- I went to a local comic show and found a vendor with more than a dozen long boxes of comics priced at $0.50 a piece OR you could get 30 for $10. That's $0.33 each! I'm normally a Marvel collector and these were almost all DC but there's no way I was passing on this deal. There are some DC runs I AM working on and I scored big. And stick around until the end for a special surprise hiding in one of the issues. CHECK IT OUT!

Dude! That triple cover in a 9.8 is like a 1,000$. Go to your lcs and let them check it out for you. Meantime put in 2 boards and a bag right away

I know it. Triple covers are incredibly rare, batman is very popular. The only thing might be it is not a key. Still to be sure have your lcs check it .

I love your channel, even though I am a DC fan primarily because, I like comics. Seeing a DC video is a nice change. That triple cover is great. Keep on collecting what you like, of course.

Wow triple cover is crazy!! Wraith is not an alternate Bruce Wayne he's a guy who's origin parallels his but in an opposite way, that's a pretty popular special story I believe. Later Prometheus has a similar origin. Enjoy your comics

Triple Covers are insanely Awesome! I have yet to find one in the wild..... However, as you know, since I buy and sell in bulk, there is always a good chance that I might have had 1 or 2 in the past and just never knew it! Hi Chris - congrats on the triple cover error printing, extremely rare! Regarding the '84 Batman Special, there is an article in the back of the issue explaining its origin. I don't have a copy of the book so I can't say for certain, but I believe that Batman story was prepared for Germany (Egmont publisher) and then also published by DC in the U.S. There were several similar Superman one-shot specials in the mid-1980s and that was the case for those. (By the way, when you find Batman Annual, the first Bronze/Modern issue was #8 in 1982. The first 7 issues came out in the Silver Age.) -- Jim in Indiana

still king of the under a buck comics!! the Kayfabe guys did a video on that Batman Special, really great Michael Golden art. you know that Jim Lee Batman pin up looks like Lee inking himself rather than Scott Williams. also looks like his Deathblow style, which a lot of people crap on for being a Frank Miller ripoff but i'm a big fan of. i'd buy a monthly Batman book with Jim drawing in that style.

The only explanation for the Batman 619 mystery is the Multiverse Matrix Unfolding is and the Triple Cover is because of Dimensions Collapsing . Speaking of Batman, Graham Nolan and Kelley Jones were the artists of my era and damn it was wild and fun, but dark and gritty at the same time. I started at Knightfall but I really got into it when Bruce was back in black. It was before my time but yeah that Norm Breyfogle art looks great, I wanna get all those for sure. But I really want to get all those Jim Lee (I have the trades but I want the floppies) and Tony Daniel books too. And of course David Finch. Is that too much to ask? Okay don't tell anyone but I also want all the Jim Aparo. I stopped collecting while Scott McDaniel The Nightwing guy of all guys to be drawing Batman at last! But yeah I'd like to finish that run too. I was getting a lot of other Jim Lee books but some how just happened to miss his Batman when I stopped collecting for 2 years. But if they release or have already an oversized absolute hardcover edition, I think I might want that for sure, not instead, but in addition to. Why not? Let's Go!
You hit on several good Batman art runs. Might have to expand my own wish list at some point and get more of them.
What a great surprise! First of all, totally jealous of all those Batman books. Loosely trying to get a good sized run of detective and Batman myself. Great finds for sure! I don't think I've found any under 2 bucks at least
Just read the hush story for the first time a couple weeks ago. Really good read in my opinion. And even better books to find!
On that mudpack part 1, under the issue number is "no. 9" I noticed. Any significance? I might need to look at my own copy and see if mine says it
