But ye, I dont expect Ferrari to be back on very top right away, but I do expect them do better than Mclaren in short term....could be wrong ofcourse, only time will tell. Overall I think its entirely possible that neither Kimi or Alonso will win any more championships during their careers, but this was propably the best time for Alonso to leave Ferrari, while for Kimi it was unfortunate that he came to the team propably at the worst possible time and could retire before Ferrari has even chance of fighting for the championships again. And ye, sry about that, I DO respect Alonso as great racing driver, but as a person he represents that kind of extremely self-centered, almost narsistic personality that I personally hate. So ye, lets just leave it to that.
Fernando las den Kopf nicht hängen ,das nächste Jahr kommt und da werdet ihr wieder um den Titel mitfahren und ihn hoffentlich auch holen ! Klasse Formel 1 Jahr ! Danke !
@nederlandsepizza It's not about the track it's about how fast things in F1 change. The situation (and the Renault car) in turkey was totally different than in Abu Dhabi. Petrov had a good race and with the f-duct he was just to quick 4 Alonso on the straights.
I don't think you know the 'at-the-moment' feeling when he lost... You can't get more angry at such a moment, so yeah, giving the middle finger isn't a big deal. And I only listen to what he has to say, which is in This video, because That is what matters.
In Turkey they told him: "good pressure on Petrov he won't keep it 4 too long" , and i Abu Dhabi "use all your talent to pass him". Funny how things change.
@SUGARPOP73 actually i dont actively support red bull, i support 2 different drivers from 2 different teams (petrov and kobayashi), and i didnt mean to offend alonso, i actually supported him back in renault days, i just said that he was not at peak performance because of his frustration.
he made i it look like that for the cameras but in the end theres clearly only one finger pointed to vitaly, which is a really low shot. and yes,i saw the race just like i saw singapore 08 and hungary 07.
He wasn't slower than Petrov, he was holding him up. And if he deserves to loose - why has he won 3 races as the only driver in 2012 wc? And where is Petrov?? IN A CATERHAM..
@JhonAnim This was a joke. I don't know if you remember but a few races back, Ferrari sent a message to Felipe Massa saying "Fernando is faster than you, Can you confirm you understood that message?", meaning that he should let Fernando pass. Since Petrov didn't let him pass, he should learn how to deal with it.
🙃This doesn't change the fact He is the best driver to hit modern f1 and it's visible by his performances .Hamilton may be the greatest but ability wise Fernando is something else (😀Now plz don't cry about 2007 ik what happened and it happens to best).
@FormulaOneFan4Eva He probably will, but honestly, I hate people blaming Petrov for "blocking" (or in other words, defending or fighting for position) Alonso after they saw that their beloved Fernando waving his fist in frustration after forcing Petrov off track
This poor guy has lost his edge long ago and couldn't even win championship for Ferrari in 5 FUCKING years. Good drivers develop the car, like Schumacher.
Dimitris AlonsoFerrari Yes, beating kimi in a car designed for ALONSO, a guy that has an exactly OPPOSITE, motherfucker, OPPOSITE FUCKING DRIVING STYLE THAN KIMI. No, not mad, since i know next year Kimi will hopefully show he isn't too old, like some bad memory people have proposed.
FinSituation You know that there's a 94 point-difference between them, right? A different car cannot turn around a 94 point-difference. 10-20 point-difference = yes ok, but 94 point-difference = no, it can't. Alonso is simply better..... LOL, Kimi fanboys are still crying.....
@SUGARPOP73 I agree with you..too many people think they have something personal with him...and they simply see what they want to see in everything he does or says. I don't get it and I don't like it.. every other drivers in his situation would be soo emotional, so frustrated...but when he does, he's to blame. no words..
I know the team Vettel races for is Red Bull, but who actually makes the car, i know an energy drink company couldn't produce that good of a car. Could someone tell me which automaker builds the cars for Red Bull Racing?
that was his Point people become aggressive and act insulting even While loosing a in a GAME so its not Strange for a person to act not very nice after loosing world championship ..
@dirtyoldpriest I think his comment was fine. He gave Petrove some respect and I think he had some rights to be a bit emotional. Right after the race anyone would be disappointed loosing championship like that. But during this interview he paid respect and said few good word about Petrov's driving. My congratulations to Petrov, hope he will be resigned by reno and next year we will see few podiums with him.
Dear Fernando, please stay at Renault for 2007 and 2008. Than join Red Bull, yes the energy drink producer. Stay there until the end of 2013. In 2014 the hybrid era will start. Join Mercedes, they are doing R&D for this quite a time. In 2015 McLaren will reunite with Honda, I know Senna was your hero BUT stay at Mercedes! You would regret joining McLaren. Stay at Mercedes until 2021 and retire. You would be the most successful driver of all time and now could go for your other passions in motor racing like Indy 500, WEC and Dakar. I hope you will notice my advice. Best wishes and good luck champ!
So in order for Alonso to be a chambion he must be on a dominant car but fot others that's a weakness?? The hypocrisy is strong here. Also if he joined Mercedes he has to fight a superior driver so in Mercedes he will end up 2nd at best.
I am Spanish. Best Car is RB, but best driver IMO is Alonso. He achieved to be leader until last race with the 2nd/3rd car. You just need to see how many points has Massa in comparison with him, and do the same between Vettel/Webber or Hamilton/Button. Vettel and Hamilton are also huge drivers and I respect them. All of you that only see the skills of your favourite driver are fanatics and your opinion as Formula 1 fans is Useless. Congrats Red Bull & Vettel.
What Alonso did to Petrov on the slow down lap was in bad taste. You win with respect and lose with respect. I'm sure as time goes on he will regret that. Live and learn. Congrats to Vettel by the way.
He did it out of frustration, you'd do that too if you lost the way he did. It wasn't personal against Petrov. Hell Vettel did the same thing 10 times more often
All Alonso haters use to be british people, brazilian, and now german people. I think that is normal, cause everybody prefer their country pilot. Anyway, Alonso is a really good driver,2 world championships, and 2 near (1 point on ´07 and 4 points on ´10). Ferrari this year hadnt a good car, and the team do it a very bad strategy in the last race. But please, dont say Alonso is a loser, cause he is very talented.
As much as I don't really like Alonso you got to give him props to how he handled this. I won't point fingers but I am fairly certain other drivers would have been moaning and blaming others.
@Krisiun111 Redbull has no automaker. It was formally the Jaguar team but now it gets finance from Redbull and its engines come from Renault. They design and build many of their own components inhouse (England).
@specialsenna Hamilton and Alonso had the same points in 2007 so Lewis didn't beat him. I think Alonso is better because Lewis makes more mistakes than him. Hamilton could have won this WDC if he hadn't made such mistakes in the last races. Alonso is agressive when victory is possible but try to get points if not. He takes no more risks than needed. I think that's why he is so regular and good in race rhythm, better than in poles.
@swistral1 I am not biased by nationalities, and I can't truly tell you that I can't see anything outrageous in Alonso's behavour after he just finished the race, the guy shows some anger, yes, who wouldn't?
@crazyhunter68 I agree that Alonso or Button would have won, but my point was that he was able to keep them behind for as long as he did. And I think you're confusing Vettel with Hamilton, I think it was Hamilton who crashed out Maldonado and Massa, no..?
@windflasher0 lol I did watch the race. You realize that when there is a red flag, the race is stopped and there is no safety car? Vettel didn't go into the pits, they changed his tyres on the grid during the red flag. They used the opportunity to their advantage.
Funny how Spaniards would still appreciate the 2010 WDC outcome with Vettel winning rather than Hamilton or that Brits also appreciate Sebastian winning rather than Alonso. Look, Spain has experienced F1 Champs recently. So has Britain. Can there now be peace?
Alonso fought till the end in the 2nd maybe even the 3rd best car on the grid. If Vettel and Webber were better drivers and we KNOW the Redbulls were the class of the field they should have won the title a long time ago. As far as Massa letting him trough for a win...some guy called Shumacher did the same to him teammates for a long time. Also Montoya did the same for "the ice man" in the Mclaren, Massa and Kimi did it for each other for 2 seasons in the Ferrari. Think you know the game better?
2010: "congratulate red bull, sebastian but next year we try again"

ToCGambler Well I think its unlikely that anyone can challenge Mercedes for the championship atleast during 2015...In my understanding Ferrari has set their goal for 2016.
Danke !
Leider wurde es daraus nix 🥲
@nederlandsepizza
It's not about the track it's about how fast things in F1 change. The situation (and the Renault car) in turkey was totally different than in Abu Dhabi. Petrov had a good race and with the f-duct he was just to quick 4 Alonso on the straights.
And now Failonoso has just seen Vettel's 4th World Championship slapped on his bitter face, it's beautiful.
come on Fernando you are a great driver!
well yes... but actually no xD
@@alexxandros168 after that Baku Gp lol
I don't think you know the 'at-the-moment' feeling when he lost... You can't get more angry at such a moment, so yeah, giving the middle finger isn't a big deal. And I only listen to what he has to say, which is in This video, because That is what matters.
on the right side of your monitor you have related videos, check Alonso vs Petrov-FOrmula 1-Abu Dhabi- thats how good man alonso is....
Like it says in Italy's anthem. "Where's victory?" :)
grande nano, te queremos
In Turkey they told him: "good pressure on Petrov he won't keep it 4 too long" , and i Abu Dhabi "use all your talent to pass him". Funny how things change.
2022 lets go
@HerthaBSCFanNr1 That's what I mean. He adapts so well to every race as gets as much as possible.
2011Champion Vettel 24 años congratulation!
2012 Champion Vettel
1:21 - Petrov is faster than you. Can you confirm you understood that message?
risk is is every time in racing, this is exiting
@SUGARPOP73 actually i dont actively support red bull, i support 2 different drivers from 2 different teams (petrov and kobayashi), and i didnt mean to offend alonso, i actually supported him back in renault days, i just said that he was not at peak performance because of his frustration.
payback for " Fernando is faster than you! "
he made i it look like that for the cameras but in the end theres clearly only one finger pointed to vitaly, which is a really low shot. and yes,i saw the race just like i saw singapore 08 and hungary 07.
spot on bro!
racing in abu dhabi.today’s abu dabhi is just an exhibition pretty much as new champion already named few races prior.
And now vettel is retiring... and Alonso is still "but next year we try again"
Why does Alonso not retire.?
AM23 BOOOOY!!!
no he waved his fist and did not show the finger... i suppose calling another driver "cucumber" is absolutely world class for you then...
hes the best for me
He wasn't slower than Petrov, he was holding him up. And if he deserves to loose - why has he won 3 races as the only driver in 2012 wc? And where is Petrov?? IN A CATERHAM..
Only race that Petrov seemed to do well
Well, Heikki is for sure one of the most underrated drivers of Modern F1 history.
8 years later, for sure
Good MECHANICS develop the car..... Still crying because Fernando is destroying Kimi.....
Dimitris AlonsoFerrari It seems that Alonso fanboys like you are crying too. LoL :D
FinSituation Do I look like I'm crying?
@SUGARPOP73 I agree with you..too many people think they have something personal with him...and they simply see what they want to see in everything he does or says.
I don't get it and I don't like it..
every other drivers in his situation would be soo emotional, so frustrated...but when he does, he's to blame.
no words..
Like i said to many others before you... giving the middle finger isn't a big deal when you've just lost the WORLD championship.
I know the team Vettel races for is Red Bull, but who actually makes the car, i know an energy drink company couldn't produce that good of a car. Could someone tell me which automaker builds the cars for Red Bull Racing?
that was his Point people become aggressive and act insulting even While loosing a in a GAME so its not Strange for a person to act not very nice after loosing world championship ..
good job petrov !
very true
video games can really blow the top
@dirtyoldpriest
I think his comment was fine.
Uhm.. That was before this interview... And like I said, giving the middle finger isn't a big deal when you've just lost the world championship..
Dear Fernando,
please stay at Renault for 2007 and 2008.
VETTEL IS THE CHAAAAAAAAAMP :D
What Alonso did to Petrov on the slow down lap was in bad taste. You win with respect and lose with respect. I'm sure as time goes on he will regret that. Live and learn. Congrats to Vettel by the way.
He did it out of frustration, you'd do that too if you lost the way he did. It wasn't personal against Petrov. Hell Vettel did the same thing 10 times more often
Most people changed their attitude towards Alonso after Singapore 2008, in my mind he is and will always be a coward and crybaby
But is you crying right here 😂😂👎
@ISAACFLIP1989 you are a new kind of special.
YES
@Sunedosa Totally agree. I am not happy about what he did but I can understand. He is human and was frustrating after 40 laps behind Petrov.
To Fabhaven: You are exactly right!!!!!!! On a gold fucking platter!
"Vitaly, Fernando is NOT faster than you. Can you confirm you find that as hilarious as we do?"
Alonso is the most talented on the grid today hands down
@specialsenna yea but alonso lost to vettel, not lewis, whom was 4th in the standings while alonso was second by only 4pts
Year changes always until he retires.
7>2
@@ricardop9196 8
@yvhuio your right I forgot 8>2
@shelleyslater not Alonso. Hamilton has the most fastest laps for the 2010 season in his McLaren-Mercedes.
@swistral1 I am not biased by nationalities, and I can't truly tell you that I can't see anything outrageous in Alonso's behavour after he just finished the race, the guy shows some anger, yes, who wouldn't?
@4youyou1 I am also an Alonso fan, but you dont have to insult the other ones, this is Sport!
@rakesh445 Blocking is called 'defending'. It is completely legal as long as you dont "block" more than once
Yea. Nico is son of Keke Rosberg, 1982 champion so Nico could be a driver that has what it needs to win a title. Just like Damon Hill.
@ErosaScuderia what's that have to do with this video?
Alonso fought till the end in the 2nd maybe even the 3rd best car on the grid. If Vettel and Webber were better drivers and we KNOW the Redbulls were the class of the field they should have won the title a long time ago. As far as Massa letting him trough for a win...some guy called Shumacher did the same to him teammates for a long time. Also Montoya did the same for "the ice man" in the Mclaren, Massa and Kimi did it for each other for 2 seasons in the Ferrari. Think you know the game better?
@patkayable
right.
