@@_qwerty_3545 Yeah, for a solid minute, I was confused, I was like, "That ain't NO trombone." As someone who's played it for a solid 5 years now, I haven't been made to play that low on a tenor yet.
Viola and trombone tripped me up and reading the comments most everyone else as well. Some tricky excerpts of those instruments’ lowest ranges, probably not entirely fair for this kind of test
My guesses! 1. Trumpet 2. Bassoon. 3. Oboe 4. Cello 5. Flute 6. French horn 7. Glockenspiel 8. Cello? 9. Trombone 10. Violin 11. Triangle 12. Double bass 13. Clarinet 14. Timpani 15. Tuba 100%! Background: I’ve been in band for 3 years, I play the tuba. This was fun for me to test my skills but it was pretty difficult considering our band has no string instruments so I had to guess of those. 😅
I love the song the double bass played . I can't stop listening to it . Can you make a video on this but all of them into that song I heard on exercise 12 please thank you .❤😄
@@Athiakbior5794 orchestras featuring strings unlike bands does not mean they exclude every other type of instruments. You are thinking of a string orchestra/ensemble
Ok so, I'm a musician I promise but I never heard a bassoon in my life and thought it was one of the brass family.... Violins are a little difficult but i got 3/4 violins.
That is the sound of the viola in its lowest range of notes - the lowest note heard in the excerpt is C#3 using the alto clef (the lowest note a viola can play is C3).
It’s actually a viola. Cellos sound warmer, you can usually tell the difference between both timbres through their lower strings. Violas sound shallower and colder in the C string.

3:05 been playing trombone for 4 years, I dead ah thought that was a tuba. That’s one crisp bass trombone though
ON BRO FRRR
somebody's rocking it out on that triangle man
Didididing diding diding didididididididding diding
That's 100% a bass trombone
thank you! I thought I was going insane it was so low lmao
Yea, it's 100% lower than I expected

You could kinda tell as a tuba can’t play with that much flexibility
(I’m a tuba player)
Just letting you know, the cello picture is just a smaller double bass
As a cellist this makes me so mad
Ikr
and the glockenspiel isnt right. thats a bell kit (theyre similar but still different)
Hey I was gonna say that ):
Viola and trombone tripped me up and reading the comments most everyone else as well. Some tricky excerpts of those instruments’ lowest ranges, probably not entirely fair for this kind of test
Ok so I got viola, French horn and I guess trombone wrong but dude trombone literally sounded like a tuba. That’s for sure a bass trombone
The cello picture is not a cello! It’s a 5-string bass!
thats what i was saying 😭😭😭
1. Trumpet
2. Bassoon
3. Oboe
4. Viola
5. Flute
6. French horn
7. Glockenspiel
8. Cello
9. Trombone
10. Violin
11. Triangle
12. Double bass
13. Clarinet
14. Timpani
15. Tuba
Viola tricked me out!
Cello be looking kinda sacrilegious with those 5 strings and tapered shoulder…
Yeah.. thats definitely a baroque cello.. If not, a quarter size bass.
@ oh right it’s a viol da gamba
Why is the picture for the cello a miniature double bass
My guesses!
1. Trumpet
2. Bassoon.
3. Oboe
4. Cello
5. Flute
6. French horn
7. Glockenspiel
8. Cello?
9. Trombone
10. Violin
11. Triangle
12. Double bass
13. Clarinet
14. Timpani
15. Tuba 100%!
Background: I’ve been in band for 3 years, I play the tuba. This was fun for me to test my skills but it was pretty difficult considering our band has no string instruments so I had to guess of those. 😅
That’s a double bass not a cello, they just shrunk the double bass and called it a cello 😭🙏
I‘ve never gotten so angry before
the fact they made the photo of the tuba a baritone…
In the strings section This is a mini double bass
The trombone has too harsh sound for a tuba at that range
As a freshmen in band I have never heard half these instrument played properly before 😂
Who said cello for viola 😅
Me
That was the only one I got wrong
Me 😅
Me
Me it was the only thing I got wrong
The Trombone Sounds Like a tuba
as a tuba player you can just barely hear its an octave higher
Bass trombone probably
I love the song the double bass played . I can't stop listening to it . Can you make a video on this but all of them into that song I heard on exercise 12 please thank you .❤😄
I think that is from the soundtrack to Pirates of the Caribbean.
Yes, the double bass one is Pirates of the Caribbean and the oboe is Ode to Joy.
The viola one isn’t a cello because it’s too bright in tone,
where's the bass trombone?
I thought the trombone was a tuba because of how low it was playing, got everything rlse right though
2:43
3:29
THAT'S NOT A CELLO!!
I got all them right
As a Violinist And seen different instruments why is the cello a double bass
what was the piece played by the viola?
PIRATES OF CARRIBBEAN
got them al right
😅no supe identificar el timbre de mi propio instrumento 1:21
I thought it's a cello😂😂😂
Really?
Es que parece un cello
How is the song from 1:54 called?
Princess Leia theme from Star Wars
@@DiegoRamirez-sv4pb Thanks.
@@t-06 of course!
Omg is that Star Wars I hear from the French horn
Yup Leia's theme
@@gabegillespie8172 yes I noticed that
That last tubaplayer!!!!
3:29 kinda sounds like one of Beethoven’s String quartets
Saxophones are also in the woodwind family because of the reed
Read the title bro
@@Sejund yeah. I did and my self right now is questioning why are there band and woodwind instruments also playing if the title was orchestra

14/15 😭 that tromboneeeee
Where’s saxophone in the woodwind section
Saxophone is not considered an orchestra instrument, though it is a woodwind
Where is the octobasse in the string family?
Edit: guys it's a joke 😭
Saxophones are not members of most orchestras. The same reason why bass clarinets, euphoniums, and a lot of percussion is missing.

Not a mini bass
Violin sounds funny😂
Where is saxophone 🎷
Bro forgot the saxophones and the euphoniums/baritones
The third one was definitely a cello, not a viola.
I got the trombone and viola wrongg
I thought viola was cello and trombone tuba
I meant this is a cello
THAT WAS NOT A VIOLA
Number 4 It’s not a viola it’s a cello
