Steve i installed bushwhacked fenders flair on a F150 I had a few years . As Aviation Tech we use 3M 5453 PTFE Glass Cloth Tape Chafe tape myself when two metals surface rub together I use this on my f150 3 years later removed the flares no rub on the truck paint
Nah man the front ones look good the back no way. Not with that wheel combo and you're right. #1 cause of rust over wheel wells are those fender flairs after they eat through the paint. Take it from an adjuster that looks at body work all day. Old Dodge pickups only thing left of the bed sides are the plastic Flares. Lol
I was going to ask you which part of Canada you were from , so now I know.Fort McMurray Alberta. I’m from Kitchener Ontario (southern Canada) winters are damp and cold and summers are hot and humid 👍🏻
I have 20's with 35x12.5 with a -22 offset. I had to cut about 2-3 inches of front wheel wells off. I have same type of flares and the wheels are even with the edge of them.
Steve, I know you have that 6" lift now, but as far as I know, you still have 35"s. On your previous lift would you have ever gone with 37"s? Or, if your previous lift was the BDS 4" lift, would you go with 37"s or recommend 35"s? Im getting that 4" BDS lift for my 2020 Rebel, and tossing the coin between 37"s and 35"s.
I'm about to get the BDS 4" too. Go search Rebel Atlas from Forged 4x4 and you can see what 4 inch and 35s looks like. It's beast. 37 would probably also be awesome haha
@@HammerdownMotorsportsUSA do you have any idea if they will release the vertex coil overs in a 3.5 inch lift for the 2021 ram 1500? I really want to get them but I don’t think I’m ready for a 6 inch lift.
Glad you didn't go with the fender flares. They look ok but like you said, it makes your 35s look like training wheels. Also, you lose that unique look that your Rebel seems to have so far. I feel like those type of fender flares are becoming played out. Maybe a different design would be better with some 37s. 22x14 wheels with 37s?
I don't like them. I have tge factory color matched ones. I think they look much better. Maybe if you color matched the Bushwacker they would look better.

Hey I’m a barber in fl I salute your barber for that beard trim 🔥🔥🔥
Good seeing Wes again, and being himself. 😆
Thanks for sharing. I was close to doing it over my oem flares but when you mentiioned it'll mess up the clear coat I decided not to go that route.
Another reason to switch to 37's. Just do it! When you say the word "out" I can tell you're from Canada. Keep the mods coming!
Nice to see westy healthy! Great video again!
I'm about to run a -18...maybe a -12 and I worry about getting pulled over in Maryland. Good to know they makes some flares that will help
Great video! Easy decision for me not to put fender flares on my Rebel after seeing this! Thank you for this content.
I'd say keep it as it is. Looks great!
Todd repping that West Texas shirt. Lubbock represent!

Front looks great, but you are so right the rears just don't work with those tires. I love it when one upgrade needs another!
I've got 17" -34 wrapped in Toyo RT 35's. Almost perfectly flush..
Get the guards....
Factory ones look cheesy.

Another Canadian fan here. I have the same truck. Look into trying bushwhacker flat flairs.
Thanks for watching I’ll have to check them out
Something to consider EGR, Rough Country SF1, and MaxMate provide same look but not as large as Bushwhackers.
Awesome copycat... Love mine👍👍.. haha

I did those on my Rebel but I put -44’s on wrapped in 35’s
I have the pocket styles on my 2021 ram 1500 sport and I went with a -18 offset and they look good.
well analyzed. the rears dont work at all
I'd put the Bushwacker's on & paint them white to match. I've got'm on my truck & they keep the side of the truck clean.

Ahh cool yeah I’m originally from the Edmonton area but moved to fort Mac for that oil money
The RekGens are hella nice.
I dont like the bolt style, wish they made some smoothy flares
I'd put the fender flares on I think they look good

Wow how big is your lift?
6 inch
Didnt know you were from Canada or worked in the oilsands. Watching this episode at site now.
Lol awesome yeah I worked at base mine syncrude and Aurora, shitty Mildred lake, and albian and suncor for Finning good times in the sand box
Have you had any issues with the -12 offset and throwing rocks at the side of the truck?
Nope it tucks enough
color match them 👍
I also had Linex coat them
Keep that hammerdown!
Yeah, I'm not a fan of fender flares. Good call.
Wheels? Link please? 🙏🏼 RPB SPIKE? Me like. Thanks
yes the rbp spike I got them from custom offsets

Not a fan of the flares . Prefer the factory ones. I’d go for off-road flaps depending on how the look.
How are you liking the vertex coil overs?
Working great soaks up the big stuff like nothing

@@chromeztv4122 not sure but should be the same as the 2020

Hmm if you do them you gotta get wider wheels and tires $
What is ur bed size?
Put the bushwackers on
👎 on flares. Good call.
Bushwaker fender flares arnt my style. Look into fiberworks fenders :)

Leave it stock!
Not a fan but to each their own
No flares IMO
First
No
Those fenders are so ugly! Don’t do it
