- Time for the third part of our European Road Trip as we leave the Rhine and head deeper into Germany... The Black Forest conjures up so many stories and images, this week we find out if it lives up to it's name!
Join us as we enter the forest, walk amongst the tree tops and continue our search of the finest European beer, breweries, cheese and wine and see where we head to next... No plans, decide as we go, the best type of trip!

Hi both - we watched your video last week and have now set off on our own van tour to Lake Bled. As our second stop was only 30 minutes from Bad Wildbad - we were inspired by your visit to the Treetop Walk - very hot today and busy but really enjoyed it. Now enjoying the local beers too. Nice to see authentic & honest version of van life, local shopping, making food as most would ( no sponsorship fro food like some other channel ) so the real experience driving, parking, vanning and eating on the move

We did a video at Landmark in Carrbridge recently! The treetop walk is awesome. Fantastic vid again, this awning straps are a great idea, I need to buy some.
Ah thank you! That's the one although looking at the website it's changed quite a bit 😂👍 will check out your video it looks huge now there but also fun! Straps were a game changer for us, didn't use the awning much until we got them and they keep it well and truly secure 👍

Thank you 🥰 the forest area was dog friendly but we didn't notice any dogs on the trams sorry, we kept saying how much Mollie would like it but maybe in the cooler months as it was 30-34 degrees when we were there 😁👍

Thank you both 🥰 yes the forest was amazing at night, eerily quiet and then suddenly animal noises, it was fun trying to identify what we could hear although one was definitely a snoring camper 😂
Wow, this is turning in to a fab trip. That wood mill would have a huge fence around it in most parts of the UK and the beers look fantastic, I was just thinking about putting Grolsch bottle tops on my laces as Caroline said it😂😂Hats off to the heights you guys tackled, I couldn't do it, had a meeting in a tall Manchester tower with floor to ceiling glass a few years ago, I was absolutely terrified and couldn't go near the windows😰😰. Vans in next week for towbar so we can take bikes, a mistake I made on our first camper van, being on a site in Spain having to walk 30 mins every day to the supermarket rather than break camp. You are so right! There was saw dust everywhere and the health and safety people in the UK would have a fit 😂 the heights were interesting, especially on the suspension bridge as you could see down through the floor, plus it was swaying and then you had to pass people too 😬 Beers were very good indeed on this part of the trip, there will be a roundup at the end to select the best beers 👍😁
Great vlog folks. Agree about the cash in Germany. We were caught out in Bamberg having no cash for a ride and then noticed it for many places. Cash seems to be king for these canny Germans and I can only agree for the way the world is going. Wonder if it’s down to preserving cash or the pressure of recessionary climate?
Thank you 🥰 it was actually nice to pay in cash for a change, more personal once we got used to it and easier to tip, etc. We just had to plan ahead more if running low on cash - definitely think they got that right too 😁👍
Planning on cycling the Black Forest next year with a quick visit to Lake Constance. It looks amazing
That will be amazing on bikes 😍 would love to do that, it's very well catered for cycling of all disciplines and the lakes too 🥰

Aw what a lovely place to live! You must love it there so much 🥰 We would love to return with MTB's and also in the winter for skiing, is there much snow ❄️?
@@VantasticAdventuresMTB‘s definitely is a good idea, you‘ll be in Bad Wildbad so much faster! 😉 There are also some downhill tracks on the Sommerberg if you fancy that. Snow is rare in winter though. You probably would have to try higher up in the Black Forest. The Feldberg is a safe bet. There are some smaller skiing areas throughout the Black Forest though.

Ha ha thanks Brian 😂 Definitely not one for flip flops but stubbornness prevailed over sense, we have many a debate over choice of suitable footwear on our travels 🥰

Ha ha 😂 lots of 🍺 in the one but not our fault as they produced so much locally we had to try them all so they didn't think we were rude 😂🍺🍺🍺 Smokin midge does work in Europe but actually this stop we had enough G&T to bathe in so wasn't required 😂
