Mackenzie is actually very versatile. A lot of people don't realize it though because Abby rarely features her in a style other than acro
she mostly did acro tho, and thats not her fault, its the coreography. mackenzie never gets a proper lyrical solo unless it has loads of acro in it that it could be concidered temporary acro OR its a hand me down, like ‘cry’. i wish for once she could get a proper lyrical solo, all hers, not a hand me down or have tons of acro in it. we could properly see her lyrical potential and judging by the bits she did lyrical in this dance, she can do it just as good as the other girls

this was breathtaking. I'm so impressed with Chloe, this is the best she's done, her emotion, technique, and musicality were flawless! The Maddie, Chloe and Kendall turn at the end were gorgeous.

Dance, dance, dance
Brynn didn't ruin her. Brynn should've been an amazing challenge towards Kendall in getting her technique up, but rather in Season 6 she slumped and it's definitely not because of Brynn. Ashlee and Jill fighting probably had a whole lot to do with that, but Kendall slowly ever so slowly is coming back up.

No one ever talks about how beautiful Payton was in this dance. Her emotion and fluidity was spot on!

I think Payton and Asia need to go, Asia is quite often off in group dances and Payton is too tall, she just loops over them. Bring Brooke and Paige back! I'm surprised that Maddie fell out her turns as well!

Unpopular Opinion: Season 3 had the best group dances because they improved their technique so much, danced together and they weren’t just maddie solos with backup dancers.

My favorite dance of all of dance moms! The music is beautiful and so are the costumes and all of the girls look stunning. I loved the turns that Kendal and Chloe and Maddie did towards the end because they were in sync and all the girls looked so gorgeous out there especially with those costumes!
I've noticed that although Abby doesn't appoint Chloe as the lead in group numbers (since that spot is for Maddie), but often arranges Chloe (opener) to set the mood for the dance and Chloe executes that position very well.

Wow for once I can say that ALL of the girls really drew me in at different times. This was beautiful. And Chloe’s turn at the end was absolutely flawless and perfectly completed.
Peyton pulling on her skirt was very clearly a choreography accent. Pay attention... she flipped.. or "rippled" her skirt on the word "waves" on a perfect downbeat in the music. Beautiful dynamics in this routine. Those little details and nuances are what make contempory/lyrical numbers so amazing.

Unpopular opinion: This is one of Kendall’s best performances in a group dance.

+aaliyah blackwell I can honestly say that you must be biased toward chloe. Payton was the supposed to be the focus because she was in the middle. Maddie was the main focus because she was in the center the whole time. I get that you like chloe so you focus on her but she was and has rarely been the focus of any dance by abby lee. Payton was the biggest and was standing on the board so logically you should of looked at her if you were not a biased chloe fan.
Ahhh...there was no 'one main focus' of this dance.
Chloe started it, then Maddie, then Kendall and it ended that way as well. Chloe spent some time on the prop, so did Payton, so did Mackenzie. Maddie wouldn't have been the focus cuz Chloe and Kendall were featured just about as much as her. Payton spent the most time on the prop, but you could tell she wasn't the MAIN focus cuz after that she spent most of the dance in the back corner.

They all danced incredible, in my case I see the dance as beautiful, I love each execution of the dance, I love how they cut it and all of that is magnificent to see a group dance called open water 🥺❤️❤️

This dance and On The Verge makes me want to cry. It sends such a good message.
The reason I think Payton was not permanently on the team is 1 she just looks so much older than the other girls even though she was close to or the same age as Brooke. And number two is that this is a JUNIOR group, with two teens on the team, at some competitions ( depending on what age they consider teen), it would drive the age group up to a teen number instead of a junior number.
This would’ve been an amazing solo for Chloe. She really does the most genuine job with these types of uplifting pieces.

It’s impressing how Mackenzie can keep up with the girls she was so cute and mature in this.
she didn't just keep up she also did some excellent prop work aerial off of it and the contortion work on back like advanced chin stand.
