Loved Plaxico. He was the best Giants receiver ever. Take him over Beckham any day. Clutch in playoffs. Reminds me of a Randy Moss type of reciever. Shame when he hurt himself, Giants should of let him heal and not cut him.
No one remembers the in between. There was the helmet catch. Then it came down to a third and 12 completion to number 12, Steve Smith. He was so clutch. Then on first down, that beautiful and easy Eli toss to Plax in the end zone. So sweet. It never gets old. Patriot's perfect season turned into 18-1. Love you forever Plax as an All Time Great Champion!
Plax i knew when you came to the new york giants you were going to make a difference and what a difference you made thank you plax 4 being a new york giant 🔷
I genuinely feel for Plax. You can tell how painful it is for him to think about all the consequences of that one really stupid mistake. A hard lesson. Man, imagine what could've been?
Easily could have had 1 or 2 more superbowl appearances maybe even rings if he hadn't shot himself in the leg. I remember going to the Redskins game either right before or right after he shot himself and we kicked their asses and improved to 11-1 with the win and after that it was all over
You're right. They really were a good, well balanced team before Plax messed up. He paid a big price for it. He also handled it with class. Who knows? After Plax was gone, Eli wasn't the same. Plax covered a lot of Eli's inaccurate passes. Plax deserves our love as NYG fans. He played his ass off. Anyone remember Plax vs Al Harris? One for the ages.
@@joemamaurmama we still got one after him though..what happened was after that second superbowl win the whole team fell apart. And we never found pieces to cover those missing pieces and then Eli couldn't be Eli anymore. He was always throwing check downs wouldn't throw deep any more couldn't move in the pocket much..and the the O-line is complete 🗑 never gave him any time in the pocket and he was scared for his life most of the games.then our defense giving up TD's almost every drive..Can't stop the Run or the Pass.we are not getting any pressure at all like we used to have we lost all our great linemen and I miss those dudes to this day.and we have WR's dropping passes that are hitting their chests and hands..And now we have a running back and all the Coach that shall not be named wanted to do was run him straight down the middle constantly when he is more of a Elusive guy if you could run him to the sides and he'll be gone but no that didn't happen.Calling some of the dumbest play calling I have ever seen like getting a safety for running the 3rd String running back in you're end zone and getting a safety for it..we have kickers missing kicks left and right and center..and even in 2016 when we made the wildcard that season was complete defense we couldn't score over 20 points a game our offense have been trash.and the defense was only good that 1 year then they became just as trash as the offense has been..On top of the constant injuries that we have every game it's like 2 new dudes are Injured..And Gm's wasting so much of our money and cap space of garbage contracts like Nate Solder Has proven to be and trading odell after giving him nearly a 100 million...and we got basically nothing for him we could have gotten so much better for him and actually got a superstar and decent player for him but nah instead we get a O lineman that barely had any impact and a Safety that was ehh I swear My Gmen are doing this trash to me on purpose that's how stupid the decisions have been
That winning TD catch from Plax and the crowd letting out the loudest cheer before the ball even landed still gives me chills to this day. So many great players that season, Plax definitely shined the brightest out of all of them and that’s with a roster like Eli, Strahan, Tuck and Osi.
In that superbowl it was like a dream come true, plex you were the best in that green bay game you took those db's to school, i always liked you plex even when you was with Pittsburgh steelers i followed you and i was glad you came to the giants, i know your retired now so best of luck in the future once a giant always a giant.
Honestly I agree but there really needs to be no shad towards OBJ he was extremely elite his issues were mostly health related. Plax was more consistent tho
Loved watching Plax play for the Giants! Easily Eli's favorite target. Just had to throw high where only Plax could reach it. But after his accident the Giants have had problems beating the fricken Eagles
Went to that Eagles playoff game we loss😡😡Couldn’t help but think during and after the game…damn we missed Plax!! Still thankful and forever great full to Plax for an incredible Giants career and chip!!!
Love Plax as a Great Giant forever. I still remember the day, when they were 11-1, that my son said, "hey, did you hear that Plax shot himself in the leg?" What? Eli really missed him after that. Plax could catch it if Eli threw it anywhere within his zip code. Plax did something stupid, but he also paid a big price for it. Bloomberg set him as an example. He's on my list, along with, but not limited to, in any order, Toomer, Baker, Cruz, Nicks, Bavaro, Smith, McConkey, Tyree, Manningham, Ingram, as one of the greatest Giant receivers ever. If you are a NYG fan, you will notice that all on that list are Champions. These are our Greatest Recievers. I'm sure that I left someone out who made a crucial play in the big games. I should list more tight ends. But of all the receivers that won huge games for us, Shockey and Beckham are not on that list.
For Giant fans, the Plaxico moment was bigger than the Tyree play, because you weren't sure if Tyree caught it at first and the G-men were still far from winning it. When Plax hauled it in, THAT was the moment you said. "Holy sh*t, we beat the Patriots!" and ended up in a dogpile on the living room floor.
Great stuff man! Wish Plax would of not had that incident the next yr. That 08 Giants team was actually better than the 07 SB team. Losing Plax that yr really hurt. But still, thanks Plax.
I won some bets also......brought my first 73in tv & a 85 box chevy....man I missed those dayz....We was rollin that nxt season ......Suppose to hv 5 rings but hey wht can I say......Let's get bk to da glory years.....Go Blue
No Bullshi@#$% 2008 was the best team the Giants literally ever had probably and I knew we were going to the dance. Our defense literally took out "if I recall like 6 or 7 different QB's that year. I remember vividly Cutler when he was on the Bears. I was in a bar screaming on the top of my lungs 😆 I pray we can get back to those days ASAP. Plex was phenomenal....He used to F with all the corners and bow in the end zone. Love him still so much
this how u know our GM sucked ...we never replaced Plax...Eli was the kind of QB that needed a Tall possession receiver with gd speed n we never went out n got him one...i think the closest we got was Brandon Marshall n he was on the decline when we got him ...smh ...dam tho that was some bad ass luck that accidental shooting ...u cant even make crap like tht up ...Anyway VA stand up ...Plax went to to High School 2 mins from my house saw him play even way back then ...Green Run High School ..if u from Virginia Beach u know whats up ... #salute

I will always be impressed by what Burress was able to do in that Green Bay game. He was unstoppable
My all-time favorite Giants WR.
Plaxico thank you so much for your contribution to The Gmen.
Loved Plaxico. He was the best Giants receiver ever. Take him over Beckham any day. Clutch in playoffs. Reminds me of a Randy Moss type of reciever. Shame when he hurt himself, Giants should of let him heal and not cut him.

We definitely would have repeated if he hadn’t shot himself
@@lizzybethnj617 - FACTS!
Plax cost us a repeat and back to back SB titles. We had beaten both SB participants in their houses that yr!
Thanks Plaxico for the memories….Always a Giant
Everytime I look back on that season it comes with a huge Kool-aid smile and a single happy tear! Unbelievable stretch.......Unbelievable!!
Best win ever, along with 2011 of course! Love my Gmen. Can't wait for Football and Sports to begin again! 💯👍
The greatest David vs. Goliath story in NFL history. Challenge me.
I couldn’t, even if I wanted too
Great to hear the season from his perspective such a beast in his giants career

I won soooooooo many bets off that super bowl !!!!! Lol that was my giants! The come back kings that season!!!
Great stuff man! Wish Plax would of not had that incident the next yr. That 08 Giants team was actually better than the 07 SB team. Losing Plax that yr really hurt. But still, thanks Plax.
Damn man we could've had a dynasty if it wasn't for the shot leg man. Still though, would love a Plaxico right now on the Giants
Absolutely
I miss these days. We desperately need a receiver like him now

They always talk about a player always being open..Plax always was!!!
Best Super Bowl ever
All Jokes aside his year in 07-08 was prob a top 3 season for any WR that decade
Had Plaxico never shot himself , Eli and Plax would’ve been 1 of if not the best QB WR combo in the NFL for years to come
Lawrence Taylor , Carl banks , Phil Sims , George Martin, Michael straham Ely maning and so many others .
....the ball is coming...! :-D
Good wr but he cost this team a back to back sb. That 2008 team is the best complete giants team I’ve ever seen and I saw them all
We would've won back to back Superbowls if Plaxico didn't have his incident.
No Bullshi@#$% 2008 was the best team the Giants literally ever had probably and I knew we were going to the dance. Our defense literally took out "if I recall like 6 or 7 different QB's that year. I remember vividly Cutler when he was on the Bears. I was in a bar screaming on the top of my lungs 😆

1986 was monster team
@paulclancy789 Absolutely, No arguing that!
Eli would just toss the ball up to plax in triple coverage and somehow make big plays that was their chemistry. T

He won us one Superbowl but also costed us a second 😭😭. I'll always remmeber that but always still forgive you.
i forgive him since he is always defends Gmen
We wasn't going to Repeat lol Eagles sweep us in 08
NYG
0:14 dawg got kicked in the Nads
Too bad no Manning Passing Academy this year, it would be nice to have some superbowl winners to come in as instructors
It was a great super bowl and a great performance from each team
But you know our gmen had to win lol
Never again 10 +17
Stop talking about the past and go sign clowney
why did steelers let Plax go??such a stingy team!!!
Even if Plaxico didn't shoot himself Giants still lose 23-11
Too bad he ruined the end of his career.

Ppl forget Plax was a FA Giants didn't draft him like they did Odell
