Hi Leslie I’m glad to hear from you. The reason why I subscribed to your channel is I wanted to see how far you got with your trips in the van. You are one of those that have inspired me to build my 2005 Toyota Sienna into a camper van so keep those videos coming whether it’s about your travels or your Airbnb experiences I look forward to those.

I’d enjoy I do on Airbnb & luxury rentals and also anything you would do different on your next build or things you love about your current van! Take care of you and continue to heal ❤

@@TheVanThatGotAway Hey Leslie, I framed out the rear storage and build the bed. I know have to modify the framing to create the fold up chair. I was rushed to finish the bed platform as I needed it for a camping reservation. I have the proverbial sliding door issues which I am going to focus on first... Getting in and out of the interior through the front seats will not do. (GRIN). I have solar and 300w battery pack, stove, water storage and other interior "stuff" and after I get the doors working properly, I will complete the interior design,. The biggest obstacle was the bed design. I have that solved and will build around the remaining space. I plan on traveling with my camera gear and I run an online store, so I need "space to work" which right now, will also serve as the kitchen.... I think. HAHAHA.
My plan is to also have a 6 person tent for stays that are more than 2 days. I will basically live in the van for overnight stays.

It is great to hear an update from you. I am definitely interested in hearing more about your travels. Especially in Mexico (and also Canada if you happen to go there). Most of the vanlife travelers that I follow are either in the larger Sprinter-type vans when they go to Mexico, or they are in minivans but only go within the U.S. It is great to see people who push outside the comfort zone of the country they live in to travel far and away, making it work in their minivan. Best of luck and safety to you as you travel.

Thanks for the catch-up! I was wondering where you had disappeared to. I too wouldn't say that the only star of your videos is the van. As I mentioned previously, I love your practical and minimalist approach to traveling in a van. So many of the "van life" videos here on YT are focused on people who want to live in their vans and while that's interesting, is not really applicable to folks like my hubby and me. We call ourselves "road trippers" (that sounds rather Mad Max-ish eh? LOL). I'd be interested in seeing how you use your van while on one of your adventures. In one of your previous videos, you said you had an awning but took it off. We got one for our van this past summer and found it practical when we did stay in a campground for a couple of days. Seeing how you actually use your van would be cool. Do you only cook outside? Do you have any fast, easy meals you like to make on the road? What do you do on a rainy day? Where do you store muddy boots/shoes? How do you keep the inside relatively clean? Your favourite things for the van or your trips. Stuff like that. I'm looking forward to seeing the improvements and modifications you've made. Videos explaining what you started out with and what you changed and why would be cool. I think you are very interesting and probably have more to say than you realize. Your videos have been inspiring to me and I share them with my hubby. Thank you again for sharing with us! Cheers!
