    I can see it now...Meadow, with a Columbia education takes over with a deep secret of T's where abouts in the witness protection program--something all the other families want to know since he ratted them out. She has a chauffeur (since she is a very poor driver) who may work for others trying to get that secret which also keeps her safe. She's often visited by a man in a gray Varsity jacket (the same federal agent who picked up T at the dinner that last night he was seen) who is trying to turn Meadow, but has become romantically involved with Carmella and seriously thinks about joining the family in more ways than one. Great ongoing plot, Kino. (I only need a "finder's fee" of cash only in a brown paper bag, with a cut that I'll give to Tony who is down the Shore--ooops)!

    “Not Fade Away” is a great film! It was one of James Gandolfini’s final performances, and he killed it in the role. He goes from a tough, unsympathetic father to man who slowly starts to understand just how important his son’s passion for music really is.

    Kino, you'll be known as one of The Sopranos' best analysts & You Tube content creator. We've enjoyed all of your theories and explorations. Even your live feed comparing possible wives from the show and a couple others. That was unfocused as hell, but we had fun.
    Sadly, Chase lost the plot with "...Newark." We won't even explain again how awful the prequel film was. It's too painful.

    The sopranos was already a woke and contemporary show for it’s time, it still has nuanced depictions of class and identity and crime in america, and had heavy commentary on masculinity and mental health. Just the amount that they go over and represent psychology in the sopranos, all the therapy sessions and his fainting episodes and him being open about sensitive topics in his life to a female therapist, would be considered “woke pandering for people who think masculinity is toxic” or some shit today.
    Woke has completely lost it’s meaning, anything someone doesn’t like or understand is woke now.

    • @muttipi
      @muttipi Год назад +1

      @@Spooky_515 I’d love to address your point but it’s literally incomprehensible, liberals are center-rightists who only care about being “woke” and “pc” aslong as it makes them a quick buck, I’d consider commodifying entire civil rights movements and identities as the least “woke” thing a centrists political group could do, also liberal democrats have historically been anti-“woke/pc” and are always on the side of conservative culture war nonsense and anti-leftist policies that directly violate the constitutional rights of people they deem too politically extreme, look at the response democrats had to bernie sanders for example. What is the pc handbook, why can’t you people ever actually point to an example of things being woke or pc while I can point to multiple examples of very overtly left wing ideas in things like the sopranos or the many saints of newark, like the episode where an fbi agent works with a literal mob boss to racially profile muslims as potential terrorists, have you ever actually watched the sopranos or are you just talking out of your ass and regurgitating fox news culture war talking points?

    The Sopranos is already "woke" (a term that never had a firm definition yet has still managed to lose all meaning). It has a pretty diverse cast and where it doesn't is easily understood as the nature of the story being told, despite all the on-screen racism, sexism, homo/transphobia, jingoism, xenophobia, etc, all the bigotry is framed as being negative and you're never meant to identify with it with the truly brilliant part being that many of the counters to this come off as disingenuous so to point out the type of people who virtue signal their faces off but don't really mean what they say.
    It's a show that acknowledges the economic, systemic, and generational nature of crime and poverty, it touched on an often taboo topic of how frequently prominent community leaders sell out the people, touched on the often neglected fact of wealth theft that took place for hundreds of years til it was in it's later phases such as ripping off kid's rights to their music, the plights of immigrants, the difficulty of reentry for the incarcerated, the plights of minority demographics trying to keep their cultures alive in places that demand assimilation or exile, the military, the civilian misunderstandings about the wars, there's a long list of subtle and not so subtle things that these crybaby types that can't shut up about everything being "wOkE" would hate if it was executed differently or they simply weren't smart enough to pick it up from the show - but it's there.
    A couple of stand-out instances are where Carmella then Tony cry about how "they" supposedly shove homosexuality down your throat, a go-to for the whiners, but in both instances they're meant to be the irrational, incorrect ones in the situation and T takes it even further by being a raging hypocrite that hates male/male but says he's fine with female/female before eventually landing on his own apathy or acceptance of it all while holding it still can't stand because the culture won't allow it.
    I can't go on but my point is just to say that I'm afraid your script may be doomed.

      I read your entire thesis and now feel dumber for having done so. It was like listening to a crack head at a gas station go into great detail about something he thinks he really has a grasp on. In his head, he makes perfect sense. To the sober people listening, it's just gibberish.
