  • On May 10th I finally got access to the free trial of Tesla Full Self Drive. I was out of town when the software update went through, and this was my first chance. I had to run a few errands and it happened to be raining.
I plan to film a bunch of tests before the free trial period ends. If there is something you would like to know, please let me know in the comments.

Thanks for taking me along for the ride. As a non-Tesla owner, this is informative. Enjoy your videos!

Try a decreasing radius turn while on FSD. and be ready on the brakes.

Thank you for this video. Very informative to see how FSD works, especially in different weather conditions. I'm waiting on a delivery date for my 2024 Model Y. Will definitely take advantage of the FSD free trial after getting comfortable with regular autopilot once I get the Model Y. I'm going to miss my 2022 Bolt EV though.

Mine does the same thing when concluding a destination in a parking lot. Somehow that will get connected to parking I imagine.

You can use either the left or right scroll wheel whenever it asks you to apply force on the wheel. Most preferably, I just reduce or increase the volume with the left scroll wheel and that solves the nag each time. I prefer that instead of trying to actually apply force on the wheel, which could disengage FSD or not enough force is observed and FSD shuts off. Nice video though.

The thing I do not like is the nag does not always go off when I shake the wheel one time I kept on going adding more pressure both directions until it over rode and kick out of auto pilot

The wallpaper and the wiper controls are part of the spring software update. You should still have them after your FSD trial ends

Thanks! After your comment I dug through the release notes and of course they were there. Had to scroll so far down I must have missed it

I find that having my hands on the steering wheel does nothing to stop the nags. However when I use my knee against the steering wheel, I get almost no nags.

You're not supposed to use "Summon" in a public parking lot. Just a heads up. I haven't tried it because of that.

    Navigation still needs work.

The version you have today, will more than likely not be what's avalable in 2 or 3 weeks.

I'd like to see how FSD handles speed bumps. Plus, is it true that FSD refuses to move at all if it has a traffic come on its hood?

I’ll add those to the list and try them out.

So many speed bumps videos out there. FSD sees most of them and slows down accordingly. So this is actually quite good in the latest releases. There are some odd cases of course, just like we don't see them sometimes in time, plus potholes are still an issue.

There is better FSD for those who want it. It's called Uber, Bus or Train.

    • @hvu6037
      @hvu6037 2 месяца назад

Hardly. Bus don't run in rural areas and not after certain time. Train in America? Sure! Uber is not always available. FSD is very helpful for the elderly and/or can't drive due to illness or a handicap once it's fully perfected. Just think of having a car that can take your elder parents to their doctors safely whenever they need to. Or anywhere. How good their quality of life would be. That's what FSD could and will do once Tesla worked out the last .001% of the problems.

@@hvu6037 Lol. Okay. .001% left huh? I imagine there will be a bunch of elderly people soon lined up to jump in an FSD vehicle alone. I'm sure you could sell water to a well.

FSD will never become a thing, there are simply too many variables in real life. Cool driver assistance but it will never drive for you 100%.
