The J-20 is a 5th Generation Stealth Fighter Jet not a 4th.
According to Chinese and American standards, the J20 and F22 are the fourth generation fighter jets. J10, J16, F15, and F16 are third-generation fighter jets.

Only the J20 equipped with WS-15S engines is a standard fourth generation fighter jet. Without the WS15S, the J20 would not meet the design specifications for cruise control at Mach 1.8 without additional power, nor would it reach the standard maximum speed of Mach 2.8. We cannot achieve a design range of 5500 kilometers. I have doubts about how many standard version J20s are in service. If the engine is not up to standard, the J20 cannot be called a 4th generation fighter jet.
Sure it can. Super cruise is not the only factor and is not even the most important ones. Stealth and networked communications and other advanced electronics and avionics are.
