The lead guitar break played by Rod Price on this song is the BEST, the BEST I've ever heard or seen anywhere and I've been listening to rock and blues for about 52 years. Yup, 52 years. Rod Price is an absolute genius but here, he's having one of those nights where it all just goes right and explodes. Phew.

I had never heard a version of "It hurts me too" that was so violent, hard, and in your face as this was. It was like getting punched by God. I have a new found respect for these guys. Only those of us who saw them live, knew about it. Saw them about 6 times, between '72 and '80, and had their first 5 albums. The live album with this performance, from 1995(?), is one of their best, containing Louisiana Blues (a song they did when part of Savoy Brown), Feel So Good, Sweet Home Chicago, and more. They were a big part of my twenties, and will celebrate them forever! Still on a playlist on a flash drive in my car, those songs and Terraplane Blues, Feel So Bad, Home in My Hand, Wild Cherry, Road Fever, and, I Just Wanna Make Love to You. Always loud, windows down!✌️😎👍

In the 70's These guys were famous for touring more than almost anyone. They were onstage an average of 300 nights a year, all through the 70's, maybe into the 80's too! That is an astounding amount of touring! Then you got to factor in time to write, record albums etc.. Almost no days off ever! Only Jimi himself, early Beatles, and early Allman Bros, and Lynyrd Skynyrd, maybe Mahogany Rush, possibly spent more time on music, or about the same amount.

This live version of this classic is a tour de force elevating the power and keeping the blues element real at the same time. As far as I'm concerned it's the definitive one as such.

Would love to see more of them on YT. Rod is sharp as a TACK. That slide playing is super smokin' and Dave was a great front man and a good a player in his own right. Miss this kind of music and live performances.

Makes me f'ing cry every time I watch it. Two of the most underrated guitarists of all time playing in their late years, but sounding as if it's their first night out back in the sixties. And, backed up by one of the tightest most powerful rhythm sections EVER! Earl, Stevens, Jameson & MacGregor! Salute!! -- RIP Lonesome Dave & Rod P !!

Lonesome (RIP) had it all together. Erik Cartwright was so very good too (RIP 2017), but
I've always preferred original The Bottle = Price (RIP). Originals Roger E. and Tony S.
are so very exceptional! Mr. Earl has always been steady and there; a Mr Beat -
laid just a little bit back. Tony had good substitutes like Craig MacGregor (RIP 2018) who was a great dancer on stage, but hell, Tony was the original bass. Thank you Dave Peverett! Born April 16, 1943; RIP
46+ in Feb 2000. FOGhat; wear one!
