Loved your tutorial, very easy to follow. Have had no previous experience with any musical instrument. Now at 80y.o feel I need to broaden my horizons and ordered my new Ukulele a couple of days ago and am hoping to receive it before the end of this week. I hope to continue following your videos. Thank you.
You have opened up my world. I had a ukulele for 4 years . Never touching it till one day I got it out and searched you tube and there you were. I can do the beginners lesson really good and even was inspired to teach my self to play Hallelujah. Wellll... it's a work in progress. Lol. Since my mother's stroke ,I play for her what I know and she sang. That is good to strengthen her vocal cords and throat. Thank you for being there and giving me a purpose. Look forward to the next lesson forward Laura. Maybe you can tell me what is your next video ,after beginners? Thanks sallie
Thanks so much Sallie, I'm happy to hear that you're feeling inspired to start playing your uke! That's so sweet that you're playing Hallelujah for your mother to sing with you. I'd suggest checking out my Ukulele For Beginners Series playlist next, followed by Fundamentals and Techniques, and then 3 and 4 chord songs. Here's a link to all of my playlists: bit.ly/3ysmx0i Thanks for the question!
I agree with what others had said. Thankfully this video was among the ones that popped up during my first few hours with an ukulele. I forgot what I searched for. For now, I'm not aiming at going above beginner's level. I just want to learn simple songs like the ones that you have here and get them perfect. I love the song choices and the island strumming pattern. The images showing the lyrics along with the chords are very helpful. Thank you! Upvoted and subscribed.
Amazing to find such a wonderful teacher. So much easier than others as You're so clear. Everything is broken down to very basic steps. Thank you. You're lovely to follow.
