finally a dance about cancer that doesn't involve the dancers wearing head scarfs to then rip them off at the end revealing a beautiful head of hair. This is a respectful tribute to those battling cancer

I love how Brooke is in the back doing stuff on the ground until the others come and join her. I've seen people saying it's just an excuse for Abby to put Maddie front and center, but it really contributes to the meaning of the piece. A person with breast cancer may feel like they're alone and tied down, but they have their family and friends supporting them.

I agree. Abby just hates admitting she's wrong, and then fakes up some story. Brooke would be a lot better (she already is but) in comparison if she was dancing with people her age, not 8-12. I think she was 14 going on 15 in this dance.
Exactly. She should've danced with the seniors & gotten a better choreographer bc Abby just put the same moves in over & over again for her
She did also dance with the seniors she danced with the juniors for the show but also danced with the senior group. Kinda like how Payton danced with the seniors but did a few episodes with the juniors for the show.

well obviously I meant prior to her leaving the studio she had danced with the seniors.

I miss the old group so much! (Chloe, Maddie, Paige, Brooke, Mackenzie, Nia, Kendall) That being said, I think Chloe, Paige, and Brooke are much better off away from Abby. They are all such beautiful dancers, and they don't need someone telling them they suck all the time. We love you guys!

This is my favorite dance by far. Not just because it has a good meaning also it is different then the other dances and someone else is being showcased not maddie. Nothing against maddie though it's not her fault. Brooke was the perfect lead for this dance.

Even though Brooke wasn't at the front all the time like Maddie, she really shined, when all the other girls were dancing in front of her, I couldn't take my eyes off her. She deserves more leads (if she was still on the team, miss the Hylands ;-;)

My Grandpa died from cancer in 2012, I remember that day, I was so sad when my mom told me I fell to the ground, for being a 7 year old it was such a hard thing, later that night we went to celebrate him. A few years later at my schools father and daughter dance my dad met another dad named Rodger ,which was my Grandpas name, they had played my grandpa's favorite song there and my dad had told me stories about my Grandpa when my dad was a kid, that night we knew he was watching over us, we always remember him. Papa if you are in heaven right now reading this, I love you.

The simplier the costume the prettier i think the dance is because it shows the girl not the costume you see every beautiful movement and how long their legs are in certain moves it makes the dance real

My friend had a rare bone disease that she was dying from. The doctors thought she would be able to live, but then she got cancer and died. Her mom also died from cancer when my friend was a baby. A few months after my friend died, my next door neighbor died from cancer. He was like a grandfather to me. I will miss them both very much. R.I.P. Addie Moser and Jerry Denoyer

I love the dances where Maddie just smiles because she has such a beautiful smile and it looks so much nicer than her constipated face. I really could not take my eyes off of Nia or Chloe.
Say what you will about Abby, she's an amazing choreographer. Like, for instance, 1:36, was a really good way of showing what the dance was about (as if it wasn't obvious before) without being disrespectful to those who are living with the ribbon. Beutiful dance, and amazing execution. Love you girls!

This dance means a lot to me as my nana died of cancer and illnesses. I love everyone of these girls. Maddie,Chloe,brook.paige,nia,Kendall and I love Mackenzie,kalani and Jojo. I just wish that these girls wouldn't be so compared and hurt. It's not just Abby. Everyone blames Abby and Maddie. Or Abby and Chloe. When really it's Abby and whoever said mom she's fighting with. I say leave the girls out of the drama. And just let them dance
My nana Didn't die of ribbon but, on the first of the year. 89. She was almost 90. When I heard she died at 2-3 am i was heart-broken. And here27 days later reading these comments makes me miss her even more. 😰

There really was something so special and touching about this dance. It didn’t have any of the glam or the drama of the later seasons, just 6 girls in simple costumes who loved to dance sending a heartfelt message. Pure nostalgia watching it now 🥹

This is one of the best dances on the show. Brooke rlly applied herself during this and she absolutely deserved the lead part. She had so much passion before Abby burned her out. It’s horrible that her mentor and dance teacher did that to her.

this hits me hard because i get what abby was going through with her mother. my family and I have survived the pandemic and I'm grateful but recently my dad was diagnosed with cancer and it has been hard to see someone who you have always known to be strong suddenly suffer so so much. I love how this was a respectful tribute to cancer and those going through it.
I like to see Nia dance up front,seem like she dance better. I liked brooke in this as well.

Abby use to have such an amazing team ... I did she hadn't treated those kids like that so that we could still see them together today.
Blaming the mothers is a copout to me because when she was upset with a mom she abused those girls and it wasn't fair or right, let alone mature. She has an office and those cameras are not on 24 /7 . The reason that team fell apart is not a one way street.
When your not happy with a client you pull them to the side and you talk business. Will you always agree on things no but in the end their goals should have been those girls being happy.
Not who is in charge and who gets what solo and how to make sure your favorite stays on top. All the adults on this show lost site of that, and those girls have had to suffer from it.

Brooke danced beautifully, but she showed no emotion at all until the end when everyone was smiling. Other than that, she didn't show any pain nor sorrow. Though, don't go attacking me, she did dance beautifully.

caitxelizabethx that's the thing with Brooke. She rarely uses facial emotions and that's what I love about her because if a bag were placed over her head, you would be able to see it with her body movements. I can't that about every dancer on the team
