great tutorial as always!! likkkeeee!!! if i want to add sound effect for the door when it close and open, where will be the better place to add? add to the event interaction use filpflop to call out or directly to add to the custom event we create for the door?))
if you open up the reference viewer, you will see that the door has access to all of the character class functions, and has inherited all of the character's reference. Take a look at the door's size map also. This is one of the major problems with casting. Consider using and interface. Another thing is to not use special characters in your variable name. (?) use bIsOpen (unreal standard). For animation for the door use the sequencer. (new tech) Timelines are very old.
If the mesh is static mesh and I was to remove the door and replace my own door but it’s not removing the door in the level …it’s constant in the place and can’t be deleted so I can add my door rather then a static door? …can you please please make a video of this …I have only two weeks to submit the project please make a video please
@@saraalobaidli you should be able to easily swap out the meshes for the door. But you need to make sure that they pivot point and direction are the same as the example or else you will likely run into issues.
i think what would be cool is to add a animation when you open the door and close the door that would be a cool thing to add because i do kinda suck with animations 😅
Yeah, I might show some ways I've seen this done. The problem is, it always is a bit janky. Unless you are standing in the right spot, there is often a "slide into place" that happens or the ik doesn't work perfectly. So typically, I choose to not animate the hands or character for these, but I can look into some other options
@@HALbotStudios ooh i see yeahh not a big problem tho if it slide into place and all i might just dont use animations but maybe animations for a flashlight do you think thats easy to do ? like equip flashlight, idle and all of that i do have flashlight animations but like i said im really bad with animations 😂

casting on door blueprint is efficient way to handle all those actions?
To get the player reference? Yeah, it's totally fine
