I will NEVER get tired of seeing the episodes of Andy with these folks. What great musicians and funny episodes. Maggie singing “There Is a Time” is amazing. Also, I love how the boys stay in character here with their facial non-expressions. Just awesome stuff. My mom had a Dillards album but she’s now passed. I need to ask my dad if he still has that.
It's unbelievable. I never would have guessed that the cast member who changed the least, was Briscoe Darling (Denver Pyle). Literally looks EXACTLY the same. They really missed a golden opportunity for nostalgia to have him introduce the song with one of his classic lines, eg. "ya got time to breath, ya got time fer music."
Sometimes you get used to hearing a song performed by a certain group and when someone else performs the same song it just doesn't sound as good. I've never heard a song by the Dillards that sounded better, or even as good as when Maggie sang it - _There Is A Time_ is a perfect example.
Bart do you have all the show of Andy Griffith uptown downtown show and the other one you have with Jim nabors? I like to buy them for my residents at the assisted living home
I want to hear them play Never Hit Your Grandma with a Stick.
Oh wait, that one always makes her cry.
She will just have to fight it
Every song they played made her cry !!!
RIP Maggie Peterson! She passed this week at 81 in 2022
😢
The Dillard's are excellent musicians. To have Denver Pyle playing his jug was a nice addition. 😊

Awesome to see Denver Pyle on the stage with them.
The thing I love most about the Dillards is the bass player. He's a great bass player, but it's the pipe. He always looks like such a badass.
Actually smoking a pipe if you pay enough attention.
Gotta love The Dillards!
The Dillards got me to listen to Bluegrass music when they were on the Andy Griffith show. Back then I have never heard of Bluegrass music.
Sad most of them are gone.

I love the dillards/darlings! I'm a northern girl but love that blue grass music 🎵🎶🎶🎵
Y'all are wonderful always love seeing you on the Andy Griffith show 😊👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾💚💟💚💟💚💟💚👍🏾
Dillards are my family
U wish..
They were great!!!
Awww that one makes me cry!
I have literally no idea my Uncle Denver does it, but he does it!
😅
Loved them on the Andy Griffith show and still do.
Ssooo sweet memories! Thanks so much! 🥰❤️👍👏👏👏👏🇺🇸💥☄️
I really liked the Dillard's.
First to ever hear her really sing. She was great.
She's actually prettier here than when she was on Andy. Got prettier with age. Not many women can claim that.
Sings a little better,more depth.
The Dillards were so good. Adding Maggie Peterson singing and Denver Pyle on the jug helps.
Denver pays a mean Jug !
He can get banjo sounds, guitar sounds, whatever you want out of it!
Charlene's real name is Margaret Ann Peterson. She married a jazz musician named Gus Mancuso.
Thank you.
I wish people would put the date of the performance on videos
Thank goodness I grew up at a time when a wholesome, non-profane, openly Christian show was allowed on TV.
The Rifleman actually quoted scripture!!!
Dillards, Darlins was on Andy Griffith show.
Hooray for Maggie! 💘
it's wild that mitch was the oldest of the 4 and yet looked younger than even rodney lol
More Pow'r to ya
With Denver Pyle, wouldn't that make them the Darlings?
Anyone know what hear this was? Assuming 80s

Anyone know what year this was filmed? Denver died 1 in 1997...
Shortly before Nashville Now folded - 1993.
