今まで秀ちゃんかわいい～とか言ってたけど、最近その行動力にはただただ感心の限りだし、多くを見習わせてもらってるし純粋に人として尊敬している
I'm pleasantly surprised when Shu honestly admitted that her current Korean fluency is still rather subpar even after previous videos confirming that she's been studying the language for a while now. But I guess that's also the most direct indicator that there's no easy path in learning, let alone mastering, a foreign language within a desired timeframe. I myself already achieved trilingual status (Chinese, English & Malay) due to Malaysia being my birth country a long time ago, but I did not master Dutch (from my paternal lineage) until I was 15-16 because of how scarce the resources to re-acquire that language in Malaysia, and from there plenty of tricky trials were hurled in my way until I commanded perfect Portuguese & Swedish just a few years ago. Currently my path to also master Japanese, Korean, Spanish & French is still ongoing, but you'll never know how it ends until you successfully achieve what you set to pursue in the first place; Zoe and Kazu proved that it's not an impossible dream.

I understand how you feel travelling alone! Especially to a place where you don't really have a good knowledge of the language.
I still remember my first time to Japan, and even though I studied, I was not as confident as I am now. I've been to Japan for vacation for the 5th time, and overtime, with self-studying, I've gotten a lot more comfortable being in Japan alone! Hoping to live in Japan in the future too!! Great video as always Shu-chan!!

I'm not sure that the restaurant in Hongdae has breaks during the workday?? !?
I arrived in Hongdae around that break time and I was very hungry but didn't find any restaurants open haha.
I love to travel alone...
lastest time I traveled in Japan alone, it was so much fun.
I tried to talk and communicate in Japanese, English..including using pictures
I did something I never would have done when traveling with friend.
like...spend several hours to take a walk on the small and quiet streets, eat at the local restaurants and go wherever I want without planning
It was lonely but I really enjoyed that loneliness :)

I hope it will be a great source of energy for you when you are really busy.
Lets wait until we have enough free time to go somewhere...
No matter what experiences the traveling gives us, I think those are always precious memories :)

Enjoy the freedom and adventure on your own pace by solo travel is very interesting, it feels like you can blend in the different environment and be part of it. To me it’s a very precious experience, but I admit unable to share meal/hotel price with someone is something you have to bear haha.(Thinking about my trip to 広島 in a few days)

I work in a korean restaurant in the US and 3 days ago, the head chef, who is korean made us (the workers) this type of soup (9:17). it was so good. that I hope she makes more for us. definitely thanked her for it.
