Overpriced and poor customer support. Us Laws only allow 28MPH top speed from motor in class 3. 20MPH C lass 2.

One feature Juiced e-bikes have others should copy is the ability to switch between torque sensor and cadence sensor modes. Use the torque sensor mode for when you want more control or more natural feel, use cadence sensor mode for when you want the motor to do the bulk of the work, such as when you’re tired, injured, or towing heavy cargo. Any torque sensor can be used as a cadence sensor. All that’s needed is for the software to interpret any load above a set threshold as pedal movement, thus emulating a cadence sensor.

I got a ripcurrent s step-through for 1299. The bike is a beast and so much fun to ride. Love the torque sensor.

Love commuting to work on my HyperScorpion. The almost 100 lb weight takes some time to get used to, but makes it feel very stable at 25-30 mph.

@@molotovskaterbrought it for my son but find myself stealing it for work when I can and find myself depressed when I’m not on it going to work . Never enjoyed riding to work into I got this bike .. now I gotta a 7k bike coming for myself n I can’t wait .. until then I’ll keep stealing his 😂. The major down side is the stock battery charger .. a full battery charger takes 8hrs

Elevators that stop if they detect an e-bike battery? Either their batteries are total garbage, or they are paranoid. Last year, 21,800 people died from space heaters, 19,000 died from taking baths, 6 died from e-bike fires. Certify batteries and ban the dangerous ones. The only reason to make dangerous ones is just to be cheap.
Cadence sensors being on/off switches is an oversimplification, unless the bike is cheap. They can be programmed to be quick, engage smoothly, and automatically adjust to give you extra power on startups and climbing hills. Torque sensing is more natural, but an observation I've made after group rides with thousands of bikes, is that the riders with torque sensors are the ones who struggle most with hills. I do like Juiced bikes and have always appreciated their design and quality. A friend of mine has two of them; a Hyper Scorpion and a HyperScrambler 2, and the HyperScrambler 2 in race mode can almost keep up with my RadMini. Thanks for the video!

There’s a difference between “UL certified” and “Listed to a UL standard by SGS”. “UL Certified “ means UL did the work too. (as well as writing the standard)
    Former UL engineer here.

What are the benefits/differences of each? We have TUV Rheinland testing to UL and NYC is accepting them under the regulations.

As a owner of Juiced Scorpion bike I would give the bike 7/10 and the company also a 7/10. I feel like the company is not every community oriented like other e-bike brands. In my city (which is pretty large) I see more S73, Sur Ron’s, and Rad, Ariel Riders than I do Juiced Bikes. Most of the accessories they release for the Scorpion model are only geared for the higher end Hyper model. They hardly release accessories for the entry level scorpion model (which is what I have). Even reaching out for support most of the time I get answers for the hyper model after telling them several times I have the OG Scorpio model. Those tires that come on the bike 5/10. That 5mm thickness means nothing if you get a flat from a little piece of glass or stick. They don’t sell replacement parts most things that could easily be replaced (like grips, handlebar, etc). My front suspension is stuck. I no longer have front suspension. You would think they would sell a replacement part. Wrong they don’t. They don’t even have the grips that come on the bike on the site. They have to send me an invoice link to pay for them.

Heck even their quoted range for the batteries are little misleading. I get no where near the “estimated 45 miles I should get based on WH/M. I’m only getting about 36 miles. They should be testing those ranges with both tires (street and knobby). I asked customer service if they knew and of course they didn’t.

Eh, I love them for commuting. I specifically went for the ripcurrent s because it uses standard parts that are easy to replace. Pretty much any e-moped style bike has the issues you mention, it's not a juiced specific thing.

I got the Hyperscorpion because I needed a low seat so I could rest my feet on the ground when stopped (short legs). I was very surprised by how much I like pedaling it.

So he's my question to you guys. Did you guys notice any jerky throttle on the RipRacer? I've not ridden the Hyperscorpion but the Revv1 is the same, jerky throttle.
I just rode a Niu Uqi which is very similar power wise to the Hyperscorpion (and Revv1) and the throttle is smooth as silk.

I own a Juiced Ripcurrent S. Their components are cheap Chinese knockoffs and not possible to repair. Plan to upgrade/replace parts. Also, they have notoriously poor customer service. Big batteries and torque sensor are the best points.

How do Juiced e-bikes manage power when in cadence sensor mode? Does each PAS level correspond to a speed the bike tries to get to or an amount of power sent to the motor?
The reason I ask is the former has caused me to lose control of an ebike at times due to the sudden surge of power when starting out, once making me fall off the bike (fortunately at a low speed). I recently got a Lectric XPedition, which does the latter, and I find it much easier to control, though not as easily as an ebike with a torque sensor.

My front tire is rubbing on my new Juiced RipRacer. Almost like the brake is slightly on. The wheel does not spin. Do I just need to ride to break it in? Calliper does not seam to be centered on rotor and getting worse.
