      to spread Islam and ensure the words of the Qur'an that state Islam will be the last religion; straight away that is an incitement of violence, but you must remember Islam is a toxic and barbaric ideology. they largely move here as an act of creeping islam - a modem of warfare that will ensure that within centuries of time, Islam will gradually tighten it's grip of conquest.

    Suspicious as I am of the BBC and the mainstream media as a whole these days, I have to say that Andrew Neil is very good at what he does. He gives each guest plenty of opportunity to express their views and defend their position, but he doesn't pull any punches and isn't afraid to ask the difficult questions. There are still good people at the Beeb, but this overarching PC, lefty-liberal bias has got to go if they're ever going to regain viewers' trust. I'd happily pay the license fee if all BBC journalists/interviewers followed Neil's example... Sadly that's probably not going to happen.

    Oil and Water don't mix either. Muslims were driven out of Europe for a reason. It is a beautiful thing for them to live as they like and worship as they like but the problem is. They don't accept or allow others to do the same. I wish we could find a perfect and agreeable solution but it always comes back to the analogy. Oil and Water don't Mix.

      Yes, and if we shut Guantanamo ISIS would realise what they've been doing is wrong and join us in a giant conga line around the world celebrating peace and love.
      We should shut Guantanamo, that's true, but the idea that ISIS would then drop their weapons and start singing Kumbayah and smoking dope...do me a favour. That'd be a moronic piece of wishful thinking if it came from Jeremy Corbyn or Russell Brand, but coming from Qureshi, a guy who's okay with pelting women to death with rocks if they stray from their husband, it's just bad comedy.

    Asim - "You cannot simply conflate issues of theology and religion with violence on the streets of London."Who said you can't? You can if that violence is carried out by Muslims who are merely following what that theology and religion actually instruct them to do.Asim - "I don't know of anywhere Sharia law is being practiced...you have to give me an example of where Sharia law is being practiced correctly."
    Yes, Andrew, it was a weasel answer he gave to you. That's all you will get from these Muslim apologists. However, you could have just pointed to Saudi Arabia, Sudan, Somalia etc., but of an assurance, Asim would have said "they are not practicing it properly". The bottom line, however, is that the Islamists in these countries are doing what is written in the Qur'an and Hadith. Why are these Islamist shills tolerated? Andrew Neil was right to deal with him in this way, and so should everyone else...when they are not jumping up onto the fake moral high-ground of "political correctness" in defence of Islam.Europeans and Americans have made the grave error of concluding what Islam is, based on the Westernised and hemmed in examples we have had here over the past half decade. However, they are not representative of the true teachings and agendas of Islam. Only once they gain critical mass in a region does the darker side of Islam show...when there are enough of them to make an impact. Again, this can be understood by anyone who cares to look into the history and spread of Islam. Just look at the actions of those Muslims from the Middle-east and North Africa who have spread into Europe in the past five or so years...they come from regions where Sharia law is a norm and we can see what fruit it produces.

  • @oblivionzzzmike

    Not English native here so give me some credit for a moment. Muslims have a different set of values from the West. Both will always succumb to stubbornness to defend their own perspective, ignoring the other's by means of "arguments" (read excuses). Christianity was a problem before, now the problem seems to be Islam (read intolerance of one another is the real problem). Now, for the sake of argument let's say that laws of nature suggest that as long as humans exist(ed) it is certain that at least 1% of the population was/will be problematic, oscillating towards extremism regardless of religion and culture. West with mass shootings, serial killers, cynical and ridiculous concepts such as "almost surgical and collateral free bombing campaigns" :), etc... and non-Western ones with...well you know...extreme religious views and unnatural approach to life, Islam, ISIS, terrorism, totalitarian regimes...you name it :). Thing is, despite the problems mentioned above, today's global economical and political order/force gravitates unstoppably toward worldwide free trade, free movement, free competitiveness, thus practically impossible border control and cultural isolation..so that option is out of the question. We also have to leave out the 1% psychotics mentioned above for it will always be a constant. To conclude, I personally say religion is the problem. But since 95% of the modern world is still religious in some scale or another, there is little to no possibility completely abolishing it. Unfortunately it's the only way out of endlessly killing each other. So somebody better come out with an end solution to this centuries long equation otherwise we are doomed...fucked...you name it.

    • @amisner2k
      @amisner2k 8 лет назад +5

      I'm not religious, but don't forget that there are still religions that are actually peaceful. Have you heard of Jainism? When I was younger, I used to think religion was the root of all problems and if everyone was non-religious there wouldn't be the bloodshed and violence we've had this whole time. Unfortunately, that's just not the case, for even the non-religious can have the same propensity as anyone else to take advantage of others. We all have within us the capability to take advantage of others and anyone can convince others to come together into some new ideology for either better or worse. What's important is that we discern for ourselves what is right or wrong, do unto others what we would have done to us, and always question everything.
      Anyway, just wanted to say that I agree with your comment and I wanted to weigh in on it a bit. It fills me with hope when I see comments like yours, knowing that I'm not alone. Thank you.

    at around 09:00 is where i want to beat Asim into a bloody mess... He refuses to answer a simple question with a yes or no, and instead he walks around the question with an answer to something completely different..
    And the interviewer was an idiot, he should've remained steadfast and repeated the question.. Yes or no.

    I'm no Arabic linguist, but as I understand it, the word "jihad" means aggressive, belligerent physical warfare against non-Muslims in order to spread Islam. The word DOES have other, much less threatening meanings, but if you intend one of those meanings to be taken, you have to specify. Warfare is the default meaning of the word. Dodging around with other translations is almost invariably taqqia
