I own this bike, let me correct some of the things that are said. A more realistic range is 60 miles with pedal assist. I assume they did their tests in a flat area to come up with more, but in an average hilly area it is closer to 60 miles (give or take how big the hills are). The amazing brakes they discuss are not.... I have a 1600cc motorcycle that stops from the same speed in half the time, that is a huge weight difference. This is not a knock on the bike, it is calling out the reviewer for being less than honest. I think the stop times on the big are more than sufficient, but not what he described if you are at speed. The combination of torque and cadence sensing is great, but can be weird if you are used to one or the other. My best suggestion is just to take it to a safe place and try moving around in mid gear, once comfortable you are good. I have never used the throttle, sorry, cannot comment on that.
I have this and do tons of Uber eats and doordash I have close to 3000 miles on mines had for close to 3 years thanks juice just brought the lycic cycle can't wait for my new bike to arrive
@Anass En naji I have duel battery so it's hard to really tell but I can say I get over 20 with 1 really depends on weather and how much im using the throttle
I just bought a very slightly used Yamaha 155cc scooter for$2100 Lots more storage and weather protection 80mpg and it will do 70 .Unless you can't get a licence I think this is the way to go till prices come down but I don't think prices are ever coming back down
You can take the hyper on Bart (CA public transportation) too with back up battery on rear rack (in parallel) 30 ah 52 v you get 50-60 miles-more if you stay off the throttle for some of the ride. Charge cost is 15-20 cents CA public utility PG&E. Storage saddle bags on mine and Viking motorcycle top bag on top of Pelican case that holds my back up battery. Works for me.
I really want to like this bike but under close examination it scares me. For example, just look at those weld points at 1:17, they look like a 10 year old did them. I've purchased a number of scooters, go-karts and electric skate boards from China and there have always been quality control issues when it comes to paint, welds, wireing & brake components. In some cases there was complete failure after just 10-20 miles of riding. Again, I really want to like this bike, it checks off all of the boxes for me but I fear after reading some of the other on-line posts that it will just wind up falling apart on me and this is a lot of money to have that happen.
I’ve had one for one year. You can definitely tell it’s from China, there are many quality issues, like characters being upside down, improperly wrapped wires, shitty welding, and the front break is a tornado siren! But I’ve used the hell out of it and not had any issue due to the bike itself, despite my rough treatment and lack of maintenance. Also the battery is a LIE! You get maybe 20miles on a good day.
I can also say that my Juiced Scorpion I've owned since March of this year and have put 370 miles on it. I've had no issues with reliability and love the bike.
I purchased a new Hyperscorpion Express a year ago. Before tax the price was $2900. I agree with Dantespop's comments. In addition, the chain jumping off the front chain ring is a huge problem. Hit any bump while in a high gear and the chain jumps and then jams into the front chain guard. Posts on the subject suggest adjusting the rear derailleur to tighten the chain slack, replacing the derailleur with better quality and replacing the front chain ring with Dropstop Chainring by Wolf Tooth. I can only speak to tightening the chain slack, which helps a bit but falls far short of a complete fix. I still love the bike but it's my first e-bike. My biggest and unforgivable issue is with the company, Juiced Bikes. The customer service for me was not good. They did not agree chain jumping is a defect but rather said it is a characteristic that comes with the positive feature of having a wide gear range. Boo.
I’ve had mine 2 years and put 7000 miles on it no issues, no problems. I also have a ScorpionX that needed a new motor after 400 miles (Hall sensor issue). Juiced paid for wheel and motor send to them replaced the motor sent it back with some goodies. I have a 2018 Rad Power Bike Rad Mini and the welds look the same as on the Juiced. Welds are fine on both bikes and I run these bikes. Yeah breaks are always an issue with all these bikes they squeal. Got to know how to fix them or up grade which I did. Motors on the Super 73’s have issues. All these bikes have issues all of them. Take the good with the bad absolutely and foe me Juiced bikes have more features that work for me.
We have two of them. I went on to Uncle Fjester youtube page and added another battery. Without pedal assist in Race mode, I went 31 miles on the aux battery, never touched the stock battery for power.
I pedal all the time riding in race mode 25-30 mph and I only get about 20 miles with 1 bar left. I weigh about 240 lbs. so that may make a difference, but 70 miles, no way.
I purchased this bike 1yr ago and I would not recommend it. After 14 months it broke due to electric component failure. Im an avonics specalist with a major airline and so have training and experiance working with electrical components and systems. This is build with cheap parts in China. Specifically the battery terminals and connections are unsafe and will burn which is a mjor safety concern. Mine bike failed and Juiced bikes was even aware of the manufacturing flaw but took no steps to fix it. Please see other youtube videos documenting this dangerous issue.
2:48. "This is an issue to bring in cars, but you can drive to your destinaition on the ebike". What happens if you are going super far out of the mile range on this ebike? That isn't accurate
@@yu69in oh. I rode one and it seemed great but I was worried if I got one there would be problems with the pieces. This isn't the worst ebike though. HyperScorpion is $1899 right now!
Somebody needs to build solid tires for all these E bikes. Because fixing flats sucks.

the problem I had with this bike, after about 1.5 years, the battery to bike connecter burned out and quit working

What's the name of the charging port that the Juiced Hyper Scorpion comes with ?
Still worth it in 2023? Found one on marketplace for under 1k
How many miles were on it? I’m trying to buy one right now just trying to compare prices and mileage
Good review, thanks
This reviews are very cool.
I wouldn't want my knees going so high. Cannot generate power and I plan on doing some pedaling
Peddling is uncomfortable, so you'll end up using the throttle mostly.
@@alamorides4485
I see. Watching reviews that's what it looks like and the basic model is really hard to pedal.
Does it really go 70 miles in 20 miles an hour?? Or 10 miles an hour ? For that Price
Nope. Maybe less than half that on throttle. Peddling is so uncomfortable, that you'll soon realize you've stopped peddling.
I pedal all the time riding in race mode 25-30 mph and I only get about 20 miles with 1 bar left.
