      @@outlander234 According to Socialblade he gained 10K subscribers on the Friday before last, very out of the ordinary. I’m not sure if he released a Hans video that day, but it’s a good strategy to draw in more people searching for the drama, especially those new to the chess world. I can’t think of a better channel either, win win =)

    Hans is the most underrated chess player in history - his true rating is at least 3400-3500 but he is forced to play 2600-2800 low rated scrubs just for our entertainment.

      @@nourjacques5103 Yoo blundered on move 12.Qc3??, at GM level a blunder will cost you the entire game, even then, 14.Bxh6? was also a mistake by Yoo.
      Hans made 2 inaccuracies and 1 mistake at 91% accuracy. Yoo made 1 inaccuracy, 1 mistake and 3 blunders at 78%.
      Over 90% accuracy is very common in GM games.

    I've seen someone suggest that Kb7 was a suspicious engine move, but it seems logical -- it avoids potential check or pin from a Q on f5 and protects the bishop, unlike Kb8. My weak engine at depth 33 says Rh5 is actually the best move (-9.5), followed by Kb7 (-6.9) and Kb8 (-4.6).

      To be fair, for a good player 100% accuracy for a 9 move game isn't impossible. I'm not saying that he hasn't cheated, I'm just saying that in this specific case it isn't abnormal. The 45 move games with 100% accuracy, however, are very suspicious to me.

    Agadmator seems like he has the best attitude out of everyone involved in this situation. He remains respectful to both sides of the argument, yet he does what everyone else SHOULD be doing, which is putting a microscope on all of Niemann's games. If Magnus was able to play multiple games at the same time, blindfolded, and still win, then Niemann should be able to withstand a little scrutiny.

      But he also does not mention the specific moves that garnered attention to the games... even just a small mention of the particular moves strength? It was king b7 that turned heads. Waiting moves are overlooked numerous times, (likely due to development maxims with a focus on optimization of tempii) when you see it, you think oh yeah that's a good simple move, but only a very small percentage of humans would ever even consider it. Maybe his coach taught him how to actually find moves like that, or he focus developed the skill while playing online?

      @@zombieninjapitbull3856 actually it's very important before you actually launch an all out attack on the enemy's king, because your own king was in danger and could break the rhythm of your attack... If he were using engine, then he might not need to do a passive move like Kb7 if he knew his king were safe 😂🤷

    Half the reason I watch the videos are to practice myself and enjoy the game to see who wins. Just like in The NFL, NHL, NBA and other sports. When I see spoilers in the title or the first line of the description, it really makes me not want to watch the video. Especially if it spoils a match I really wanted to see. Just my opinion though.

    4:26 Queen trade is actually the engine top move. The idea is to take the pawn on f3 after trading queens and losing the knight. Still a very bad position for white though.

    If Yoo goes Qa5 at 2:17 (or at several points after) can't he force the queen forward and then the king forward, by taking the pawn next with Qxa4 in a very nasty predicament since he already controls the e file with his rook. I don't even see the need to wait to bring the bishop off the back file to support with Be3 (which is also nice) instead of Bh5 which seems pointless.

      1. We have just witnessed the instant, sudden appearance of a superhuman player out of nowhere. 2. That player in in the process of ruining his own name. Nope, sorry, his name was already ruined: that player is continuing to ruin his name.
      Of course no action should be taken until definitive proof is available, but why some people are desperately trying to believe is beyond my comprehension.

    It's games like these that makes me love chess so much. Black plays doesn't even play first so is always playing catch-up, pieces have pros and cons and overall determines the outcome of success, every decision reflects another part Of you and success or failure is dependent only on yoo ( LOL).

      Back then, I preferred to play as black, because I like to play defensive and observes what my opponent wants to do, then counterattack accordingly, but after I play online and many top players prefer white with the reason of having the attacking initiative, now I play a completely different playstyle 🤷 I still think that I'd prefer black slightly, though... 🤔🤷

      Um. Not necessarily. GMs make mistakes all the time and their opponent is not always able to capitalize. Spotting the ways to punish Christopher's mistakes in this game was not at all easy. Hans is statistically the best player in history over the last two years, and a known cheater, but just because his opponents play suboptimal, you think he's legit. I got news for you, even super GMs almost never play 100% accuracy, so just because there were mistakes doesn't mean Hans is legit. That's devoid of logic.

      ​@@donquixote8462 the analysis you are referring is from Yosha, and it is quickly discredited by Dr. Ken Regan, the leading anti-cheating expert in chess and consulted by FIDE. One thing to note is that, according to Yosha, Niemann has several 100% games with engine correlation. But one of more of these games, Niemann LOST. How can you lose playing 100% engine top moves? Meaning her statistics is all plain wrong.

      @@malibunights7108 did you know that Niemann played all those top engine moves with basically no time spent? Also did you know that Niemann has the highest accuracy of any player that ever existed in 5 tournaments in a row? Both ACCURACY and engine correlation.

    Recently, I sent another #suggestion
    1 - about tan zhongyi Vs the women's blitz champ bibisara in the FIDE women's grand prix. There's an 8-move endgame puzzle with a rook sac there that was found. It's insane.
    2 - Hopefully this or my other suggestion about the 12-move #9LX puzzle in the Anish Giri Vs Eric Hansen game will be the topic of a video in the near future.
    3 - Or maybe Anish Giri Vs the world rapid champion Nodirbek in the Offerspill final #9LX I've yet to send agad a #suggestion e-mail on this since it ended just recently.
    But eh it's just gonna be more Hans and Magnus right?

    I’m confused…being new to chess doesn’t “mate in 9 “ mean you checkmate your opponent in 9 moves ? Or do you start counting from some other point in the game?

      It means if you both play the best moves you will checkmate him in 9. It can take longer if you make mistakes, and it can be in fewer than 9 if your opponent makes mistakes.

    In this game C. Yoo made 3 blunders, 1 innaccuracy and 1 mistake for 78% accuracy rating. Hans made 2 innaccuracies and 1 mistake for 91% accuracy with 25 centipawn loss. Hardly Alphazero here butthat doesn't fit the narrative.
