    Love how Molo can push the pocket so solidly and syncopate so nimbly with the other players on the fly- a true master. There's a unique chemistry with these 4 of the 5 original PLQ members (miss you Jimmy!). Sco takes a while to get a lead ramped up but when his fingers fly it's a nugget worth waiting for. It's nice to hear these tunes played at a decent pace and not the "applebee's earlybird special" pace that has become Bobby's preference. Amazing that at 82 years old Phil can still play a 2-hour set (standing up the entire time and without a pee break) ending at 2:20am... Grate Bass, Lesh Philling!

    The sun is sparkling wild and gentle on the stream. Happiness trickling down thru a sunbeam. Clouds of wonder fill the sky. How could someone like I fly so high. So, I stop and sit and close my eyes. Just to find I am the sky to my surprise. That's how I can fly so high. That's how I can touch the sky. One is all and all is One. Sunbeams that have left the sun. One day to return. After the illusion has burned. Happiness runs in a circular motion. I won't forget my devotion. We can keep each other afloat in the sea. I won't forget you, you won't forget me. If I forget, I'm locked out of eternity with no key. These are MY lyrics.

I've seen Brothers Osborne a few times and their performance for Christmas Jam was head and shoulders above any of those previous. John's participation with the other band members was stellar. I'd forgotten Scofield had played so much with Phil & Friends, and it makes such sense that Phil loves him so much: Phil's first real music love was jazz...     I've never fully enjoyed Scofield playing Dead music. He has jazz chops, but when he needs to chug along with chords under Warren, he's just not there. Mason's Children falls apart because of this. Now it turned out cool, but... I don't know... Just do the song and then the jam, imo. Then again, I'm not a fan of song shuffles either. Like Viola all split up. Ymmv 🤘🏽(~);-}
