It's great having Michelle in the overseas fan family. I know it's much more challenging than it might seem to learn someone else's guitar part, especially when that someone is Kanami. Thanks for putting out the word about Michelle, Wave!
2 things.... One: I vote Michelle starts a Band-Maid cover band. When bands start to have cover bands that tour you know that band has made their mark permeant.
Second... This song, as amazing and difficult as it is to PLAY, is secondary to the COMPOSITION of this song. Top players can perform it, but nobody except KANAMI could WRITE THIS. I bet Michelle would agree.

Michelle has done a few BAND-MAID covers. She's very good. I notice her fret work on FROM NOW ON is a bit different from Kanami's from time to time but, Michelle has the feel, I think. Nice reaction, sir.
Good catch! I realized after I posted this, but Michelle is playing with 22 frets and Kanami uses 24 frets on this song!

I think it warms Kanami's heart a little extra when she saw and heard, which I'm sure she did, Michelle's cover.
Would be cool if Kanami sends her a little letter with 10 plectrums like the one she got at the gig. No words needed.
And you can see the fretboard the whole time!
I met Michelle and her family at the San Francisco show! She and her family were incredibly nice!
The nearest guitar tone to Kanami in a song that I have ever heard in a cover. She deserves Kanami's pick. The sound on her own site is much better and in this video it might be slightly out of sync. You didn't play the video to the end and see Kanami's pick in her guitar strings, implying that she used it maybe.
There's plenty of guitarists that can out-shred Kanami. Show me a great shredder and I'll show you one faster. (It'll probably be an 8-12 year-old Japanese girl ;-) But it's Kanami's composition of the song to begin with, and then the phrasing, structure, creative riffs and solos that so uniquely fit that composition that place her among the best guitarists / composers in rock music... imo.
Michelle is beginning to stand on mighty tall shoulders and that, along with her work ethic, will payoff in the future with her own unique compositions and playing we can -- and will -- all rave about. Thx, Wave!

Oh no, you missed the very end of the video when Michelle hang her pick on the guitar strings. She played with Kanami’s pick (not the RUclips user 😅) all along! She really deserves that pick and Kanami’s approval
