Great tutorial! I love making rollercoasters that are 'believable', so something like this is really appealing to me. The observation about stacked sections is a good one too. It really adds a historical/budget theme to the track straight away.
Heck yeah, coaster building tutorials! I've only ever built very "RCT-style" coasters before, either big unrealistic monsters or tiny ugly money-makers. Been trying to learn how to make prettier coasters, the stacked track looks so good, great tip!
Many thanks! I hope it proves helpful for you! There's some coaster types where stacking doesn't look so good - but I find that wooden coasters generally work well with it!
I really like the way you added supports to stop stacked sections of track from looking like the upper layers are floating. I've tried that before, but it hasn't always looked right.
Thanks! Glad you liked the look of the supports! I actually ended up using the steel latticework on the sides as well as the wooden structure - I think they worked surprisingly well and I didn't even have to disable clearance checks for them
Thank you for the tutorial! Im really gonna use this tutorial for my parks from now on! I still wait for the steeple chase one, but that will come one day i hope
Agreed, its throughput is so so - although its cheap-ness can be beneficial. I quite like the look of them so I usually build them when I get the chance
What annoys me about this coaster type is that a lot of the really old coasters can take steep hills, they just have a person in the back of the train manually breaking during the ride to control the speed while in rct this coaster type doesn't allow for that or for steep hills.
Yeah I get where you're coming from. As long as you don't mind using a combination of cheats and the ride vehicle editor in OpenRCT2, there should be a way of getting past the steep hill issue. The person braking is probably quite tricky to implement too - having said that the addition of the alpine coaster recently does this, so maybe in the future something similar could on the cards? Thanks for stopping by!
Interesting - I'm guessing maybe you got unlucky with the heaviest possible combination of guests. It comes so close to the speed threshold even with an empty train!

That's great! I'm glad you liked it. Yeah the stacked sections work quite well with most wooden coaster types I've found!

Love this! More of these videos for different coaster types please!
Thanks very much Zach! If there's a particular type you'd like to see let me know!
You’re very welcome! Perhaps the suspended swinging coaster? Those are classics, I’d love to see your presentation of them!
Ah yes! That would be a great one to do, it can certainly be a tough one - Thanks for the suggestion!

Always a good day when you upload a video, great little coaster!
Thanks, Jay! Glad you like the coaster!

You're welcome! Thanks for the suggestion and hopefully you've found it helpful! I will get around to the steeplechase one eventually!
@@MickanMansRCTStation that would be great
The side friction coaster isn’t the best for scenario play, but I always liked the challenge. I don’t mind building it when it’s available.

Good
Thanks!

Finally!!! Lol 🙌🏽🙌🏽🙌🏽
Hahaha, I thought it was pretty quick for me! :P
Roman Racers always does eventually crash I used it in a few of my parks and it ran fine for a few years and then one day it just crashed
