I wish i could show this to everyone who comments on my youtube saying i dont bend over enough when i do my bent over row. I'm in the same position as he is, and i always think they feel great!! Miss you, sir❤
Thank you for posting this. For the moderator, is there a chance you could post some of John’s videos where he bashes people with chairs? Those were some of the funniest videos and I think it would be great for John’s fans to see what he was like when not educating people.
Back in the day guys used to row with their backs completely bent over with the chest facing the floor.. Over the years the style has changed, I think Dorian Yates was the one who started it and now guys are doing rows practically standing up straight, it almost looks as if some of them are performing shrugs instead of rows
There is no right answer. Pendlay rows are good. Bent rows are good. Yates rows are good. Different grip widths are good. It just depends on the goal, target muscles, or if it's used to assist another lift in getting stronger. Even the form on any style of row can be altered to work the back differently. Arnold completely rounded and arched his back on most variations. That was good for erectors and total back involvement. John is doing them more strict, which is better to isolate certain back muscles (depending on grip width and elbow path). There really is no right answer, and you aren't restricted to one row movement either.
He is missed.
My continued condolences to the family.

❤ I actually need to refine my heavy standing rows

Is this type of barbell row better than the pendlay row from the floor?
Yes.
Different types of row for very specific goals.
Try both exercises and see what works for you 😀

Barbell rows have never worked for me, heavy dumbell rows work a lot better for me.

Yeah, a lot of people tend to use more weight than what they’re ready for. Everyone’s aware of the ego lift.
Are we sure his really gone? I mean, how many videos did he prerecord? 😅
Also, von der Sprachgeschwindigkeit ein paar gänge zurück schalten, viel zu schnell die Übersetzung, versteht man kein Wort
