & tomorrow will be easier then today. You've got this ❤

I got divorced after 13 years of marriage. Apparently my now ex was having affair for 2 years. It’s took me two years of a mind fog to break out of my rut. Running and mountain biking saved me. Ladies!! We women are stronger, smarter, and oh so brave. I left a 20 marriage with four young boys, three of which are mine and one nephew. It was tough. We lived in a two bedroom duplex, and I had zero furniture. I'm now 61 yrs old, boys are grown with their own families. Guess what? We all survived. It was tough, but we had a great time sleeping in the living room watching movies. We all became so close. I miss those days. We had nothing, no money, no furniture. But, we laughed and cried. But, we survived!! Young lady, give yourself some credit. You left to live a life deserved! You will be fine.

Hey there! Not sure of your exact story, but I've totally been there. I had to start over at age 42. It was scary! I was married for 19 years, had 2 children, and left in a financial mess. I worked 4 jobs the first year until I could get on my feet. It was an emotional rollercoaster. The first year is the hardest, but it will get easier. It is a new life, but it can be great! I made a point to make some new memories with my kids and family and do things not tied to my ex. Like, going places we never went. I kept the house. I sold just about everything in it to pay bills and when I could I replaced items one at a time. The joy in that was making the house into just mine and my kids house, sort of removing my ex in some way. I was honest with my kids. They knew things were going to be tough for a while, but wow how we grew closer through those hard times. No we didn't get to go out very much, but we played games, went on hikes and honestly created some great memories and laughed along the way. We would even joke and laugh about the situation also crying at times just never thought I would have gotten divorced. It's been 12 years now. I found a wonderful man to share my life with and I'm super happy. I'm not sure of your religious beliefs, but I totally had faith that God would take care of me and my girls. When I felt alone I knew I could talk to him and receive comfort. Sorry this was so long. At that time in my life I didn't have any family or friends that had been divorced so having a person that understood would have been nice to talk to. I will pray for you on this new adventure. I'm from Georgia, U.S.

I got divorced when I was 29. I thought even if I lived in a studio apartment it was something I had to do. I eventually bought a house all on my own. I didn't have a lot so I decorated it with yard sale finds. I bought power saws and tools from yard sales too to do renovations. You have a talent for finding deals already, so you can just look beyond the books at the thrifts for a while to find furniture and art....and you won't have to consult with anyone about what they like. It's all about what you like! It's a blank slate for you to design!

Mel-I have enjoyed watching your videos so much and am an eBay reseller too but on a very small scale. My first marriage lasted 28 years and was not a good one. I had four children and they are still suffering from that war they had to grow up in. I was so happy when I finally was able to divorce. It took me a lot of years to make slow but steady changes to get to that point. After that I wanted to experience marriage to a good man who loved me and so I went to online dating sites and after not too many months met someone who was the type of man I wanted. We did have a long distance relationship for a while. We married when I was 50 and now I’m 62 and feeling so grateful for the life I now have! I wish the best for you and you have many viewers who wish the best for you too. You are getting to your best life day by day!

It’s not silly to want your kitchen items at all. In my culture they say the kitchen (everything in it) belongs to the wife. If she leaves she takes her kitchen with her. If she passes everything in the kitchen is handed over to her family and it’s precisely because of the reasons you’ve given. So your feelings are totally valid.
Wishing you love and light in this new journey 🌻

One day, one book, one moment at a time… If you let yourself think about it all too much, dwell too much. It can feel so overwhelming. But if you just tell yourself, I don't have to do anything in any moment…but this one thing… You don't have a whole room to pack up, just this ONE item at a time. And use that mentality in everything, you will arrive at your destination. You will find the light at the end of every tunnel, even if you can't see it. Just one step at a time.

Hang in there Mel - you got this! I divorced about 2 years ago, my first time on my own, after being with my husband for 18 years. I'm 35 now, starting over, and I'm still struggling to figure things out. We can do it, we are worth it

Let's see. I started over (for various reasons) at 22, then at 24, then at around 30, then at 40, then at 48, then at 55, and now again at 60. It's hard, I know, but it shows us we're more resilient than we think we are. You have such a bright, can-do spirit that I have every faith you'll achieve what you want to achieve. (And it's okay to show us these more vulnerable videos. They're real, so thank you.)

YOU GOT THIS, YOU CAN DO THIS. YOU CAN GET THROUGH THIS.

Feeling the same. This isn't how I thought my life would go and where I'd be at 47. At present still co-living with ex. But I imagine once me and my 8 year old move out and into our our place it will feel extremely weird and like something is missing. I'm only working part time due to my daughter being in primary school. So money will be very very tight. Not feeling secure about the future is scary...and lonely. We'll get there. I feel your pain. 🌻
