Thanks for posting this video. House prices in Cary are going to the roof now. These two towns are really good options!! I will sure do some more research and I hope I'll be able to move to the Raleigh triangle soon.
Loved that last part with the young lady with the tattoos!! Speaks volumes coming from a local. We also heard Clayton and Garner were less "open". Nice to hear otherwise. Thanks Ellen!!
I love NC 🌍 but I haven’t visited these two cities yet.. I actually love a small town feel & I’m more interested in small towns . I’m definitely leaning towards Clayton, I’m not sure yet . I have to visit a few more cities before I decide.. that’s the hard part lol .
Garner and Clayton used to be southern but at this point will be iterations of Raleigh Apex Holly Springs etc... I’m not against growth but It is a bit disheartening
I was born and raised in Clayton and have stayed here my entire life. Grew up in the more rural part of Clayton with my neighbors being tobacco and soy bean fields. This was 30 years ago, houses have since been built where the farms used to be minus a few farms by my childhood home. I do live in a quiet neighborhood just a couple minute drive away from downtown now. I personally have spent barely any time in downtown except for the festivals. I do agree though the growth is great on paper but has really changed this town from what I remember as a child. Clayton was voted the best place to live in Johnston county recently and one of the best towns to live in NC as a whole. Just have to take the good with the bad. Love the diversity, growing economy and opportunity. Tolerate the ever increasing traffic and farm fields slowly but all disappearig.
The fields disappearing makes me sad too. I have always loved the beautiful countryside in North Carolina. But yeah, we do have to take the good with the bad. Change is inevitable
@@EllenPitts Yikes - Kinda scary from an African-American perspective! Is that name (and tolerance of it) indicative of the general mindset in that area?
I grew up in Garner and hardly recognize most of it when I visit now. Great video BTW.

Yeah, it is getting pricey but still lower than some other areas. Let me know if I can help with anything!
Love your videos! As a relocated Yankee living in Cary, I've been told Clayton stands for Current Land Area Yankees are Trying Out Now.
Haha, love it!!

NC is still in the Bible but unfortunately that is changing. It is cool to see all these different towns in the triangle.

I hear you. It is definitely changing. Like Melissa Etheridge said... "the only thing that stays the same is change."

Any new construction homes available?
Please send me an email and we can talk about exactly what you’re looking for! epitts@harmonyrealtync.com
Clayton is nicer, but Garner has waaaaay better restaurant choices. Clayton has no restaurants outside of Mexican.
There is that steak place downtown!
LOL it's horrible.
Both are trash when it comes to traffic...

Did you say the "noose" river?? Please tell me you didn't. lol smh.....
It’s spelled Neuse and yes that is how it is pronounced.

It was named after a Native American tribe, the Neusiok.
