- Trp. J. Byrd (A-19) stops a speeding motorist in a Dodge Charger near Shackleford Rd and I-630 in Little Rock (Pulaski County).
Raise your hand if you were just waiting for the Charger to take off, lol.
Byrdman is a legend. No PIT, no ticket.
Officer Byrd is back in the spotlight, even if it's just a traffic stop. Been missing my troop A midnights guys.

Being polite and respectful at a traffic stop goes a long way. I hope the young man remembers this wonderful officer and acts accordingly in the future. And I hope his dad sees this video!
The vast majority of cops are good people, but there's a small fraction of them that give them all a bad rap. The old saying goes; "If a police department has 200 cops but 20 of them are crooked and the other 180 cops don't turn them in, that department has 200 bad cops!"

This is the most wholesome encounter I’ve ever seen with trooper byrd lol. Usually it’s pit maneuvers but this was super chill and the kid was respectful, so kudos to both parties 🤝🏼

It always makes me laugh how everyone slows waaayyyy down when they see a police in the rear view. I can always tell when there’s a cop set up near my house. People are actually doing 35 instead of 50 (or more).
@@Ray56z true but one thing ive learned is to still slow down and atleast show a sign of respect,like 2 weeks ago i was hitting it late at night and didn’t realize I was flying up on a cop who was just cruising in the right lane,I hit the brakes but was going so fast i still pass him a lil and kept driving around 65 in a 55 and he didn’t bother me,just came behind me ran my plates and flew off 😂😂heart was pounding,I was going about 90-95
Got to hand it to Trooper Byrd. If you don’t try to run from him and are respectful things turn out a whole lot better for those he lights up. I don’t even think he issued a written warning to this young man.

I'm not sure why he didn't give the ticket as any cop would for that much over. My guess is the kid was real respectful, didn't lie and pulled over without a chase.
It was a Friday night, and a pack of chargers/challengers. They could’ve been going ALOT faster. Trust me that 90 ina 65, wasn’t no real ticket he was looking for that night.

I am beginning to wonder if everyone has a Charger for crying out loud. It seems that ASP has to deal with an awful lot of them. Good to see Trooper Jacob Byrd once again and not have too much excitement on this stop. I am waiting for when a driver recognizes Trooper Byrd from You Tube when they get pulled over. That would be hysterically funny I think.

And this ladies and gentlemen is how you should behave when you have an officer stop you. Just own up to what you did wrong or at least not argue with the officer. Follow the officer's directions and be respectful. This will often go a long way towards helping your situation out or at least not make it any worse. I drove trucks for over 25 years and there were many times just like this when an officer had me nailed for speeding and let me go with just a warning because i was respectful and didn't act a fool. I would just own up to it and say well you got me. They have a job to do and if you're speeding and you get caught there is no reason to be mad at them, it's your fault lol. This young man was obviously raised right and as a result he drove off with just a warning. Also props to this officer for just hopefully using this as a teaching moment. He could have easily given the ticket and made this guys dad's insurance go much higher and didn't. Hopefully this young man remembers this and how lucky he got.

Bullshit stop .he was hoping the charger would run.if he was speeding initially he would have instantly lit both the charger and the challenger .but he picked out one to harass hoping he’ll run.
His dad needs to remind him, you don't speed after dark on the Byrd's turf.

Don’t answer question. Give ‘em your ID and insurance and registration and take the ticket. Don’t tell em where your going or coming from. That’s none of there Bussiness. Just say yes and no and move on. Never talk to the police. They will always look for something to get you on.

The chances of there being a red challenger and a black charger next to each other and them not setting up to race or just finishing a race is slim to none.

See people? All you have to do ispleasant and friendly this Lee despite the situation you're in. I've done the exact same thing and driven away with a warning and the worst was I drove away with a speeding ticket. Police officers are out there doing their jobs and I know I wouldn't want to do that job because there are so many hazards. Not to mention the psychological toll it can take on officers. Give them respect and they will give you respect.

In the very beginning the officer was going 59 when he said the charger was going 85 in a 65 there's no way he was going 85 in a 65
