Collaborating with the Pet Rock over a Weekend (temporal synthesis experiment)

  • I thought this might be a fun experiment. I made this simple patch and allowed the Pet Rock to determine the rhythms over a 4-day period. Each day I made small changes to modulation, bpm, scale, etc, but the patch is relatively static. It sounds quite different from day to day.

    That was as cool if not cooler than I thought it would be. I'd love to hear how it morphed long-term, like a month or longer. You normally only get to see how things change over time. It's not often you get to hear a change of time, especially one that is musical. Thanks for indulging me on this one!

      Yeah. It might be a fun experiment to leave the same patch for months and just record it each time the phase of the moon changes. Of course, that would mean you'd have to leave the modular patched for a long time but... the result could be cool. Thanks for checking it out.
