The engine in the backhoe is such a loyal mill, she fires up like a dream Mike. You should be pretty pleased with the time/money you have invested so far. She's a beut Clark!👍
This has been an amazing journey of tear down. I wish it wouldn't end. I know there are more adventures to come. The redo of the bucket was genius. Thank you for sharing! 👌 😊
"We'll just....we'll just....yeah....we'll just pull it out. It's only failed me twice in life so far." I can only imagine the conversation with the wife after she hears this comment. 😂😂🤣🤣 I'm sure she knows you are joking and was just part of your award-winning humor!
Quick attach plate seemed good enough from my angle too !! 👀 No fabricobble here, just good old weldgineering 😁 Nothing wrong with extra support, you neve know when it will come in handy, but you won't see it, just feel it through the hydraulics 💪💪 And a third function on the front, marvellous!! Most backhoes have 4 in 1 buckets as standard over here, most operators would be lost without one 😵 555 paid for itself already, additions will make her more versatile 😎
That "Swiss Army knife for the homestead get a new tool and function every time I watch. That machine is going to be a 'go to' machine when you get done (probably never. Continuous evolution.)with it. Too cool!
I was lucky enough to find someone who does aid work and because of me being crippled, she helps me all the time with things I don't understand how to do. You will understand more when you are my age and depend on someone else to do the things you can't. I say this because of not knowing how to use my new cell phone and with it do some videos of my own of the dog or cat doing stuff that drove me nuts. That also put me to understand just what you have done to learn videoing and how much more it is to just do a simple task of videoing someone or something being done by anyone else. In simple lingo, It put me in your place and gave me a new perspective on doing videos, and why I don't do videos for others to watch. It kind of puts me in your shoes figuring out what is important to me and not be something nutso. Doing the work is now the easy stuff and videoing is crazy hard to get right.... so Mike, hats off to you on making a great video content like you have now for some time. I do believe I have watched all your videos as you made them and also realize what it has done for making a few shuckles for doing it.
Two of my favorite RUclipsrs in one video. What a treat! Cap’n you done good on the bucket mod. It certainly looks ‘Kleeman Proof’! I promised to come see you when you started framing the YT Yacht. Unfortunately, I am dealing with a medical issue. But sometime, I’ll reschedule a day or two to help you out. I promise. You’ve come so far in your fabrication skills… you do all of us DIY’ers proud!
Hey buddy… it was great that you got to help Cap’n again! Sorry I missed you this time around. Enjoy the Expo… and maybe I’ll be able to catch up with you on the next trip!
It really is nice when a friend comes by and helps out for a day, or even a few hours. It reinforces your appreciation of your friends and family, and shows you that they appreciate you just as much as you appreciate them. 💖Love to you, and your family and friends Mike, from across the pond (UK). 💪
The backhoe of old is 'new' again and in great working order with the ingenuity of need included in its development. Have machine will do all things required for the job.
A little imagination and some applied skills can create anything that comes to mind! Keep it up, things are working great for your channel and your experiences! Enjoying following along with you!
Framing ??? WOW click bait much ?? Anyhow nice job on the quick connect. Moreover impressed that you didn’t knock us over this video. Also that 😁 grin when you check your final installation, priceless.
A good plan is the plan that works, and if it works you can’t argue with it, just sayin. Nice job on the bucket, thanks for the update young man, fun video to watch.
Mike, you continually get better at editing. Thank you. Great explanations of what you are doing. then just get her done. we don't have to see everything because we all know how long that five-minute job takes. That 555 is a fine piece of equipment now for what you want to use it for.
Might want to put a few gussets along the sides too, tie it all together as much as possible Mike! I know it’s tough to get a good weld underneath it with no space to weld!
like you said Capt, the Triple Nickel is a budget machine. the SS quick attach mods on current bucket stays in theme of budget. down the line you might be able to score a decent used SS bucket, a 4in1 bucket. if Capt gets adventurous, convert a brush hog to go on Triple Nickel. everything that can earn its invest, utilize Triple Nickel
Hay, Mike! Tell Lee, Lee says "Thanks For Helping!" I really enjoy fabing things around the farm I was cool watching you work the bugs out as you went! Lee
Mike, it’s well worth it brother, don’t worry about anyone’s opinion but yours my friend. You’re doing fine brother, it’s also great on the homestead too!
Mike, it is nice when a project turns out as you planned. The "quick-a-tach" looks like it will serve you for many years. You are very courteous and want to return the bucket to Dirt Perfect. Blessings to you.
Didn't you know DP made Captain leave a $500.00 check in the office until he brought it back.? 😮WoW Such trust issues. 😂 And if you believe that, I've also got swap land in Alaska for sale. Roflmao 😂
I looked out my kitchen window yesterday, and saw a truck hauling an old 555 down the road. Not gonna lie, my first thought was, 'Captain Kleeman?'. Then I remembered. I'm in Massachusetts, not Indiana.
it was nice to see you getting help on this one, your ingenuity keeps on amazing me and your welding is getting better every job, if you keep this up we will have to call you a professional welder 👏👏👏👏👏👌👌👌👌👌👍👍👍👍👍
Hi Mike. The quick attach bucket came out real nice. I don't think there is such a thing as too much weld for something that will be subject to having tension put on it from all angles. Also, I think you would have to search a long time to find a backhoe for 5K. Plus, you've freshened up the engine, rebuilt cylinders, replaced hose, etc. Definitely a good investment in my book! -mike
Seeing the 555 in action, if you can get the rest of the machine looking even close to what the parts of the front end have been redone, you’ll have a clean one owner unit. Roam wasn’t built in a day, it’s looking great so far, just keep plugging away and before you know it you’ll have a good dependable piece of equipment that even looks pretty good. Keep up the good work and keep the updates coming.
Since you started the quick attach changes on the loader, I've been dreaming of such a conversion for my OC46 track loader. I currently don't have any quick attach tools to add to it, but do have a neighbor that has a couple 😎
I like the way you think, most of my friends borrow things and I have to go get or haul it back, anyway great job on the quick connect bucket, that will be so convenient
Absolutely fantastic to see the continued improvements on the Triple Nickel. The potential was high when you got her and she has definitely proven to be a good solid machine. I know it can be hard for people to see past the rust, broken hoses, leaking cylinders, and all the rest, but you certainly got yourself a solid machine that will still be useful for a lot of years to come. The auxiliary hydraulic investment and quick attach will make the old girl more versatile than a lot of new machines for a whole lot less money. Yes, you could have purchased a used machine, but you would most likely end up spending between $4,000-$6,000 in repairs over the next couple of years that the seller wasn't willing to do because of cost. These are just the simple facts of owning and operating equipment whether it is small or large, they get used and will need to be repaired. Mike, I'm so glad to see you be able to actually enjoy and realize a lot of that previous potential. 😉 Can't wait for the auxiliary hydraulic options so you can have the functions for an active bucket and thumb.👌 I was going to mention a couple of places to reinforce, but you got to them before I could say anything.😅 One thing you might want to consider is doing a full weld along the top of return flange, where the quick attach fingers nestle in. The weight of the larger buck will stress those stitch welds quite a bit, but more importantly, by closing the entire length of the flange will seal it off from the water, rust, freeze jacking, as well as keeping dirt and debris from finding its way in there. I enjoy watching you work through the process, keep it up.🤙
Nothing wrong with over building something so you only build it once. Glad to see you got over that burnout slump and are as excited about completing the limestone reclamation job as we. Really looking forward to seeing you start the framing on the RUclips Yacht.
You did better than average at keeping the back of the bucket close to the loader pivot pins through your conversion. That will definitely help with it's load capabilities.
Good job mike.. I like it... I had the perfect bucket for you a while back. clam shell with a nice dozzer blade. 84 inch.. Maybe I'll run across another one...
Hey Mike, gotta be good to have a real good friend to help out. Excellent work as always, the backhoe is going to be superior to its original spec. Best wishes from Britain 👍🇺🇸🇬🇧
Been watching you and your backhoe and decided to transport my JD 310G backhoe from my farm to my Little building in town to put it to work on multiple projects.Moving stone, dirt, building an entranceway, etc. Will be fun. Been using a shovel and wheelbarrow and kept thinking my backhoe suuuurrrreeeee would be helpful....Transport took 5 hours total: that's what kept me from doing it.
My wife and I are starting the process of building a house on our 17acre farm. I have been looking for a loader backhoe and this series gave me the confidence to purchase something that might need work to save a lot of money and do the work myself. Theres a 78 455 not far away, wondering how similar it is to the 555. Appreciate the effort and knowledge learned in this playlist. Thanks Capt
Nice job pulling your bucket out of the truck. Smooth and no damage! I was kinda curious why you loaded the 4-1 with the loader and a chain and didn’t unload yours the same way. No matter, you got’er done!
Great job Mike…so happy to see those free metal scraps getting used. Naively, I thought that they might get used on the floor but I’m beginning to think you might like it open 😎
100% on the welding rods! I'm the exact same. 6011 for penitration, and 7018 for strength and looks! 👍 My next episode of my RUclips channel is adding a quick attach plate to my mini loader. Watching your video helped me find my confidence to do it myself! Thanks!
So much fun to watch these videos from beginning to end to see the all the progress and learn something along the way. Thanks Mike for the great videos.
"It's only failed me twice in life before" I see what you did there 😂
Fab work is becoming you great video thanks Mike and Lee
The engine in the backhoe is such a loyal mill, she fires up like a dream Mike. You should be pretty pleased with the time/money you have invested so far. She's a beut Clark!👍
22:25 Mike that was pure gold.
Mike, that quick attach looks really good! I'm happy to see the 555 making money for you!
Thanks!

There are a lot of life lessons on this channel. ❤
Oh that little JD picking up that big bucket wasn't sketchy at all LOL
You are the best example of a happy soul person. Could listen to you share all day!
Only failed me twice in life! OMG purely hysterical!!
I had to scroll too far in this comments to see someone mention that!
There is the “checkbook” way of acquiring things - or - the Kleeman way.😊
That "Swiss Army knife for the homestead get a new tool and function every time I watch. That machine is going to be a 'go to' machine when you get done (probably never. Continuous evolution.)with it. Too cool!
Me and my dad converted his old tractor to quick attach and we use those plates from Amazon didn't have an issue
👍
It's a beautiful day
In mr. Kleemans neighborhood 👍💘

@@alexosborne5629 Thanks Alex. I appreciate that.
22:22 to 22:25 FUNNIEST thing I've heard in a long time!

I still can't wait for the polished timber floorboards in the 555 🤣Over engineering is good for peace of mind when you push things hard.
🤣
The backhoe of old is 'new' again and in great working order with the ingenuity of need included in its development. Have machine will do all things required for the job.
Capt, I'm with ya brother. I like excessive too. After all, you are a fireman , & a fireman can break an anvil 😂. You're doing great!
A little imagination and some applied skills can create anything that comes to mind!
Keep it up, things are working great for your channel and your experiences! Enjoying following along with you!
It has been a blast to watch his channel grow and him also.
For a brief moment there, the 755 has a bucket on it of the size appropriate to the way you run it with the smaller bucket! LOL
Framing ??? WOW click bait much ?? Anyhow nice job on the quick connect. Moreover impressed that you didn’t knock us over this video. Also that 😁 grin when you check your final installation, priceless.
Good stuff Mike. Your welding has come a long ways.
Maybe chain hook or 2 for lifting and pulling .thanks for taking me along good job.
It already has them 👍
Great job Michael. Ole 555 is proving to have a good ROI. Clint from C&C did you a solid.
A good plan is the plan that works, and if it works you can’t argue with it, just sayin. Nice job on the bucket, thanks for the update young man, fun video to watch.

Fortunately for us… he still has several projects on that tote board!!!
Mike, it’s well worth it brother, don’t worry about anyone’s opinion but yours my friend. You’re doing fine brother, it’s also great on the homestead too!
Nice smooth torch action. Like the way you cleaned up the triangle while still in the plate. Live and learn.

Great to have friends help, when needed. Good job engineering quick attach for backhoe bucket. Make it more functional.
Got plans to add a Tooth bar to the bucket? I know that made a world of difference in the way my tractor digs and it only has 2 bolts to take off.
Seeing the 555 in action, if you can get the rest of the machine looking even close to what the parts of the front end have been redone, you’ll have a clean one owner unit. Great job Mike, almost thought you had a new red pickup 😂 finish line is in sight!! UTube yacht, what’s that!!😂😂 Keep them coming Captain 👍🇺🇸

The 755 looked good with the backhoe bucket on the front 😅😅😅
Cool video as always! Bet Dirt Perfect is glad the WB bucket doesn't have mirrors 😂

Id say keep that bucket on the 755 just to send people through the roof keep up the good work
Hey Cap, just a suggestion, when using a rose bud, crank acetylene to 15 PSI & oxygen to 90 PSI, should not have any burn back into the tip.
👍
Awesome. Love your videos.
Thanks!
Nice work there Mike. The QA system will add a lot of versatility to the backhoe. Thanks for sharing.
100% on the welding rods! I'm the exact same. 6011 for penitration, and 7018 for strength and looks! 👍
