Beautiful. Just beautiful. Ideal for dancing. Not so much for military marching but who wants to... ?LOL. Actually sounds ideal for the original intended marching (besides dancing) which was for sun roasted Spanish Summer afternoon popular "pasacalles", when nobody wants to collapse fast marching after a paella and red wine. Thanx from Barcelona.
I really like this version. It sounds like the tempo is being pushed a little bit at a time which is awesome. Do you think you guys can do Toccata for Band?
@@DTux5249 Absolutely! Too many bands play this way too fast, at about 128 bpm, and even much faster. One military band version on RUclips rattles through it at about 144, and it sounds awful. A march is usually around 112 to 120.
@@RWBHere my band played it at 132bpm and I loved the way it sounded. Gave me massive circus vibes. But, we were sitting. So I can get why a marching band wouldn't.
Does like... Is there a video of how i can play measure 66 on trumpet? LIKE Im struggling to get that part and im the only one with first trumpet for this song
I wonder why you changed the author's name to Jamie when it's Jaime. As if it weren't enough with the endless debates in Spain about being Jaime or Jaume and Texidor or Teixidor. Spanish or Valencia-Catalan. Or was this a way to settle in the middle?. Like let's make him English...LOL
You're welcome. Actually I thought as much. I was just being silly. The fact remains that I find this version the best I have ever found on YT and I am grateful because this happens to be my favourite pasodoble which as a rule are very toreadorlike or/and nationalist. This is (beginning with the title) mainly romantic- In this version at 1:08 the musicality turns totally sensual which I think goes for the woman of the title. Amorous?.
I remember playing this in high school over 50 years ago. Always liked this song.
It's great to hear this excellent paso doble being performed at a sensible march tempo. Thank-you! 🙂👍

the times I've played this, its always so fast, this seems a little slow to my liking but very fun as always
I mean, it is a march. This about as fast as it'll get

Best at 1.25 speed
1.25 is the speed we are doing haha
True
My band was supposed to play this for Festival. It got canceled thanks to corona. Now it makes me super sad whenever I hear this song. 😔
@James Ernst 2020 sucks
Why? That destroys it. It's not a gallop.
Good precision in this performance. I wonder if it might be enhanced with more contrast in the dyanics and stronger use of crescendos.
The xylophone part was pretty fun ngl
OMG REAL. I just got it the other day and I actually get to play a lot. It sounds rlly good too!
oleee!!!!❤💛❤

gosh this brings back memories ❤❤❤
breadsadist me too I played this like 3 years ago in honor band
El tiempo es perfecto. No sé por qué las bandas americanas lo tocan tan rápido. Así está muy bien.
Es que vales pura verga y no sabes tocar como nosotros
I love that my part for first clarinet is different than what's on here 😅
Que programa usa que suena tan real?
Es una grabación real. La editorial no usa programas.
A Tom and Jerry flash game brought me here
The one we are playing is much faster, but I like it :]
As a flute player I'm dying inside

Just a typo, actually. Thanks for the catch.

I honestly prefer the Gary Fagan arrangement
way too slow, I had to play this at at least twice the speed
use the RUclips-Feature to increase the speed
This is actually the original version of the song. My band did the fast version but it's not supposed to be fast at all because it's a march
1.25x speed sounds best
@@LuisMartinez-ih2oc same
I was in high school. this was our final concert as a test
Well it was certainly not twice the speed, you can barely make out the song at that speed
Torture for clarinets playing offbeats constantly
It's not a march, it's a pasodoble.
Pretty sure I got PTSD from this
Has anyone play this at a perade?
My band marched to this at the State marching contest
@@blazaking2176 you have to march fast lol
Man I played this on a parade i played this on Trombone .... I do not really know if this sounds good on parade lol 😂
VISCA SANTA TECLA
WTF IS THIS !! THIS IS SO SLOWWWWW OMLL WHYYY !!!
Its slow cuz yall played the white suburban version.
