I Love my Snap-on 1/4” swivel head Ratchet. I wish they made it in Longer handle, but I have Snap-on 1/4” Long Flex handle which is my 2nd favorite. I keep Snap-on in my Shop and I have the same type Carlyle Ratchets in my Service Truck.
Thanks, Jeff. Not sure I have ever wished for a long handled 1/4" drive, but it's nice to know options. That Capri set is nice. Congrats again to the winner.👍
I wanna try those non flex long handle comfort grip Capri ratchets out! They look solid. That set you gave away is very nice too! Congratulations winner 🎉 Great choice!
Nice job of narrowing down to five ratchets Jeff my favorite ratchet is the Snap on 1/4 bodies with 3/8 anvil up until a year ago I had 36 teeth 3/8 Snap on and that was my favorite even the old stuff including the nothing newer than 80's Craftsman lol 👍😎👍
Jeff, I think the only fixed head extra long 1/4 drive ratchet I own is a 10 year old Snap On. It is a great ratchet but I usually just reach for my locking flex Matco 1/4 instead
That Vim is a beast!! I have that ratchet too and it fits well in the hand, has phenomenal back drag, and can handle some serious torque too. Vim actualy did a video a couple of months ago taking it to failure at over 100ft lbs. Which is crazy for a 1/4" drive ratchet that costs about $40. I also have the 120xp featured in this video as well. I picked it up about 2 months ago and its a great little ratchet too. Astro just redesigned their nano ratchet to be a non quick release sealed head ratchet. A little pricey compared to the quick release version though. About twice the price actually. I really like the Capri too. It was my 1st extra long 1/4" ratchet. Im really glad you have this channel and do these videos because people are so hyper focused on these stupid expensive tools. They think that they have to spend an arm and a leg to get a good tool, and thats just not the case. There are tons of amazing toos for reasonable prices. You can stil get name brand stuff too. I have tons and tons of name brand and usa made stuff that didnt cost a mortgage. I saw your short Jeff! Im glad you're trying to grow the channel. I'd really like to get in contact with you if thats possible to discuss a couple things regarding sendingyou some stuff and trading. Thanks!
Very nice Jeff. I just picked up the newer GearWrench 120xp 1/4 flex head and love it. The head is so small and the action is smooth. Thanks for sharing!
Great collection of ratchets Jeff! I really need to get both fixed head and flex head 1/4 long handle ratchets. For many years 3/8 was the most used drive. With the confined spaces of todays engine compartments and smaller headed fasteners, 1/4 drive is gaining in popularity. Just when you think you have all the tools you need, something comes along that you just have to have. Hope you're having a great weekend Jeff!
Hi lieser yea thats whats happens, cars evolve ,so the tools have to evolve as well!! ui dont ever remember seeing a long handle 1/4 ratchet in the 80s, unless it was a tool truck brand!!! thanks lieser!!!
Yeah the Gearwrench has dual offset paws. I want one but I'm afraid the first time I take it apart to clean/oil it I may mess up the paws alignment (both paws falling on same tooth) I don't really know what prevents this, or if there is anything beyond super precious alignment during assembly.
I have a little 1/4” SK-11 stubby flex head with QR button that was really cheap that I love. I also have Wera, Thorsen, Allen, a Bluepoint based hi-lok ratchet. I like the Stahlwille locking extensions in 1/4”, and I have a matching locking T-bar slider. Another little ratchet I like is my KTC BR2S.
@@jefftovani5535 the KTC is a great one, very handy, not expensive, made in Japan. I would also like to a mention a couple more breaker/spinner tools I like: Koken 2769H which is like a convertible spinner and Tone HPTH2250 which is a 1/4” T handle with two male drives.
Hey Jeff, Lowe's has the 3-piece V-series Craftsman ratchets on sale for around 50% off online not sure if it's in store too but it probably is. It would be a good time to grab the set to check out the 1/2 or 1/4. I'm going to go check them out tomorrow and see if I like them enough to get the comfort grip set
Hated the handle size on it but love the backdrag on the cushion grip Gearwrench 120 XP lo king flexhead so I swapped the handle for a Snap On screwdriver hard handle n I don't know, it may be even better than my Snap On flexhead. Others to consider Koken n VIM. Just a thought.
Thanks for the video jeff! I have been looking for a video on a cheap ratchet I just found -- a DURATECH 90-Tooth 1/2 ratchet with a quick release. It's $9 on amazon right now. Would you do a review on it? There's no other videos! If the pawl and mechanism works well it would be great for the money! If you could see how the back drag is that would be great. Exact item name is "DURATECH 1/2 Ratchet Handle, 90-Tooth Socket Wrench, Reversible Ratchet Wrench, Quick-release" -- thanks again!
Great video. That's a nice lineup. I got the Astro ratchet when you showed it the first time, and it is nice. Thanks Jeff
1/4 in drive ratchets are puppies of the tool world you got to just love them , great review Jeff thanks
Yea 1/4 drive ratchets were always my favorite drive!!! thanks tank!!!
That Capri set was my predicted choice…he’ll love ‘em! My favorites of those 5 are the 120xp and the Capri Tools!
Nice rachets ! Thanks as always

Thanks for the ratchet video Jeff !
Okay, enough… I’m ordering a Capri ratchet right now!! I’ll still say it won’t beat a Ko-Ken!! Lol
Thanks for all your hard work Jeff!!

I love my Vim ratchets!
Thanks ryan for joining in!!Vim are nice!!!!
For me it’s 120xp and all of tektons comfort grip. Best ratchets outside the tool trucks for sure.
My favorite 1/4" ratchets are my Milwaukee, Die-Hard, Capri CP90, and Tektons
The vim ratchets are burley, stronger than most.💪 Reasonable pricing. Have flex head also available

Love my capri ratchets. Congrats mike!
Thanks Fonz for checking in!!!
I have the 120xp and the 84T, I always find myself grabbing the 84T over the 120xp. They are both excellent though!

1/4 is something I am dreadfully short on. I underestimated it's use. I need to up my game.
1/4" drive gets used a lot by professional mechanics, even diesel mechanics.
Hi rob,ive shown some good affordable 1/4 drive ratchets in this series!!! thanks for checking in!!
Hello again, Jeff
Thank you for another Great Video. 👍 I enjoyed watching today's video. Again thank you 👌
Thanks george for taking the time to watch, your always much appreciated my friend!!!
Mike your gonna love the Capri CP90's
I think your rite John!!! thier nice set,no doubt, thanks for joining in!!!!
I like having a variety of different langth handles on my ratchets plus it gives me a perfect excuse to buy more ratchets. 😊
Hi joe you and i think alike, lol!!! thanks for joining in!!!
Yeah the Gearwrench has dual offset paws.
I want one but I'm afraid the first time I take it apart to clean/oil it I may mess up the paws alignment (both paws falling on same tooth) I don't really know what prevents this, or if there is anything beyond super precious alignment during assembly.
It’s really not bad. I’ll make a video for my channel later today or tomorrow. just do NOT clip a spring to lighten the back drag. Lol
Thier not hard, take your time, thanks for checking in!!!
I’m at a point now where I usually just go to the locking flex head for the longer lengths, when available anyway.
Nothing wrong with that cam!! locking fex-heads are pretty handy in alot of situations!!! thanks cam!!!

That’s exactly what I would have picked I have the long ones already but they don’t really come in handy much longer than expected.
Thanks key for joining in!!

Been looking for a good 1/4 long preferably flex head, but that nano ratchet is looking good ! Especially the button release .

Hi jiggym just a option, the Nano is decent ratchet!!! thanks for joining in!!!
Thanks Anthony for sharing your take!!!

Thank you soupy,much appreciated!!!!
I'll probably pick that capri ratchet. How about some stubby ratchets.
The capri is nice!! yes will do some stubby ratchet!! thanks for the suggestion MrChim!!!!
I’m enjoying my Astro Nano… any longer would be too long for me, as we’re dealing with small fasteners (generally).
Glad you like your Nano ratchet!!!! thanks for sharing livnow!!!!
I think capri n gearwrench are made in the same factory.
Not to sound wierd but I don’t care for capri tools but I like my gearwrench rackets lol
We all like what we like!! thanks Tailgate for sharing your prefrence!!!
I Have The 1/4 Gear Wrench 120 IXP I Love The Head Flex Ratchet 1/4 I Think Those Are The Best 😅😅😅😅😅
