Doug's Gym, one of oldest in U.S., closing after 55 years

Doug Eidd thought his gym would only last for a few years when it opened in 1962. Many people are thankful he was wrong--and thankful he never changed the original look, with creaky wood floors, dim lighting, and no air conditioning providing an authentic old-school feel that drew everyone from regular folk to pro wrestlers to the late Gregory Hines.
